Arashi! Aiba Masaki no Rekomen Arashi Remix! 2008.05.23
Opening
Aibachan went to play golf with Matsuoka-san of TOKIO. Aibachan calls him "Matsu nii"
Matsu nii went to pick him up, and the appointed time was 5:50 in the morning. But Aibachan woke up late, actually he woke up only when the phone rang and Matsu nii was already waiting for him in front of his house. XD
A-1 GP Strongest Competition
- A listener who already received more than 65 certificates of various activities. Aibachan said that it makes him feel depressed coz he has only..... graduation certificates! XD
- The listener has 14 PCs (desktop and laptop) at home, and all of them are currently in use. Aibachan bought a laptop but he doesn't use it, so it turned out to be a decorative object in his room... ^^;;
- A listener who finds lost money in the street very often. Aibachan loses his wallet very often, but in almost all the times, it was found by a kind person who gave it back to him.
- The listener told that her mom consumes products that had already passed their shelf life... Aibachan told about something that happened a long time ago, related to shelf life and... poor him! ^^;;
Oshiete Aibachan
- Aibachan, have you ever been in a situation where you don't know exactly how to interact/relate to your family?
- A listener suggested Aibachan to do a psychological test that reveals how dirty/messy is your bedroom. What was the result?
Words in blue are my observations. Sometimes Aibachan talks to someone, but I don't know who he is. So I just put "staff" in orange, assuming that he's someone from the staff. ^^;
As always, many many thanks to aibaland for the audio file! ^^
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
You can lock the cell phone, but don't lock your heart! Arashi・Aiba Masaki no Rekomen Arashi Remix!
Konbanwa! Arashi no Aiba Masaki desu!
The other day ne, I went to play golf with Matsuoka-kun of TOKIO! Think it was about 1 week ago? That we went...
Matsuoka-kun told me that he would come to my house to pick me up. Isn't this wrong!? This situation is already strange. That was supposed to be the opposite! The correct would be me saying stuff like "Matsu nii, I'm going to pick you up, and then I'll go driving." As a kouhai, that would be the obvious thing to do.
Although I told him "Matsu nii, would you like that I go driving?"
He replied "No, it's not necessary. I'll go diving."
Since he told me that, I thought "So it's OK, today I'll rely on him. Maybe Matsu nii likes to drive." though I was still wondering about that.
Eee... Then, at the day... He was supposed to pick me up at 5:50 in the morning. At my house. Then when the phone rang "pururu~", I woke up and it was already 5:50. I thought "UWA!! I did it!!"
I didn't prepare anything yet!
Maa~, I changed quickly, and I wasn't in conditions to know even if I wore a golfwear or not. I just wore anything that was there. When I went down and said "I'm so sorry!" I had already made him await for 15 minutes. Ne?
He was already waiting for 15 minutes, and then when I said "I'm sorry!" and tried to enter the car, he asked me "Omae, where is your golf bag!?"
I forgot it, so I went back again to pick it up.
staff: You didn't take it!?
I didn't! Then I went to pick it up and apologized again. 20 minutes of delay already. In the end, I made him await in front of my house for about 30 minutes in total.
He told me "Are you a soba delivery man!?" Because I kept telling him "I'm leaving now, I'm leaving now" but actually I wasn't ready yet.
staff: Hahahaha!!
Of course ne, since he was waiting for me in front of my house. After such happening, we arrived at the golf course. Me and Matsu nii play golf quite often. And our score was 3 victories and 3 defeats. So there was a very good competition between us. But the last time we went, I finally lost. Now I have 3 victories and 4 defeats. But I was winning all the time. I was always winning, but in the end... Maybe due to a certain pressure, or maybe because he's my senpai... in the end, he beat me.
staff: Does it have sothing to do with your delay?
We already forgot about the delay.
During the play we already forgot about that.
Because the first thing I did when we arrived at the golf club, was to buy a polo shirt. I wasn't wearing a polo shirt, because I was so in a hurry.
And it's so expensive if you buy at the golf club! What a pity...
Next time I would like to play properly, in a more... perfect condition! I'll talk to Matsu nii and ask him to play again.
Then I'll talk about it again in the radio!
So let's start this week's Arashi! Aiba Masaki no Rekomen Arashi Remix!
Again... Konbanwa! It's Aiba Masaki from Arashi! This program is broadcasted to the national network, having Tokyo Hamamatsu's Bunka Housou as the key station.
Quickly, I would like to play tonight's first song. So please listen, Yes? No? by Arashi!
..... Yes? No? .....
A: Yabai! Me ga juuketsu shiteru!
(Oh no! My eyes are red!)
O: Radio desu.
(Don't forget that this is a radio.)
A: Ah, that's true... Arashi・Aiba Masaki no Rekomen! Arashi Remix!
A-1 GP Strongest Competition
The "strongest" thing though it wouldn't be able to go to the Guinness Book. This is a corner where you can boast about something familiar to you that you think it can be the strongest/largest/biggest/amazing.
Let's introduce the "strongest" stuff from everybody this week as well!
There are quite a lot of things ne, in this "strongest" corner! Let's start with this one!
Eee... Radio name Mii-chan! This person is from Ibaragi-ken.
My A-1 is the number of certificates that I have. Those certificates are from 2nd grade of elementary school till 2nd year of junior high. I counted them, and there are 65 certificates. But there are some displayed at my grandmother's house, so actually there are more than 65.
Amazing ne.
As for the types of the certificates, 90% are of Shodo (calligraphy). Besides that, there are some of long jump event in track and field athletics competitions, internal tournaments of skipping roap, and also certificates of honor given to students of Ibaragi-ken who had done a benevolence.
Heee... More than 65 certificates... That's indeed amazing!
Think I have about 2 certificates... Graduation Certificates...
staff: Ah!? Those can be included as certificates?
Eh!? Why? Can't be? They can't be? But it was inside a tube for certificates!
staff: They're another type of certificate.
Those that anyone can receive? Anyone may receive those one?
staff: Hum.
Almost everybody can? I see... So... I don't have anything, if I think in that way.
I did a bit of shodo too. Actually. Gifted and Talented Education, right? I learned a little bit of piano, I did shodo, did swimming, did baseball, had private tutor, I have done various things, though the piano and the shodo, I quitted in like 3 months. Even before being able to receive a certificate... So...
It's making me feel depressed...
And there are people who can receive 65 certificates. Then let's do our best from now on, aiming for certificates... Aiming for the top of the top!
Let me continue! Eee... This one is from... I received this from Sakakibara Mizuho-chan of Chiba-ken!
Eee... Konbanwa! I always enjoy listening. Eee... I'm going straight to what I want to boast about. At my house there are 8 desktop PCs. If we include the laptop too, there are 14 in total. I suppose it's quite a lot. What do you think?
All of them are placed in a room of 7 mats. (In Japan the size of a room is usually measured by the number of tatami mats.)
And also, all of them are currently in use!
Amazing!
14 PCs in a room of 7 mats. I see...
staff: Hahaha!!
There are probably 2 PCs placed in each mat? How amazing!
I still can't use the PC...
staff: Do you have one?
I DO have! Because... You know iPod? I wanted an iPod, so I bought one. But then I realized that I needed a PC for that, to transfer files and such, so I bought a laptop then. The order is reversed though. I bought it but now I'm not using it at all.
Recently I'm kinda using a CD walkman more than the iPod. I'm returning in reverse...
Currently my laptop turned completely into a decorative object... Really!
staff: For mail and message you can use the cell phone.
Yes, that's true. Cell phone... For me, the cell is already enough to do everything.
Chika-san, you use your laptop quite often ne. What, for what purpose do you use it the most? Ah, for work ne!
staff: Yes, for work.
That's true.
staff: Although people in general use the PC quite often too.
Do you think so?
staff: To search and research.
No, we should research by our own feet!
staff: Hahaha!!
Huuumm... It's not good to stay researching on the desk. You have to use your feet!
staff: I'm so sorry...
Research everything on foot! Because the informations may be wrong! I usually research using my own feet. Always. Why of that is because... You can connect the internet through cell phone, but if the page has too many things to load, you can't view on the screen of the cell. That's why you should go directly!
staff: Hahaha!!
To see how it is now! Currently now! The situation of now! Because nowadays people are not using their own feet anymore!
staff: Using your own feet ne.
Yes!
staff: To see with your own eyes!
Let's check with our own eyes!
staff: I shall do it.
Let's do it from now on! At least us! Let's do it, let's do it. Ne?
Let me continue! Continuing.
Eee... This one is from Chiba-ken, I received this from Naru-chan.
Eee... About the title "A-1 GP Strongest Competition". Since 7 years ago, our family find lost money very often. The range of amount of money is very wide, and the highest amount was 190,000 Yen, while the lowest value we found was 1 Yen. Think we already found about 20 times. When I found the large amount of 190,000 Yen or the wallet containing cards and such, I went to the police box and took them to the "lost and found", of course, but don't ask me about the coins that my children happen to find.
Aaah... Sugoi ne...
If someone find 190,000 Yen, I wonder if doesn't happen a kind of conflict of what to do.
staff: But it's 190,000 Yen...
I wonder if the person doesn't feel like "Let it be..."
Or if the person does take it to the lost and found, in the police box, without thinking twice.
I lose my wallet quite often, but it returned back to me in almost all the times. So I always think that it was found by a kind person.
staff: The wallet ne... Maybe if it's only a bill/banknote lost in the street...
Aaah... That's true! Maybe it is!
staff: But if it's a wallet... Then it'll contain cards and driving license and such, so...
I think so ne. It's full of privacy. And it's kind of uncomfortable to open someone's wallet.
staff: Hum.
But if you don't open, you won't know who is the owner.
staff: Yes, you have to open, and then... "Ah!" If you find the name of the owner, you'll take it to the police box as a lost and found item.
That's true, that's true! At that moment, you'll open the wallet, like this...
staff: Yes...
I wonder though. Think the person will end up looking what's inside, for curiosity.
First you look for the license.
Then you'll check like "Ah! This guy has many credit cards..." or "Ah! And it's the gold one." or "It's a black card." Check such things and...
Aaah... I've never found a lost wallet. Do you? Have you ever found a wallet?
staff: Yes, I have. It had the public transportation pass and such... Well, it had almost everything of that person.
So that's something that must be returned back immediately to the owner.
Aaah... Really?
And we have to give a phone call to thank the person who found it. I remember that I gave a phone call to thank the person, and apologizing like "I'm so sorry..."
staff: Hum. Explaining the police man that this person found it for me, and asking for the person's contact to thank.
That's true.
So it's like this... From here everything depends only on you then.
Let's continue. Continuing. From Kagoshima-ken. I received this from Sumire-chan.
Eee... On to the main topic, at my home there are several products that have passed their shelf life. Especially milk, jelly and yogurt. Even if my mother buys a product which is about to pass its shelf life, it doesn't mean that she'll consume the product before the shelf life date. She'll eat it within 2 weeks after it has passed its shelf life.
Haa... At my home there are such things too.
It happened at my parents' house a long time ago. I went back in the middle of the night, and everybody was already sleeping. It was a late time so everybody was sleeping. I came late after work, and I was extremely hungry.
There was gohan (rice) on the counter. Cold gohan. So I put it into the microwave oven and after hearing the sound of "tin!" my tension went up like "Wooh!!", and I was wondering what I should eat with it. Then I decided to eat with "natto" (fermented soybeans). I found natto and I was mixing it. And I didn't turn the lights on, because my dad was sleeping right near there. So I felt sorry for him and didn't turn the lights on. And I was mixing the natto, and put some "karashi" (a kind of mustard, used as a seasoning) and ate it.
After I had eaten more than half, I realized that it was tasting different. So I smelled it and... Natto is already stinky, isn't it? But it was even more stinky!! It was incredibly stinky!!
staff: Even more stinky?
More than the normal. So I thought it was too strange and turned the lights on. When I saw the shelf life date, it had already passed half a year!
Can you imagine half a year, for natto? The soybeans were already very very tiny... I think they were actually bigger before.
staff: The beans were tiny?
They looked really small. That was too... I threw up!
staff: Hahaha!
Not the thing I was eating. But I put my finger down inside the throat and threw up.
Because it had already passed half a year. So I thought I would get sick, for sure, after eating such thing.
Such thing may happen. I suppose it's probably quite troublesome to check the shelf life and throw away. If you notice, of course you'll throw it away, but maybe you don't check it every time.
But I do hope the mothers could check it ne.
So today we had many "strongest" informations as well.
If you also have something that you think it may be the "strongest", please send it to us!
Eee... That was the A-1 GP Strongest Competition!
O: paio-tsu kaide na, derumo no chan-nee mo kiiteru!
(What a big breast, model gals are also listening it!)
A: REALLY?? (maji de??)
A/O: Arashi・Aiba Masaki no Rekomen! Arashi Remix!
(Oshiete, Aibachan!) Tell us, Aibachan!!
I would like to answer the questions I received from the listeners by e-mails and letters! Let's start!!
I received this from radio name Miwa-chan! Arigatou gozaimasu!
Aibachan konAiba!
KonAiba!
I always enjoy listening to your radio show. On to the main topic. Recently I've not being able to talk to my family properly. I become irritated and end up discounting on them. Especially when my father approaches to talk to me, I just ignore him. Then he'll kindly try to talk more, but I don't know how to react and end up taking a very bad behaviour towards him. Aibachan, have you ever been in a situation where you don't know exactly how to interact/relate to your family?
Aaaaah... I see... I think such situation is more common to women ne.
As for my family, I think I was really lucky. Regarding those family situations.
When I was little, I grew up at my grandma's house, so I didn't spend much time with my mom, until I began to attend elementary school. And I think perhaps that turned out to be an advantage.
Think I grew up without having any rebelde fase at all, though I did bring many troubles for them. Although I brought many situations of that kind, I never felt irritated or angry towards my family. And even if I do feel angry, I don't take it so deep.
Think our family is a rare kind of western style family. I think western people really care about their family, don't they?
I wonder what she should do... I wonder what does irritate her so much.
Huuum... But family is family, is neither more nor less than the family. Family is only one. Friends you can have many, but family is only one. So we wouldn't like to have those disagreements in family ne. That's what we want to avoid the most. They're worse than quarrels among friends ne. Because if you think, who will stay by your side, in the end is always the family. To the family, you give unconditional love.
So Miwa-chan ne, maybe little by little, it would be good if you could try to approach and talk to them. I don't understand very well, but perhaps you could start by watching TV together. Even if you don't talk, if you watch the same things, you may feel the same things. If you keep doing such things, I think you may get along very well. So Miwa-chan, try to do your best ne.
Let's continue! Continuing, the next question.
Aibachan konAiba!
Please do this psychological test.
Shall we do it? Let's do it, this psychological test! People who are listening too, are you ready? We're going to start, we'll start the psychological test! Please do it together with us!
You're sleeping in your bedroom, and a ghost appeared there. The ghost is floating above the floor. How many centimetres above the floor do you think the ghost is floating?
Eh? Sorry, wait a moment. You're sleeping in your bedroom, and a ghost appeared. The ghost is floating above the floor. How many centimetres above the floor.
Today my stomach is making noise all the time. I wonder if the noise can be heard? Not? I'm glad then! I'm reeeally hungry!
Wait... Think a little...
Well... I think 1 meter? I have an image that the ghost can be seen above, like this.
So Chika-san, let's check the answer.
staff: The answer?
1 meter!
staff: Eee... This is a psychological test that reveals how dirty/messy is your bedroom.
Really?
staff: Eee... If you answered 2~3cm, then you're an organized person. For more than 20cm, you're a very untidy/disorganized person. And then? 1 meter!?
Hahahaha!!!
staff: It shows how much sloppy/untidy you are.
Wait a moment!! You're saying such things, you may not know but my house is very clean! It's very clean!
Although as for the laundry, I can't say the same. Because I'm the type that usually accumulate a certain amount of laundry to wash them at once.
Do you know the basket where we usually put the laundry? I challenged a new record of it! A-1! It was Aiba-kun's A-1!! Can I tell it?
There is the basket, and I leave the laundry inside the basket. And the pile of laundry reached the roof!!
staff: Hahahaha!!!
The basket is placed in a corner, against the wall.
staff: The pile of clothes didn't fall?
No, because the basket is placed in the corner of the wall, so I thought that perhaps it would be possible to pile up till it reaches the roof. I kept doing that for about 1 week, and it did reach the roof.
staff: You must have many clothes then. (Because Aiba-chan didn't wash his laundry for 1 week...)
Yes, I do. Then, that was what I wanted to boast about.
staff: Including the underwear and everything?
Including the underwear and everything! For 1 week! Actually, during that 1 week, I did have time to wash my clothes, so actually I wanted to wash them, but I resisted because I thought it could reach the roof. And I took a picture of that too!
staff: Hahaha!
I took a photo, as a proof, because there is nobody. I thought that was amazing. I'll bring the A-1 photo next time.
staff: Of all the clothes that you undressed.
Of all the clothes that I undressed!
staff: The record of laundry that you piled up.
Yes, my record. Well, the roof isn't so high though. Think it's like this, about 2 meters?
staff: No, it's more.
About 2 meters and a half then?
staff: Huum...
I accumulated that amount of laundry.
My house is not messy though. Actually it's very clean! The floor, for example, is very clean! So don't say that it's dirty!
staff: Hum.
Did you understand?
staff: But in the psychological test...
A psychological test won't get me.
staff: That's it.
That's it. But let's do a psychological test again, cause it's fun.
staff: Ah, it's fun?
Yes.
