Rekomen 2008.02.15
wow!!! After 1 week of delay... Sorry! Now I'll try to translate this week's Rekomen ASAP ^^ Words in blue are my observations.
Many thanks to Tess-chan (aibaland) for the audio file ^__^
Aibachan always starts his radio show shouting a jingle...
英文法より小籠包が大好きです!嵐・相葉雅紀のレコメン!アラシリミックス!
Eibunpou yori Shouronpou ga daisuki desu! Arashi・Aiba Masaki no Rekomen! Arashi Remix!
(I prefer Xiaolongbao to English grammar!)
Aiba-chan: Konbanwa! Arashi no Aiba Masaki desu!!
This week I wanna go cheerfully as always!
Otsuka-kun: Hai.
A: The jingle we recorded with all our effort...
O: Hai. With all of our effort...
A: Yes...
O: What a big breast, model gals are also listening it!
(This is a sample jingle. The words in this phrase are inverted...
paio-tsu kaide na, derumo no chan-nee mo kiiteru!
It should be...
oppai dekai na, moderu no neechan mo kiiteru!)
A: REALLY?? (maji de??)
A/O: Arashi・Aiba Masaki no Rekomen! Arashi Remix!
A: I think we shouldn't have played that...
O: EEEHH??
A: What the hell is it, Otsuka? "paio-tsu kaide na, chan-nee mo kiiteru"??
O: Well...
A: Is it true? Are they really listening it?
O: Seems that they are... at the port...
A: At the port...
A: There is that version, and also there are other versions too ne. There are still many versions.
A: Let's say this one...
A: Do you wanna have dinner? Or do you rather take a bath? Or maybe... Arashi・Aiba Masaki no Rekomen! Arashi Remix!
(gohan ni suru? ofuro ni suru? so-re-to-mo... Arashi・Aiba Masaki no Rekomen! Arashi Remix!)
A: So basically all of them are kinda perverted...
O: Hahahaha!!! No, no!
A: So please, wait with anticipation for the next week ne!
O: Hai.
A: That's it!
A: Hai. Opening, let's start with a mail.
O: Hai. This week's opening mail...
A: Hai.
O: From Tottori-ken, Sato-san!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aiba-kun konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: The other day I found this at the CD shop, so I wanna tell you.
A: Hum.
O: It's Aiba-kun's beloved Kinniku-man DVD Box!
A: Oh!
O: I'm really interested in the 418 characters of Kinkeshi, but the price is unbelievably expensive, so it's quite impossible for me to buy it.
(Kinkeshi is a popular line of collectible erasers, a rubber-made figure of various characters)
A: Hum.
O: I wanna hear Aiba-kun's opinion after facing those crazy number of Kinkeshis. And also I wanna ask you to find, within those Kinkeshis, one that makes your tension higher and please explain why. Yoroshiku onegai shimasu.
O: Eeeh... It's not the real one, but Sato-san sent us the DVD box containing lots of Kinkeshis... so take a look.
A: These... It's true that I like Kinniku-man but...
O: Hai.
A: Kinkeshi... What will I do buying all of them now?
O: What's the most amazing here is that all the types of Kinkeshi, the 418 figures, are in the box.
A: This is amazing but... this is indeed amazing!
O: Hai.
A: These... nooo... I think... no way!
O: WHY??
A: No way!!
O: Why?
A: There are 418 figures in a box...
O: So you can play with them, choosing like "today I'll make this one fight with that one"
A: Hey, do you think I can do such thing in my age?
O: Hahahaha!!
A: Like "Brocken Junior versus Warsman!"
A: If I do that everyone will look at me with complete disregard.
O: Well...
A: Won't they show a little bit disregard?
O: Hai.
O: Well, Brocken Jr can take revenge for Brocken-man.
A: But if I start to do such thing now, in my age...
O: Hai.
A: I have an impression that I'm really going to lose friends.
O: Hahaha!!
O: If you keep it secret, it's OK.
A: In secret?
O: Hahahaha!!
A: I don't want to!
O: Hai.
A: But sometimes those anime are released at once as a return version.
O: Hai.
A: Those kind of things usually have its price increased ne.
O: Hai.
A: This is ¥100,000, right?
O: Yes.
A: This is amazing! I once bought something... High School! Kimen-gumi. (this is a manga/anime)
O: Kimen Gumi.
A: A DVD box of it was released.
O: Hai.
A: From the anime. I bought it. It was very interesting/funny! But I always give up in the middle.
A: I stop watching it.
O: Hai.
A: It's also something very interesting to re-watch some mangas that I used to like when I was at elementary school.
O: That's good ne, sometimes.
A: Yes, sometimes.
A: What was your favorite one, when you were at elementary school?
O: Eeeh...
A: So let's start this week's! Arashi! Aiba Masaki's Rekomen Arashi Remix!!!
A: Again... Konbanwa! It's Aiba Masaki from Arashi! This program is broadcasted having Tokyo Hamamatsu's Bunka Housou as the key station.
A: Quickly, I wanna play tonight's first song.
A: Arashi will release it soon. It'll be released on February 20th. So please listen, Arashi's new song. Step and Go by Arashi!
.....Step and Go.....
Anata no mimi ni checkmate!! Arashi・Aiba Masaki no Rekomen! Arashi Remix!
(checkmate to your ear!)
(Omoide Shredder) Memory Shredder
A: Omoide Shredder has the purpose of taking your shameful/embarrassing memories or past memories that you want to forget, and having them shredded by me, Aiba Masaki, using a shredder.
A: It means that today we received many shameful memories ne.
O: Yes, we received a bunch.
A: What's going on, Otsuka? Why are you smirking like that?
O: Hahaha!
A: It's annoying.
O: Hai.
A: What happened? Is your tension getting higher?
O: We could hear the new jingle.
A: Hahahaha!! The new jingle ne.
A: We played it ne.
O: Hai.
A: Well, this is good ne. I'm very happy.
O: Hahaha! I'm happy.
A: What we recorded was played. It makes me very happy.
O: Hai.
A: So quickly, let's shred/cut lots of memories.
O: Hai.
O: So let me start.
A: Hai.
O: From Saitama-ken, 相葉ちゃんのイヤホンになりたい-san! (radio name "Aibachan no earphone ni naritai!" or "I wanna be Aibachan's earphone!")
A: OOOOOHH!!
O: OOOOOHH!
(There is another jingle where Aibachan says "Anata no earphone ni naritai! Arashi・Aiba Masaki no Rekomen! Arashi Remix!"
"I wanna be your earphone! Arashi・Aiba Masaki no Rekomen! Arashi Remix!")
A: Wiiiii!!!
O: Aibachan konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: Aibachan, you announced on Shukudaikun that your aim for this year would be "Ichiniti Ichizen". Are you achieving your aim?
O: Actually when I heard the words "Ichiniti Ichizen", I thought "It's impossible to survive eating only 1 portion per day". And when I told it to my mother she made fun of me saying "What are you saying?". I was really embarrassed.
(Aibachan said in the episode of Shukudaikun aired on Jan7th, that his aim for this year would be 一日一善, which means "1 day, 1 goodness". To do something for the sake of the others, at least once in a day. I'm not sure but I suppose the listener might have mistaken the kanji 膳, which means a portion of the food/dish. So she thought Aibachan would have just 1 meal or 1 portion per day.)
A: Hahaha!!
O: Aibachan, please take this memory to the shredder.
A: Ah, that's embarrassing ne...
O: Yes, embarrassing ne.
A: A portion per day! I can't survive with that!!
O: Hai.
A: What are you saying?? It's not for the sake of gohan/meal yo!
O: Hai.
A: It's for the sake of the world and the people ne.
O: Hai.
A: Well, that's kinda easy to mistake ne.
A: But the only meaning for "ichizen" that I have heard is that sentence with those 4 letters, "Ichiniti Ichizen".
O: Hahaha!
A: The another "ichizen" is for counting things like gohan/meal...
O: Hai.
A: Right? Just those things that I usually hear.
O: That's true.
A: So let's learn about it.
O: Let's learn about it.
A: "gashi gashi!"... We'll take it to the shredder. Let's continue!
O: Let me continue.
O: From Kanagawa-ken, radio name iwa-chan!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibachan konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: I always enjoy listening to your radio every week.
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: From now on the season of the pollen is starting, so please take care.
A: Ah, arigatou gozaimasu.
O: Hahaha!
O: Well! I want you to take my misunderstanding to the shredder.
A: OK! Let's go!
O: We usually hear on news the word "kyou(today) mimei". The word "mimei" (未明) in it means the interval of the day when it's still night, right before the daybreak. But I was misunderstanding it, thinking that its meaning was "the information about when the incident happened is still uncertain".
A: Aaah...
O: Whenever I hear on the news "An incident happened today early in the morning (kyou mimei), at 〇〇." I would understand it as "An incident happened today at 〇〇, but what time it happened is still uncertain." Then I would think "So they don't know when exactly it happened... That's scary..."
O: And also I kept thinking like this until my 20 yrs old. Aibachan, do you have such misunderstanding of words?
A: Aaah... "mimei" from "kyou mimei"... Ah, that's true...
A: "mi" from mirai(未来 - future) and... ashita(明日 - tomorrow)... akiraka(明らか - dawn on)
O: Hai.
A: Haaa... What is the meaning for it in fact?
O: Eh? Actually... Eee...
A: I don't understand it very well... "kyou mimei"...
O: Right... It means "right before the daybreak"...
A: Haaa... I see...
O: Hai.
A: I... Well... although it's not about a shameful memory... the other day I prepared a dish at home.
O: Hai.
A: And I prepared it looking a book.
O: Hai.
A: Then there was written something like "fry until it becomes kitsune-iro".
(kitsune-iro, literally translating, is the colour of a fox. It means to fry until when it is golden in color or until when it has browned... until it becomes "kitsune-iro")
O: Hai.
A: I had no idea of which is exactly "kitsune-iro", until WHEN?
O: Hahaha!! Hai.
A: And also the measure in tablespoon.
O: Hai.
A: Depending on the spoon it'll be different!!
O: Hahaha!! I think so ne.
A: It depends on the spoon that you have at home.
O: Hai.
A: So I took the most proper tablespoon that I have at home.
O: Hai.
A: But I don't understand very well the standard.
O: Huum... I think so ne.
A: It's difficult to know, isn't it?
O: Hai.
A: So what colour is "kitsune-iro"??
O: Hai.
A: We have to fry/bake until when?
O: Maybe it looks like the colour of a cookie...
A: Isn't it difficult?
O: Hai.
A: I exaggerated and end up burning it.
O: Hahaha!
A: For me... "The kitsune (fox) that I know looks like THIS!"
O: Hahahaha!
O: So for you... "My kitsune has a dark colour!"
A: Yes... "My kitsune is concentrated."
O: Hahaha!
A: Hai. Let's continue.
O: Let me continue. From Miyazaki-ken, radio name hyuugana-san!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibachan konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: Please listen my shameful past.
A: Hai.
O: Some time ago I read on the newspaper column, the description of some music program and it was written "Kudo Shizuka selection, Arashi no sugao...". (sugao means the real face/image, just like the way someone is)
O: I was convinced that the "sugao" of Kudo Shizuka-san and Arashi would be featured on it.
A: Hum.
O: So I was waiting, prepared to record it. When the program started, I heard the song "Arashi no Sugao" together with the video of Kudo Shizuka-san.
O: I exclaimed "AH!" and then my husband, who was behind me, said "I bet you must have thought some silly thing again, right?"
O: If you think just a little bit, it is obvious, but I didn't notice that. I just felt really ashamed. So please take this shameful past of mine to the shredder.
(嵐の素顔 - "Arashi no Sugao" is the name of one of the songs of the singer Kudo Shizuka)
A: I see...
A: Well, the program guide... the number of the letters is defined ne.
O: Hai.
A: So they can't write the description with too many details.
O: Hai.
A: Since there are such things... So please take care ne.
O: That's true.
A: Do you have such mistakes, Otsuka?
O: Yes, I have quite a lot. It happens to me to look forward to the program guide.
A: Oh!! For example?
O: Hahaha!
A: For example?
O: Hahaha!!
O: Sorry, I can't remember none now.
A: Fufufu! You really throw comments without thinking ne.
O: Hahahaha!!
A: Isn't it, Otsuka-kun?
O: Hai.
A: You are not thinking, but even so you say "yes, I think so..."
O: No, I think, I think. It's just that I couldn't remember none.
A: Today?
O: Nothing came to my mind.
A: No?
A: Well, we really had various episodes... That's what we had for today?
O: Hai.
A: There are still many things... There is no end for this corner.
O: Hai.
A: But maybe it's already time to hold a meeting to announce a new plan/corner.
O: Yes, hopefully soon.
A: Hopefully soon.
O: Hai.
A: I hope we can start more new corners and together with that, we count on your participation for "Omoide Shredder" too.
A: Eee... So that was... AH! Wait! We didn't shred...
O: That's true.
A: Let's cut.
O: Hai.
A: Please, shred them!
(wiiiiinn...)
A: Bye bye, shameful past! That was the "Memory Shredder"!
A: So now please listen to a song by Arashi. "Kimi no tame ni boku ga iru" with Arashi.
.....Kimi no tame ni boku ga iru.....
A: Yabai! Me ga juuketsu shiteru!
(Oh no! My eyes are red!)
O: Radio desu.
(Don't forget that this is a radio.)
A: Ah, that's true... Arashi・Aiba Masaki no Rekomen! Arashi Remix!
(Oshiete, Aibachan!) Tell us, Aibachan!!
A: I'll answer to the questions I received from the listeners by mails/letters. So they arrived?
O: Today we have a lot.
A: Really?
O: Hai. Let's hurry up.
A: Let's hurry up!
O: One by one!
A: Hai.
O: Eee... From Tokyo, radio name eri-chan!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibachan konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: Aibachan, did you have something that you could never eat during lunch time at school? And do you have something that even now you doesn't like? For me, I can never drink the coffee milk, prepared by dissolving the coffee in milk.
A: Heee... I think it's delicious.
O: It was quite a hit among the students.
A: Among the students?
O: Among the students.
A: Yes, it was a hit among the students.
O: Hai.
A: The "milk-make".
O: Hai.
A: That was delicious.
O: There were various flavours.
A: No...
O: Eh? Like strawberry, coffee...
A: No, there wasn't!
O: There was!
A: Are you serious?
O: Hai.
A: Really?
O: Hai.
A: Eh? For me, there was only coffee.
A: But I think it was only once in a month...
O: That's right.
O: It was like "Today! Yattaa!!"
A: Huum...
A: I really didn't have nothing that I didn't like in the school lunch.
O: Heeeee...
A: What could it be...
A: I don't have!
O: No?
A: No!!
A: I really don't have!
A: Even the "koppe pan" I liked.
(Gekkan Arashi 2008 01.26 - 02.29 featured Sakuraiba trying various types of meal served in school lunch. Here you see Sho-chan holding a koppe pan. Here you can see Sho-chan putting coffee in the milk and drinking it.)
O: Hai.
A: I think my favorite dish was curry.
O: Ah, curry of school lunch is delicious ne.
A: Yes, and it is a little sweet.
O: Hai.
A: What else... stew was also delicious.
A: Hum. I don't have! There is nothing that I don't like!
O: Hahaha!
A: Let's continue.
O: I understood. Let me continue.
A: Hai.
O: Eee... We got it from fumi-chan of Miyazaki-ken!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: KonAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: You may have heard about it because of the recent Miyazaki boom.
A: Hum.
O: Free-range chickens are one of the famous regional products of Miyazaki Prefecture.
A: Hum.
O: Fried chicken and charcoal roasted chicken are very delicious. I think Aibachan, who loves "kara-age", will certainly like.
A: Hum.
O: So now I have a question. What could be the regional product of Chiba? Are there something or any place that Aibachan would recommend, even if it's not present in the guide book?
A: Chiba...
O: Hai.
A: Chiba... Otsuka is also from Chiba ne.
O: Hai.
A: So let's have a "Chiba talk".
O: Hai.
A: Let's tell the lamen restaurant in Chiba where we go more.
O: Hahaha!!
A: Let's tell, we both.
A: Let's go!
O: Hai.
A: Now!
(A: Misozen! / O: Naritake!)
A: Eh? Naritake?
O: Hai.
A: Where is it?
O: There is a train station called Tsudanuma. Going toward the north exit, there is a miso lamen restaurant.
A: Ah, miso?
O: And it's called Naritake.
A: Heee... So this is your favorite one?
O: There are many people in queue.
A: For me, although it doesn't have any queue...
O: Hai.
A: It's called Misozen.
O: Hai.
A: Along the "No.14" line...
O: Hai.
A: Around... Well, going from Tsudanuma to Makuhari by line No.14...
O: Hai.
A: On the right, there is a lamen restaurant called Misozen on the way.
A: It's really delicious.
O: Hahaha! Really?
A: There is no-one in queue.
O: Hai.
A: Then the attendant/owner is taking a rest...
O: Hai.
A: Although it's a place like that, when you go they will say "Welcome!" and start to prepare.
O: Hai.
A: The miso tan-tan men is really delicious.
O: Miso tan-tan men? (men = noodles)
A: Yes.
O: Can I truly take a note?
A: OK.
O: Since I live along the line No.14.
A: Hahaha!! So this is a bingo!
O: Hahaha!!
A: Misozen.
O: Hai.
A: Miso tan-tan of Misozen ne! This is very delicious!
O: Hai. So this is delicious...
A: Maybe it's a taste that you have never tasted before, even in Tokyo.
A: I think it may be the suggetion in Chiba.
O: Hahaha!
A: What else? Makuhari carrots?
O: Makuhari carrot? Is it famous??
A: Isn't it?
A: Peanuts?
O: Peanuts...
A: But peanuts...
O: Hai.
A: I think living in Chiba we doesn't eat it so often.
O: I think so ne.
A: When I was a child.
O: Hai.
A: I think we doesn't eat.
A: What are the best regional products?
A: Something which is cheap in Chiba, a food that is cheap and easy to find in Chiba...
O: I wonder what could it be... If there is, I want to ask people to send us some suggestions.
A: Hahahaha!!
A: Exchanging the roles...
O: Hai.
A: Let's continue.
O: Let me continue.
A: Hai.
O: This one will be the last mail for today.
A: Hai.
O: We got it from haruna-chan of Chiba-ken.
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibakun konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: Talking about 1950, February 20th!
O: Can you guess what is it about?
A: February 20th. AH! The release day of Step and Go!!
O: Hahahaha!! The content of this mail is a little different.
O: 1950, February 20th is the Birthday of Shimura Ken-san!
A: OOH!
O: Are you giving some present for him this year?
A: Of course!
O: Hahaha!
A: Since he is always helping/supporting me. So of course I will.
A: I'm wondering what I'll give him.
O: Since Shimura-san must receive many kinds of presents from many people, it's difficult to choose ne.
A: I'm in doubt... And it's more difficult because he has almost everything.
O: And there are things that he had already received once.
A: Huum... So it would be nice if I give something really surprising.
O: Hai.
A: Something that you would never buy yourself, but quite difficult for someone to give such thing.
A: A living being?
O: Hahaha! A pet?
A: Hahahaha!! But there are already many pets at Shimura-san's home.
O: Hai. And it must be one that wouldn't fight with the others which are already there. Otherwise it'll bring troubles.
A: Haha! That's true. I'm thinking if there isn't something really interesting, but it's so difficult to find...
O: Hai.
A: So now I'm suffering to decide. Last year I gave a case for glasses. He is always wearing glasses, right?
O: Hai.
A: So a case for glasses, a more sophisticated one.
O: Hai.
A: I bought it. Then he was very content. So I'm wondering what to give this year...
A: Eh? Are you not giving me some idea??
O: Hahaha!! Me??
A: Hum.
O: Sure that Aiba-san knows Shimura-san better than me.
A: So what about if Otsuka would give a birthday present for the president of your office? No need to say that of course the president is very rich and must have almost everything.
O: Hai.
A: So what would Otsuka give in such situation?
O: Huum... Maybe LOVE?
O: Hahaha!
A: So we're waiting for your surprising questions! Mail address is arashi@joqr.net or mail box 〒105-8002 文化放送「嵐・相葉雅紀のレコメン!アラシリミックス」!!
A: So now let's retake what we were talking about, Otsuka.
A: What will we play now?
O: Well, it's not Shimura-san's birthday, but since a topic about February 20th appeared...
A: Hai.
O: Let's play the coupling song.
A: Ah, OK. Let's go.
O: So please listen, Fuyu wo dakishimete by Arashi.
.....Fuyu wo dakishimete.....
The address for postcard is 〒105-8002 文化放送「嵐・相葉雅紀のレコメン!アラシリミックス」!!

A: So that was Arashi Aiba Masaki's Rekomen Arashi Remix! Your partner was Aiba Masaki! See you next week!!! Bye bye!!
This is just the ending part of this week's Sho Beat. Just because Sho-chan talked a little bit about the performances of Step and Go. This is very short... ^^
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
FM FUJI SHO BEAT presented by Sakurai Sho from Arashi. How was it?
Upcoming events.
The song you're listening now.
Arashi's new song, 21st single, Step and Go, will be released on February 20th, Wednesday.
The first press limited edition is CD and DVD. This is the video clip and the making.
The making have 40 minutes!!
We're talking for 20 minutes and 20 minutes are the making.
Well, these are included.
The regular edition will have a song called Fuyu wo dakishimete.
Eeeh... And also for TV...
February 18th, Monday, tomorrow, Fuji TV, HEY!HEY!HEY!
February 19th, Tuesday, NHK BS-hi, The Shounen Club Premium. This is the one aired on February 17th at NHK BS2.
The music programs...
The first one... I'll talk about it because it's already over... The first one that we did the shooting was the Music Fighter, the music program from Nihon TV.
It was the first moment.
At each one of the music TV shows, the song have a different measure, the length is different, so there is also a specific measure for the Music Fighter.
Then we had the rehearsal, we did the rehearsal till now, and then finally the first music program.
"Arashi-san onegai shimaaasu!"
Then we started like "tan tan tan... we're gonna step and go!"
We couldn't do ANYTHING right. Hahaha!
This time the division of the singing parts is very detailed.
And also the choreography, we're dancing a little bit.
No-one wasn't able to do it the right way, the dance was all messed up, and also at the Ohno-kun's solo part, Nino and Aiba-chan started to sing...
The staff was speechless...
Then we went like "Sorry, please let us try it one more time..."
The following time we did it correctly.
Also, the Shounen Club Premium, only at this program from BS, we're doing it full size. Since it's the full size, so we were guessing that it might have around 3 minutes and a half...
But then... 4 min! 4 min! 5 min! 4min 50! 4min 45!
Finally we knew the correct number.
4 minutes and 45.
Well, it's long ne.
Then, the first chorus, everybody is singing with a fresh/cool face.
The 2nd chorus, Aiba-kun's sweat was looking like after taking a bath, almost like a "waterfall"...
Then if you watch from the 2nd chorus, he was sweating in a way that you may ask "what the hell happened to this guy?"
So the amount of our movements is quite a lot.
And there... cherry blossom... there was something like a blossom blow, and since Aiba-kun was already sweating a lot it was sticking "petta peta, petta peta" at all his face. When it (the performance) was ending, it was full of flowers (confetti) stuck on his face.
Music TV shows, there were various things...
Please look forward to it.
From April 10th, Arashi's new variety program from TBS, will start.
And also, Yatter-Man, on spring of 2009 I'll be already waiting. So please look forward to it.
On this program we are waiting for your music-themed messages. And on The Select Sho we are waiting for themes / situations to which you would like to have a song related.
The reception for all of them is:

For both, in charge of SHO BEAT.
So this week we're going to end listening to Step and Go, new single which will be released on February 20th, within 3 days.
See you again in front of the radio on next week, Sunday at 6:30 in the afternoon.
Your partner was Sakurai Sho from Arashi. Bye bye!
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
I wanted to post that one because it was really interesting and funny! Well... Sho Beat always is!! But this week Sho-chan talked about many interesting episodes, and told about how he helped Tegoshi-kun to write his rap. Sho-chan is sooo sweet!!!
Words in blue are my observations.
Many thanks to Tess-chan for the audio file ^__^
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
People in front of the radio, konbanwa! Sakurai Sho desu!
Firstly let's check the news / incidents that happened on the date of today in 1982, the year when I was born.
This is from February 11th.
From Asahi Newspaper.
"Fashion, three very distinct styles. In case it's observed by a camera at fixed points."
"In front of Shibuya Koen-dori Parco Main Building (渋谷公園通りパルコ本館), in front of Shinjuku Oh-dori Kinokuniya Bookstore (新宿大通り紀伊国屋書店), in front of Harajuku Omote Sandou Green Fantasia (原宿表参道グリーンファンタジア), those places were chosen as a fixed point for observation."
Those fixed places were observed.
"Then Shibuya is teenager, young."
"young"... I hadn't listened that word for a while... "young"... Haha...
"Shinjuku is adult. Harajuku is junior type, for junior high and high scool students.
Observing every month, with a camera, the fashion of the women walking on the street, since 3 years ago, the data of the Parco managed to distinguish the subtle difference between 3 towns that are considered one town for the youth."
Of course, nowadays the fashion in Shibuya / Shinjuku / Harajuku, still must be kinda different in each place.
The other day... when was that? Maybe Sunday?
I went to Harajuku after a long time.
Even though it was on Sunday, there was a LOT of people.
It was looking like a festival, I was astonished by the great number of people.
Hai.
So now I would like to introduce one mail.
From radio name eriko-san.
Sho-kun konbanwa.
Konbanwa.
Thank you so much for always talking about interesting things.
Arigatou gozaimasu.
By the way, the new song Step and Go, the other day I could listen it at FM radio. It's a very lilting song, having a fresh style, and it's very pleasant to listen.
Arigatou gozaimasu.
On spring, seems that it'll encourage many people who are aiming for a new start. Also for my daughter, who graduated high school this year and managed her dreamed entrance to the College of Pharmacy, that song takes off her worries/insecurity about the future. She is very happy saying that it matches perfectly when walking through the row of cherry blossom trees on her way to school.
Also, the rap. Words like petals, buds, bud, courage. The sound of harmonica playing at the background is very well overlapped. My heart beat faster with the flow which makes me feel the breathe of the life. I would like to hear more about Sho-kun's thoughts/wills, together with the high speed rap part. I'm looking forward to it.
Well, this time, we received the song, and then I saw the lyrics, and then... well... there was a big and evident theme about something like... graduation, new beginning...
But I was told to write a rap that could be positive, like a kind of cheering song.
And I thought "What should I do now..."
What I mean is that... There is a song called "Still...", included as a coupling of Happiness. And with that song, I already wrote everything that I had.
Then I was thinking... "new beginning... I don't have nothing to say about it anymore! What shall I do now..."
But when the first line of the rap came out, that part of "Hanabira mai chiri yuku koro", then I could write everything at once. That's it.
So that part, refering to the first line, was the marked part.
Well, since it hasn't been released yet, I think it wasn't possible at all to see the lyrics card, so after it has released, I think I would like to talk about the rap with more details.
This time there was an interesting thing during choreography.
This time we did a "choreography competition".
Well, it was like an experience, we were talking that we wanted to do some funny things this time, or like, "let's change the image of the movements from the one until now".
We asked the dancers to make a choreography, and then each one took a video of that. Then we would decide after watching each choreography.
Fufu... But well... I thought "We became so important..." Hahahaha!
Well, we did such thing because we wanted to try something new.
And someone!
When we thought "Ah! That choreography is interesting!"
And we decided to ask that person.
But then... I heard that this person knew me.
And that this person is a kouhai from elementary school, 2 years younger than me.
But I didn't realize who was, even after seeing the name.
However it was sure that this person knew me.
So I asked for a search to another kouhai, 2 years younger than me.
Who who who who? I... know that person?
Then I was told that I should know because he used to play with Sho-san at brass band. Then it turned like... I'll probably know when I see him.
And when we were having a meeting about "Utaban", with all the 5 members and the staff, that choreography teacher came in...
"Aaaaahh... so it was you!" Hahahaha!!
"Aaaaahh... so it was you!"...
I DID know him, though I didn't recognize by his name.
The members and the staff didn't understand anything.
They were asking "EH?? Do you know each other??"
So we met each other after a long time. I hadn't seen him since we were at high school.
Well, such useless to praise a kouhai, but he really did a very nice choreography.
The movements of the 5 members are very interesting, so please wait with anticipation for the music programs.
The talk became too long...
But well, it'll be released on February 20th, 21st new single, Step and Go by Arashi.
.....Step and Go.....
Release on February 20th, Arashi new single, Step and Go.
COOL BEAT SELECTION
FM FUJI SHO BEAT presented by Sakurai Sho from Arashi. From here, Cool Beat Selection.
On this corner we'll pick up musics send by streat / club / shop.
This week we have "club version".
The artist we picked up is DJ ZIN who plays mainly at the clubs of Tokyo.
I would like to ask ZIN-san, directly by phone, the latest club sound.
ZIN-san!
DJ ZIN: Doumo. I am DJ ZIN.
Doumo! Yoroshiku onegai shimaaasu!
DJ ZIN: Yoroshiku onegai shimasu!
What will you introduce today?
DJ ZIN: The song that I'll introduce today is "Get your hit together", TI feat. Lil'Kim.
Huuum... What kind of artist?
DJ ZIN: Nowadays TI is getting recognition and became almost the center of the black music world, and seems that this year he'll continue to surprising us.
This time he did a collaboration with Lil'Kim, aka Queen Bee, also the producer is Lil Jon, so it'll certainly hit well sellings.
Heee... Lil'Kim... is having releases recently?
DJ ZIN: Oh well, little by little... after this year has begun, she is releasing.
Heee... Really? And what is the key point for listening it?
DJ ZIN: Well, as a key point, viewing the club music world of now, it's done in a very straightforward way. Also the interaction between TI and Lil'Kim, the perfect rap, and the track of Lil Jon are matching perfectly.
Huum... I'm waiting with anticipation.
DJ ZIN: Eeeh... It'll certainly be a long hit at the clubs.
Heee... So ZIN-san, please, introduce the song.
DJ ZIN: So please listen. Get your hit together by TI feat. Lil'Kim.
Arigatou gozaimashita!
.....Get your hit together.....
Get your hit together by TI feat. Lil'Kim.
That was the Cool Beat Selection.
LISTENERS' BEAT
From here, the Listeners' Beat.
So I'll introduce mainly the messages related to music, received from the listeners.
Firstly, from radio name ban-pan-san.
Sho-kun konbanwa.
Konbanwa.
I always enjoy listening every week.
The other day I was watching Countdown TV. Then the 22nd position at the ranking of the week, was PIKA☆☆NCHI DOUBLE. And Nice na Kokoroiki ranked in at 21st.
I'm very happy that they ranked in, but it made me wonder why at this period, and why PIKA☆☆NCHI DOUBLE and Nice na Kokoroiki... I thought it was strange. Was there something related to those 2 CDs? Please tell me.
I asked about it just now... What was that? 12cm?
CD of 8cm, well, the small version CD was re-released as a 12cm CD.
But then they ranked in, right!?
This is amazing!
If they ranked in, I suggested to re-release everything in this size. But then J-storm -san told me that "All of them are already done."
Talking about PIKA☆☆NCHI DOUBLE... Talking about PIKA☆NCHI, there is a memory...
PIKA☆NCHI was a film ne... of Arashi.
"Seishun wa PIKAICHI, dakedo HARENCHI".
So abbreviating that, PIKANCHI. Just putting those words together.
(There is a phrase that says "Youth is PIKAICHI, but also HARENCHI"
PIKAICHI means the most clever thing/person.
HARENCHI means... how can I say... a shameless thing/person... take it as "H thoughts".)
There was a coverage of magazine where they featured 10 harenchi questions related to Arashi.
Then we answered those harenchi questions with our sincerity, I repeat, with sincerity. We were asked about, so we answered honestly.
Eeeh... Then after the paper was done, our boss got REALLY angry with us.
Hahahaha...
We were told to have more conscience about TPO (time, place, occasion/opportunity)
Of course that's right ne...
But we just answered the questions seriously/honestly...
I couldn't imagine that they would be so angry with us...
Well, let me continue, from radio name mai-san.
Sho-kun konbanwa.
Konbanwa.
I saw the Able CM. I'll take the University entrance exams next year. I'll do my best to be able to say that I passed.
Huuum... Ganbatte kudasai!
Is there any "side story" during the filming of this CM?
This time, there is a version of passing the University entrance exam, and also... Eeeh... an appointment version. Eh? Well, it can be taken in different ways...
Eeeh... There are two meanings, the achievement of an appointment, and also the moving for a worker, when that person managed to move to the aimed place.
When I say "I passed!!" that makes me in doubt.
Well, I... am 26 years old. But if I'm saying "I passed!!" so this is a role of a 17, 18 years old teenager.
That one, for me, who palyed the role of a high school student on "Yamada Taro Monogatari", it made me wonder about doing such thing.
But the president of Able was there and he is very young. I think he is 40 years old.
A very cool person.
And that president is a huge fan of "Kisarazu Cat's Eye".
"I was watching Bambi!! I really like it! Bambi!"
Then I thought "WHY they didn't ask me at THAT time?"... Hahahaha!!
The time had passed already. I'm already old...
So if only they asked me to do it when I was Bambi, then I think I wouldn't have nothing to complain...
But well, I'm really grateful for letting me do it.
Next, from pen name airinman-san.
Sho-kun konbanwa.
Konbanwa.
I'm sending this message because I would like to hear your opinions/thoughts.
I heard that the other day you went with Nino-chan to the Dome concert of NEWS.
Seems that you also participated in the concert, riding a moving cart.
Fufufu...
How is to participate in a concert of another group?
Is it true that you helped Tegoshi-kun to write his rap part, in the song that introduces the NEWS members?
That's it...
Yes!
It was some time ago, think it was on January 10th.
Since NEWS were doing a Dome concert for the first time, I went there.
Why I thought to go was because... well, the first time in Dome... maybe it's because we did the same recently, so I wanted to watch it.
That's one of the reasons, and also, during the World Cup Volleyball, Tegoshi-kun of NEWS came... and after that we went to eat dinner.
Then we get along... started to send mails and such.
Then I got a message from Tegoshi-kun, saying "Sho-kun, how do you write a rap?"
Then I replied explaining and telling the procedures of how I write a rap. And told him that if he was willing to write one, and if it doesn't bother him, I could give some advices.
They have a rap to introduce the members in the concert, so he was writing it, and... huum... asked me if I could help him.
Then I asked when they were doing the recording and I heard that they were doing the recording these days.
That recording studio... I'm going there. Then I went to the recording studio.
He was trying to write the introducing rap of Yamashita-kun. It was so funny.
Since I don't know much about Yamashita-kun... firstly, "So Tegoshi-kun, what kind of person is Yamashita-kun?"
"Oh well... I think he is "my pace"..." (someone who has his own opinion and likes to do what he wants to do and doesn't care much about what the others will think about that.)
"Hai. My pace..."
"Also he'll be in a film called Kurosagi"
"So it'll include the word Kurosagi. Hai. Hai. Hai."
"What kind of story is Kurosagi?"
We started like this and took some words from here and there. Then I recorded a sample rap and Tegoshi-kun was writing while listening to that sample.
So it was my first time, writing a rap for another person, it was really difficult, but I had fun.
Hahaha! I was feeling like some writer.
It was interesting!
And also, the NEWS concert, concert goods, T-shirt, and I was also holding the pen-light...
I really enjoyed a lot.
I had lots of fun, of course.
There are many nice songs ne, NEWS.
It was a very nice concert.
I was doing whatever I wanted there...
They were filming on that day, so if it turns to be a DVD, probably I would appear on it, so I'm wondering about it.
I also went to the Hey!Say!JUMP one too.
It's looking like a "storm" of concerts of kouhai.
I wonder who is the next to have a concert.
Next time, I would like to go to the concert as well.
So on this program we're waiting for music related messages from everyone.

Rekomen 2008.02.08
Words in blue are my observations.
Many thanks to Tess-chan for the audio file ^__^
Aiba-chan: Konbanwa! Arashi no Aiba Masaki desu!!
Did we receive a mail?
Otsuka-kun: Hai. We have a mail so I would like to introduce it at the opening.
A: Hai!
O: From Gifu-ken, radio name parasoru-san!
A: Arigatou gozaimaasu!
O: Aibachan, Otsuka-kun, konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: I always enjoy listening to your radio every week.
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: I'm at the 3rd year of junior high now and I'm preparing myself for the high school entrance exams on this February.
A: Oh!
O: Everybody in this season is feeling insecure because we're not sure if we'll pass the exams.
A: Hum.
O: My best friend is also really worried about deciding the course so I would like to help my friend to think positively.
A: Hum.
O: For this, I thought the songs of Arashi would be the best.
A: Hum.
O: Aibachan, please play a song to encourage my friend and also all the students who are going to take exams as well. Onegai shimasu!
A: Oh well.
O: Yes, for the examinees, now it's the time ne.
A: That's true. Now it's the most hard time/period for them ne.
A: What could it be? At the time when you were taking exams what did you most like to listen?
A: A song.
O: Haha... It was a very long time ago...
A: Hahaha!
O: so I can't remember...
A: Did you take the exams regularly?
O: Supposedly...
A: Are you graduated on what? Graduated on elementary school?
O: Fufu...
A: Otsuka-kun?
O: Well, think I have only a knowledge that looks like an elementary school graduated... but I have a dark past of being a rounin...
(rounin is a student who has graduated from junior high or high school but has failed to enter a school at the next level, and consequently is studying outside of the school system for entrance in a future year.)
A: Hahaha!!
O: Hahaha!!
A: So you did your best...
O: Hai.
A: You worked hard on that period to enter the University, right?
O: Hai.
A: So for how many years were you a rounin?
O: Well... one year.
A: One year!
O: Hai.
A: There are people who succeed after 1 year and people who don't.
O: That's true.
A: Well, in your case, since it was for 1 year, so that's still good.
A: That 1 year... when you're a rounin... do you really study hard?
O: I think it depends from person to person...
A: In your case, Otsuka...
O: I used to stay in front of the convenience store.
A: Aaah... THE rounin life...
O: Hahaha!! Hai.
A: Like "They might be rounin students..."
O: There was a studying room.
A: Hai.
O: I used to leave my school bag there to save my seat so I could relax.
A: Fufufu... Hahaha... Are you supposedly a father at an undoukai?? (Sports days)
O: Hahaha!!!
A: Like "at the most important part... you're not looking at me..."
O: Hahaha!!!
A: "you're not watching me running..."
O: Hai.
A: Was it like that? Oh well... Heee...
A: So I would like to ask you to go back to that period...
O: Hai.
A: and think about what was the song you used to listen. Then let's play that song at the first moments today.
A: At the opening of this program.
O: At the opening...
A: Yes.
A: Let's play.
A: Well, if we choose within the songs of Arashi... there is for example "Sakura Sake"...
O: Hai.
A: There are various songs.
A: An encouraging song by Arashi.
O: Hahahaha!! Hai.
A: Did you understand that? So think about it.
A: I'll do the title call from now... So while I do it, you think about that.
A: So let's start this week's Arashi! Aiba Masaki's Rekomen Arashi Remix!
A: Again... Konbanwa! It's Aiba Masaki from Arashi! This program is broadcasted having Tokyo Hamamatsu's Bunka Housou as the key station.
A: Firstly, a song that the examinees would most like to listen... a song that can express our wishes to encourage them... let's choose one within the songs of Arashi...
O: Hai.
A: A nice song!
O: Hai.
A: So this is tonight's first song.
O: So please listen, weeeek by NEWS!
A: Hahaha... It was supposed to be a song of Arashi, wasn't it?
.....weeeek.....
A-1 GP Strongest Competition
A: The "strongest" thing though it wouldn't be able to go to the Guinness Book. This is a corner where you can boast about something familiar to you that you think it can be the strongest/largest/biggest/amazing.
A: So I would like to introduce this week's "strongest" informations from everybody. Did we receive the "strongest" informations?
O: Hai. We received the number 1 criticisms.
A: Oooh!
O: So I would like to introduce them.
A: Let's go, let's go!
O: Hai.
A: Let's go with high tension!
O: Firstly, we got it from Hiroshima-ken, tomoko-chan!
A: Hai! Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibachan konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: I always watch "Mezamashi TV" early at every morning, since I was at the 2nd year of elementary school.
A: Oh!
O: And I write everyday in table, the ranking shown on the "Kyou no Uranai Countdown!" corner.
(今日の占いカウントダウン! - "Divination Countdown of the day!" is a divination corner (fortune-teller/horoscope) on Mezamashi TV. This is a famous corner where they foretell the fortune based on the sign zodiac and list a ranking in form of a countdown, from the most lucky sign to the less fortunated sign.)
A: This is amazing!
O: The program started on spring of 1994.
A: Hum.
O: I started to write the horoscope results in a table, on 1995, February 28th. I already forgot what motivated me to start to write it, but I keep writing it till now. Soon it will complete full 13 years.
A: Sugoi!!!
O: And another thing...
A: Oh...
O: She sent that table. The ranking of all the sign zodiac and the dates.
A: That's true!! January 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th... in a... what's that... in a table.
O: Hai.
A: Ah! The signs zodiac... Capricorn...
O: Hai.
A: Virgo...
A: Haaa... Libra.....
A: Oh well...
O: This is amazing. There are many files here. (...browsing the files...)
A: That's true...
O: Done in tables.
A: Yes, that's true...
O: According to the month.
A: This is indeed amazing!
(...browsing the files...)
A: Heee... The fortune-teller probably doesn't think someone is doing such thing ne.
O: Hai. It may frighten them.
A: Hahaha! No, no... I don't think so.
O: If they're listening now.
A: Uwa! But this is indeed amazing!
O: Hai.
A: Eh? This is from Mezamashi, right?
O: Seems to be... Hai.
A: From Mezamashi TV.
A: Hooo... Sugoi!! This is "strongest"!!
O: Well, well... we don't know.
A: So what will we gift her?
O: Fufu... Eh?
A: Pencil?
O: Pencil?
A: Because...
O: All right.
A: Because she has written it during 13 years...
O: Hai.
A: She showed us that she has done such amazing thing.
O: Hahaha!!
A: We can't end up here, only saying "sugoi yo!"... So Otsuka-kun, you'll give her, using your own money, a dozen pencil.
A: To encourage her to still continue this for a long long time.
O: OK. I understood. I hope she continues for more 7 years or even more.
A: I agree.
O: To hit the 20 years.
A: That's true!
O: Hai.
A: Then we'll gift a dozen pencil!!
A: Hahaha!!!
O: Congratulations!
A: Let's continue!
O: Hai. Let me continue. We received it from Osaka, akane-san!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibachan konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: I always look forward to listening Rekomen every week.
A: Hum.
O: At my junior high school, cleaning time is very strict. So in each place that is being cleaned, we have a teacher observing us.
A: Hum.
O: I'm in charge of cleaning the toilet since September. Eeeh... Without any reason I started to stack the toilet paper/roll on the corner of the bathroom everyday, when the teacher is not looking at me.
A: Hum.
O: Then... Now there are already 40 toilet-rolls and it's looking like a pyramid.
A: Hum.
O: Seems that the teacher didn't notice that yet. Eeeh... I'll send a picture so please take a look.
O: Here it is!
A: Uwaa!! Sugoi!!!
O: I wonder why it hadn't being found out yet. It's really looking like a pyramid ne. Covering almost the entire surface of the wall.
A: This is the toilet at the school, right?
O: Hai.
A: This is indeed amazing ne.
O: How many... It's true that there are 40, right?
A: I suppose there are.
O: Hai.
A: And also what is that "Don't mix! Dangerous!"
O: Hahahaha!!!
O: That's true.
A: What was that... This is also standing together next to it.
A: This is the lady's toilet, right?
O: I think so. Well, it might be, only if akane-chan is in charge of cleaning the lady's toilet.
A: I agree... This is amazing!!
A: This is indeed the "strongest"!
O: Hai.
A: Haaaaa... I'm amazed at how it hadn't being found out yet. But I think the teacher probably doesn't enter the toilet.
O: Maybe the teacher is male.
A: Or maybe this is a toilet for the employees.
O: Huum...
A: Because the teachers don't use the same toilet as the students.
O: That's true. But I think the teacher would come to check out if the students are really cleaning up. Don't they come?
A: Do they come??
O: Don't know...
A: Yes, we don't know...
O: Hai.
A: I think she has being able to do it because the teacher doesn't come.
O: Sure.
A: Amazing...
A: Let's continue.
O: Let me continue. We got it from Renmaku, yuka-chan!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibachan konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: I always enjoy listening.
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: In one of the broadcasts there was someone who posted a pass of ¥140,000 spent in half a year.
A: Yes, there was.
O: Yes, there was.
A: There was.
O: I found someone above it.
A: Oh.
O: That is my kouhai. She takes 2 hours and a half to...
O: Hannou... this is at Saitama-ken, right? (Hannō-shi is a city located in Saitama-ken)
A: Yes yes.
O: ...to commutes from Hannou of Saitama-ken to Shinjuku everyday.
A: Hum.
O: She let me see her pass and in 3 months, she spends ¥19,640 for subway, plus ¥61,380 for JR and "shitetsu", plus ¥33,350 for bus.
(JR - Japan Railway / shitetsu - railway line owned and operated by private sector)
A: Hahahaha!!!
O: Total of ¥114,370. I searched it for an interval of 6 months and the result was ¥210,000.
O: The evidence pictures are attached.
A: Oh!
O: All the passes are here.
A: Uwaaa... That... So she must carry 3 passes with her, always.
O: Think so ne. She can't put them together, probably... the bus for example...
A: Student?
A: Since she wrote "tsuukin"... so it's for work?
O: Think so ne...
A: This is not "tsuugaku" ne...
O: That's right. It's "tsuukin".
A: It's "tsuukin" ne.
O: Hai.
("tsuukin" and "tsuugaku", the meaning for both of them is "commuting". However, "tsuukin" is written as 通勤 and it's used for people who travels between a place of residence and a place of work. "tsuugaku" is written as 通学 and this is used to refer to students.)
A: Sugoi!!!
A: Maybe it would be better for her to move to a place near Shinjuku...
O: I think so ne... For 1 month... if it's ¥115,000 for 3 months, almost ¥5,000... so it would be possible to save more than ¥30,000 in a month.
A: Would save...
O: Hai.
A: But it's impossible to live with ¥30,000.
O: Well, in Shinjuku it wouldn't be possible to live.
A: That's true. Aaah... well... for a cute/defenceless girl to live alone...
O: That's true...
A: Of course... If we say that it's dangerous... well, it's dangerous ne... this world...
O: Huum...
A: And also there are so many depressing news.
O: Hai.
A: So... we shouldn't say such things categorically.
O: I agree...
A: I suggest them to have a family meeting...
O: Hahaha! Hai.
A: To take the right decision... But that was indeed the "strongest"!
O: It is the "strongest" ne!
A: The "strongest"... is still going on ne!
O: Hai.
A: Let's continue.
O: Eeeh... Next is from Tokyo, radio name ban-mai-san!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibachan konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: I'm at the 2nd year of junior high.
A: Hum.
O: The school anthem of the elementary school where I studied is really amazing!
A: Hum.
O: Recently we're receiving lots of school anthem.
A: Yes, that's right.
O: Although that school anthem has a duration of only 2 or 3 minutes...
A: Hum.
O: the word "nakayoku"(get along) appears 16 times in it!
A: OH!
O: Isn't it the "strongest"?
A: Sugoi!
O: I took the lyrics part from my graduation album, so please take a look.
O: Eeeh... Here we received the school anthem.
A: Are there many "nakayoku"??
O: I underlined the words "nakayoku"...
A: UWA! That's true!
A: School anthem! Let me start!
O: Hai.
A: "Tomodachi to nakayoku shitai" (I wanna get along with my friends).
A: "Sensei to nakayoku shitai" (I wanna get along with the teachers).
A: "Gakkou to nakayoku shitai" (I wanna get along with the school).
A: "nakayoku shitai" (I wanna get along)...
O: Clock tower, tiles on the temple, hoozuki, position of the Morning Glory... Eeeh... the wind that crosses this town... I wanna get along.
A: Hahaha!!!
O: Hahaha!
A: So it ends here ne.
A: Here it continues. "nakayoku dekirukana"(I wonder if I'll manage to get along)... "nakayoku dekirutomo"(sure that we can get along)... "nakayoku dekirukana"... "nakayoku dekirutomo"...
O: Hahahahaha!!
A: "nakayoku dekirukana"! "nakayoku dekirutomo"!
O: Hahahahaha!!
O: Kids of Japan, nakayoku shitai! Kids of the world/planet, nakayoku shitai! Kids of the Universe, nakayoku shitai! Nakayoku shitai!
A: Sugoi!
O: This is amazing ne...
A: The title for that one MUST be "Nakayoku shitai" ne... that school anthem.
O: Hai.
A: This is amazing!!
O: Those lyrics... I suppose it doesn't mean that the writer was stuck ne.
A: No, it's not, it's not! And also, it doesn't mean that the writer was having some personal troubles.
O: Hahaha!!!
A: It means nothing else than that they really want to get along.
O: Hai.
A: Those lyrics are repeating a scream of what they really wanted to express.
O: That's right.
A: Hum. But this is good! This is "strongest"!
O: This is the "strongest"!
A: The best friends.
O: Hai.
A: Hai.
A: So everybody please, if you have something that you think "Isn't it the "strongest"??", then send it to us!
A: No more! That was the A-1 GP Strongest Competition!
A: So now let's listen to a song by Arashi. Sakura Sake by Arashi!
.....Sakura Sake.....
(Oshiete, Aibachan!) Tell us, Aibachan!!
A: I'll answer to the questions I received from the listeners by mails/letters. Did we receive something this week?
O: Hai. This week we received a bunch as always! This is really thankful!
A: OK! So I'll tell you!
O: Hai.
O: Eeeh... So this is the first mail.
A: Hai.
O: We received it from Aichi-ken, radio name aaka-chan!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: KonAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: I always enjoy listening. The other day my teacher of the school taught me an interesting thing, so please listen it.
A: Hum.
O: It's something about the hair. I heard that for human, we're most likely to have a similar type of hair to someone from 2 generations previous than us. For example, for male is his grandfather, and for female is her grandmother.
A: Hum hum hum...
O: I am very relieved because, for my happiness, my grandmother still has her hair. So now I have a question.
A: Hum.
O: Aibachan, what about your future hair? Do you think that you'll have it? I'm sorry for asking an embarrassing question.
A: Yes, what an embarrassing question...
O: Hahaha! Hai.
A: My family is really "Thoroughbred".
O: Huh? Which one?
A: Eh?
O: Which one is Thoroughbred?
A: Both. My grandpa... my grandpa from mother, also my grandpa from father... completely bald.
O: Hahaha!!
A: Hahaha!! This is a genuine Thoroughbred.
O: Completely bald?
A: Well, not completely...
O: Hai.
A: But my father's side, is almost bald.
A: My grandpa from my mother's side, though he already has gone, his hair was rising just like "Bejiita". (character from Dragon Ball)
O: I see...
A: From the forehead.
O: From the both sides?
A: Increasing from the both sides is the maternal type. Then the paternal type... is completely bald.
O: Hahaha! Thoroughbred ne...
A: Yes, Thoroughbred. No matter which side I'll look like, it'll be Thoroughbred.
O: Hai.
A: What about Otsuka-kun?
O: Only my father would be a reference...
A: Hai.
O: My father is the type that is getting gray-haired.
A: Aaah...
O: But... However! My grandfather from mother...
A: Hum.
O: Well, he is completely bald.
A: Hahaha!!! Bald...
O: Hai.
A: Oh well... This is hard ne. Which one will we become...
O: Hai.
A: Does it mean that we're gonna look like one of them?
O: Think so ne.
A: Like our mother's side...
O: Hai.
A: or like our father's side...
O: Hai.
A: Well, for me, it doesn't matter which one it will be. Both are the same. Both are completely bald.
A: Let's continue! Hahaha!!
O: Hahaha!! Let me continue.
A: Why do they make such depressing questions?
O: Hahahaha!!
A: Why, Otsuka?
O: Well, our work is to answer the listener's desire.
A: All right.
O: Hai.
A: Let's go.
O: Let me continue. We received it from Aichi-ken, radio name hayaku-natsu-ni-nare-san! (radio name "summer, come soon!")
A: Oooh! This is good!
O: Aibachan konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: Recently is getting terribly cold, today these days.
A: Hum.
O: At my home we're making a little effort willing to at least minimize the coldness after taking bath, putting some "nyuuyokuzai" in the bathtub.
(nyuuyokuzai is a kind of aromatic substance, it can be liquid or in form of powder, to put in the bathtub and make the bathe look like an onsen)
A: Hum.
O: Aibachan, do you have some strategy when taking bath during winter season?
A: Aaah... Because the bathroom is very cold ne...
O: Yes, it's cold.
A: For me... I try not to tread on the tile... well, I mean not the tile, I try not to tread on the floor.
O: EH? Treading on the tips of the fingers?
A: No no no... Like this...
O: Haha...
A: I go straight.
O: To the bathtub.
A: I stretch my leg as far as I can to reach the bathtub-side...
O: Hahahaha!!
A: And since there is a mirror in front, and I must open my legs...
O: Hai.
A: "that part" (you know where ¬¬) also gets exposed.
O: Hai.
A: I go straight stretching my leg as far as I can and then stand on the corner of the bathtub.
O: Aaah... Without ever touching the floor.
A: Yes, at least until I turn on the shower.
A: Because it's cold.
O: That's right.
A: For me, it's like this.
A: Sometimes when I go with too much power I fall straight into the bathtub, but then it's very hot!
O: Fufufu...
A: Because at my home we set it for 47 degrees.
O: Eeeh? Really?
A: Really.
O: How can you enter??
A: Yeah... But I like when it's hot. Even though I say 47 degrees...
O: However?
A: I think it's 45 or 44 degrees.
O: Hai.
A: Setting it as high as possible.
O: And do you take a long bath? At 47 degrees?
A: Yes, long time.
A: Since I start brushing the teeth.
O: Aaah... I see...
A: When I enter the bathtub I start to brush my teeth. Then I spend 15 minutes to do it.
O: All right.
A: I sweat a lot.
O: Heee...
A: And when I'm feeling like this I also read some manga.
O: Hahahaha!!
A: I do it. In the bathtub.
O: At 47 degrees...
O: With wrinkled hands...
A: Hahaha!!! My hands become wrinkled...
O: Hahaha!!!
A: My hands and also the hair too.
O: Seems very different from the situation if it was a cold water.
A: Yes, just the steam is sufficient to mess up.
O: Hai.
A: So it's like this. Let's continue.
O: Let me continue. It'll be the last one for today.
A: Hai.
O: Eee... the mail.
O: We got it from Nagano-ken, eri-chan!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibachan konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: The other day I took a really bad mark in an exam.
A: Hum.
O: I don't know what I should say to show that to my parents. In such situation, Aibachan, what you used to say to show the marks? Please tell me.
A: I wonder how much was her grade.
O: Depends on it too ne.
A: Huum... So within 100 points... What would be the worst mark, for you, Otsuka-kun?
O: I... when I was at high scool... at math, well, there was a subject called "Math I"...
A: Hum.
O: My mark was 3 points within 100.
A: 3 points?
O: At a weekly test.
A: Doesn't it mean that if you write at least your name you get 3 points?
O: No no no! I hit 1 question with my own effort.
A: Hahaha! Did you hit 1 question?
O: Hai.
A: Heeeee... I never got a mark of 3 points.
A: Maybe 50...
O: Hai.
A: Then it isn't so bad.
O: If it is 50... maybe you can just say that the average mark of the class was low.
A: That's true! I also used to say such excuse.
O: Then our parents wouldn't be so angry.
A: Saying things like "Oh well... Seems that everybody got very low marks, but I think mine wasn't so bad..."
A: Then my mom would understand and agree like "So this problem might be very difficult to solve..."
A: Such an illusion.
O: Hai.
A: But it's not like this ne. Even though the average grade was 60 or 70 I used to say such excuse for my 40 points mark.
O: Huum...
A: There is no other way.
O: Hahaha!
A: Or!! Don't show the test!!
O: That's new.
A: Isn't it new?
A: To make believe, like "Did I take any exam?"
O: Hahaha!!
A: "Did I???"
A: "Think I didn't take any exams..."
A: But lie isn't a good thing.
O: Like "I didn't do that ...(sorry, I can't understand what word he said...)..."
A: Hahaha!! Such semester doesn't exist!
A: Well, lying is not a good thing, so it would be better to show... but this is hard ne.
A: Then it's better to wait and see a good timing when your mom is good-humoured.
A: Telling that you'll do your best on the next time.
O: That's true.
A: Hum.
A: Starting by a "hi!"
O: Hai.
A: Saying "Hi!"...
A: Let's do it. So we're waiting for your "unceremonious" questions! Mail address is arashi@joqr.net or mail box 〒105-8002 文化放送「嵐・相葉雅紀のレコメン!アラシリミックス」!!

A: It's getting warm/cool.
O: Hai.
A: Well, although it's still very cold...
O: Hai.
A: How are your feelings, Otsuka-kun? These days...
O: Hahaha! Recently?
A: Hum.
A: Seems that it's going very well, right? Why are you smirking?
O: No, I'm not!!
A: I heard a rumour that...
O: No, wait wait! Please, stop!
A: Hahahaha!

I probably won't be able to translate Sho Beat regularly. That one is specially for Aivana-chan ^___^ Words in blue are my observations.
Many thanks to Tess-chan for the audio file ^__^
People in front of the radio, konbanwa! Sakurai Sho desu!
Firstly let's check the news / incidents that happened on the date of today in 1982, the year when I was born.
This is an excerpt from Asahi Newspaper.
"Hydrogen bike ran.
Sumitomo Metal Industrial which aims to enter the chemical sector, converted used/second-hand motorcycle, and had recently succeeded in letting them run using hydrogen as a fuel.
Although it carried a tiny engine of only 55CC, the combined power of the Group made it possible to develop a new technology."
This is amazing.
"The road for the effective use of hydrogen had its entrance open. Since the hydrogen is safe and clean there is also an aim to inform that it can also lead to the prevention of exhaust pollution."
That's what is informed.
"The only drawback is that the performance is slightly disappointing.
The maximum speed is 30km/h."
Fufufufu!
"The distance covered at once is 3km.
It's still impossible to be used in practice."
That's what is informed. I wonder what was the result after all. Did the hydrogen bike run? What happened after that is not published on this newspaper now. Well, we can notice that since this age there was already a concern about the environment ne.
Well... I turned 26 years old in January 25th.
Oh well... I always think that... As I was born in January, my birthday is already in the beginning of the year.
Because of that... I always say to everybody around me that I am 26 years old, even when I am still 25.
Then, just now the manager said "Sakurai-san, Sakurai-san turned 27, right?".
Hahaha...
"EH? Sakurai-san is 26? EH? You're 1 year older than Aiba-san ne? EH? EH?".
The manager was in panic saying things like that.
OK! From now on I think I'll say my correct age!
Again, now I am 26 years old.
I received a bunch of mail, postcard, etc. Thank you so much!
Well, this week I want to play that song again.
Arashi, release on February 20th, 21st new single, Step and Go!
.....Step and Go.....
Release on February 20th, that was Arashi's new single, Step and Go!
COOL BEAT SELECTION
FM FUJI SHO BEAT presented by Sakurai Sho from Arashi. From here, Cool Beat Selection.
On this corner we'll pick up musics send by streat / club / shop.
This week we have "shop version".
The shop we picked up is Dance Music Record Shibuya Store.
To continue from the past week, we asked the latest release recommended by Suzuki-san who is in charge of house music.
So please, your comment and the song!
Suzuki-san: I am Suzuki Masahiro of "House Buyers" from Dance Music Record Shibuya Store.
Doumo!
Suzuki-san: What I'll introduce this time is "Check the flow" of Groove Man.
What I'll introduce this time is a little bit different from the ones untill now.
This is a music that sounds like techno. This style is called "tech-disco". A recent example for this is the theme song of Kojima Yoshio-san which is actually a "tech-disco" from Germany.
What I'll introduce this time is one of the releases of a Japanese techno label called Carizma.
The artist Groove Man had also being picked up on Ishino Takkyuu-san's chart and this artist is attracting a lot of attention.
This time it became a very "upper" song. Specially the second song, the one called "Tech Noise", is very "upper" and sounds like the theme song of Kojima Yoshio-san which I mentioned right now. I think it'll concentrate a great energy at the floor.
Fuee~ (Sho-chan imitating Kojima Yoshio XDDD Remember Kojima Yoshio-san? He went to Shimura Doubutsuen some time ago. Aibachan doing "Sonnano kankei nee~!!!" with him...)
Suzuki-san: So please listen, Tech Noise by Groove Man.
.....Tech Noise.....
This is exciting ne!
Well, Suzuki-san recently has introduced a kind of "comfortable" house music... So I have a feeling that it had been a long time that I haven't listened to an agitated house music like this one.
Thank you.
Eee... Tech Noise of Groove Man introduced today can be purchased at Dance Music Record Shibuya Store.

LISTENERS' BEAT
From here, the Listeners' Beat.
As this week is the last week of the month, I would like to answer the requests received at the The Select Sho.
Firstly, from radio name yukiko-san.
Sho-kun konbanwa!
Konbanwa.
This is the first time I send a mail.
Eee...
In the end of 2007, I was watching Kohaku (NHK Kohaku Utagassen) by chance and when I saw the lyrics of Makihara Noriyuki-san's GREEN DAYS I ended up crying.
That part of the lyrics,
"I'm glad. I didn't end up my day still misunderstanding that this world is terrible. It's because I was with you."
really touched my heart.
For me the songs of 2007 that touched my heart and made me cry were Love so sweet and this GREEN DAYS.
Sho-kun, do you have a song that touched your heart and made you cry?
I'll be waiting with anticipation for Sho-kun's and also Arashi's activities/works in 2008.
Arigatou gozaimasu.
It's not that I cried, but one song in 2007 that really stuck my heart, for me, was that song.
Douzo!
Heal ・・・・・ Micro of Def Tech feat. Ito Yuna, WISE, PJ, BIGGA RAIJI and Primary Color Allstars
From the solo album of Micro-san of Def Tech, Heal feat. Ito Yuna, WISE, PJ, BIGGA RAIJI and Primary Color Allstars.
It's like... Sounds like Heal the World of Michael Jackson... a little bit like... looking the world in macro way... huum... observing from afar... this is a song that looks like "there are so many sad things in this world ..."
But also there is a strong message concerning about how this world will be observed by eyes of the kids. So that song... I was listening a lot in the end of 2007.
That's it. Let me continue.
From radio name [saikin toki ga tatsunoga hayaku kanjimasu] -san. (radio name "recently I feel the time pass faster")
Hahahaha... This is already a sentence!
Happy New Year!
Omedetou gozaimaaasu!
I always enjoy list... (Sho-chan misspeaking XDD) listening.
Arigatou gozaimasu!
Finally it's 2008 ne.
I have something new that I would like to start from this year.
That's to take English classes.
Recently I had the chance to talk to someone from India.
That person was speaking English very well although this is not their native language. But I couldn't speak like I imagine and that made me feel frustrated.
So Sakurai-san, do you have something new that you would like to start or something that you would like to challenge this year?
I already talked about it last week, but I started to take English classes too.
And another thing... it is not the native language at India?
It was originally a British territory, so I thought it was English and Hindu.
It's a little bit different from the request but this week I would like to go like this...
.....playing.....Indian pop song that Sho-chan bought in a bazaar at India.....
Well... It'll be about something that happened recently, but... Eeeh... I... on January 1st, from New Year's day, I went to India, for a travel.
Hahahaha...
After finishing Countdown, I went to Hatsumoude (visit to shirines/temples during the first days of the New Year), and right after that, I made my way to Narita (Narita International Airport) without sleeping... Eeeh... I made such miracle.
Eeeh... I went to an India trip!
When I decided to go, it was on December 26th, 27th... it was really near the end of the year... It was decided like "oh well... I think I am going to India....." so I was surprised that I managed to catch it.
It was really enjoyable!!
People often say that there are people who adapt and people who doesn't.
Well, for me, since I spent a short time there, I'm not able to judge. Anyway, I really enjoyed a lot!
And talking specifically about physical condition and health... My father also told me that, to take care with water.
Well... basically I was told to never drink tap/faucet water... and to take care when brushing the teeth too.
Such things are also written on the guide book.
Then I took water.
But I didn't have any stomach-ache. I was feeling very healthy. It was a VERY fruitful trip.
Then... Firstly, when we arrived there at night... I think it was about midnight... So it was 11 or 12 o'clock of New Year's day.
In the middle of the night I went to take a walk around the city... with my friend.
Fufu... That song is nice!
Since there are few street lights, the town is dark.
And there wasn't anyone!!
The city was so quiet that I thought where are the 1.1 billion people that are supposed to be in India??
Well, if I say... it was scary. It looked like a ghost town.
Then when I was walking with my friend at night, a dog on our side... since there were lots of dogs on the street... wan wan wan wan wan!! kyan kyan kyan kyan kyan!!
Yabai! They scared me. But then I suddenly heard "moooooh" and a cow came out behind me.
Hahaha... I was surprised to see a cow on the street...
Yes. Hinduism... probably... I think Lord Shiva... the animal used for transportation is a cow so it is a sacred creature. Of course the fast food are also not prepared with beef patty.
And also those cows on the street... people of the town treat them as a sacred creature. So there are quite a lot of cows on the street. At the town.
That was interesting too.
If you're waiting on the traffic light, an elephant is also waiting on the traffic light very normally.
Well, there were so many things...
One of them is... I went to a city called Agra to visit the World Heritage Taj Mahal, a very big mosque of Islam.
Agra... actually it takes 2 hours to get there by train. So I wanted to go by train but I was told that it was impossible to take the train at a very short notice.
So we ended up going by car, taking 5 hours to arrive in Agra.
Then we saw the Taj Mahal.
Then we decided to wait until evening... and saw the Taj Mahal lit by the evening sunshine.
Also the Agra Fort... that fort... well, we went sight-seeing normally.
Then at about 5 or 6 o'clock in the evening... we went out of Agra.
To go back to Delhi. Then it takes 4hours, 5 hours again.
Then we arrived in Delhi.
But the car started to make noise like "dudun dudun dudun..."
Then I thought "hey, hey, what is happening with this car!?"... It was punctured... the car (the tyre)
Then I thought "What will they do with that? Maybe they will call someone..." but we went back that way... slanting slightly to the right... and getting back to the hotel.
And of course... At the time of leaving... we made our way to the airport. Now the car stalled on the way. So we made our way to the airport on foot...
Hahaha! It was wonderful! Those happenings are also funny!
There was a guide who was conducting us.
After sight-seeing, we thought that it wasn't interesting to visit only those places introduced on the guide book. It IS interesting, but in fact there is no contact...
So I was wondering where should I go... for example a bazaar... what else... huuum... I went to the innermost parts of a normal/common town... And also I went to the Delhi Train Station.
Undoubtedly, there is a lot of people. And... honestly, that image of India, featured in magazines, a place where the wealthy is increasing a lot... for me, I don't have that impression.
Huum... The number of poor people is absolutely greater. I understand that it becomes this way since the place is populous, but it's absolutely greater. From this point of view, it was good that I came back after realizing that.
Well, if I say something like "news", they're building a new airport and also a subway for the Asian Games.
There are many constructions.
The strong impression I had is that they're working on redevelopment of the city.
That CD of now too... I went to a bazaar... and told that I wanted a CD.
I wanted to listen to Indian pop and Indian classic and also Indian dance music.
That one is included in the CD of Indian pop.
The Indian dance music is really cool.
Of course, if Goa has... so I think in the middle, at the main territory, India has trance music as well.
Anyway, I felt something familiar related to hip hop. Think you already listened that, there is a song of JZ, (Sho-chan singing ^^;;;) "tein te te te tein... tein te te te tein!", those songs are sampled from musics of India.
There are lots of pleasant music, so it was very interesting.
Oh well... it was very fruitful!
Although it was a travel decided suddenly.
I think it is a very interesting country!
Actually I wanted to go to the Ganges River too, but from Delhi to Ganges River, it takes 11 hours by train. Did you know that?
I really wanted to go there.
But that's why I couldn't go.
Also the airplanes... I heard that there are only 3 flights per day.
I didn't have much time.
But I had a contact with the culture of India.

Aiba-chan: Konbanwa! Arashi no Aiba Masaki de~su!!
We're already in February ne! Already...
Otsuka-kun: Hai. So fast ne! Really...
A: Yes, really fast!! Really, we'll suddenly be an old! (he said jijii)
O: Hahaha!!
A: Really...
O: Hai.
A: As we become older, we feel the time pass faster.
O: That's true. Every single day is going fast.
A: I wonder why... When I was at elementary school it seemed to be so long... like "STILL am I at the 3rd year??"
O: It used to take quite long ne.
A: Yes, it was long... Well, let's enjoy every single day carefully.
O: Hai.
A: Today let's enjoy the present moment.
O: Today also. Firmly!
A: Let's go firmly!
O: Hai.
A: So... quickly, let's start by a mail.
O: So let me start.
A: Hai.
O: From Hokkaido, uririn-san!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: I listened to the last week's Rekomen Arashi Remix.
A: Oh!
O: The other day Aibachan played "Fuyu wo dakishimete". I loved that song at the first time I listened to it!
A: Oh!
O: Of course I do like the main song of the CD singles...
A: Hum.
O: but there are many times that I end up liking the coupling songs more.
A: ooh...
O: Specially, the one that I realy like is "Ichioku no Hoshi" of WISH.
A: That's like a core ne.
O: Hai.
A: Hum.
O: From now on, I'll be waiting with anticipation for coupling songs loved by everyone.
A: Oh well... Do you listen to the couplings? I was the type that used to not listen.
O: Hai.
A: Long time ago.
O: Long time ago.
A: Well, not specifically a long time ago...
O: Well, when you were a kid.
A: Yes, yes... myself... What was the first CD that you bought?
O: I... I'm not sure but it was... TAMA's... an artist whose name is TAMA... "Sayonara Jinrui".
A: For the first time?
O: Hai.
A: The one which I first bought was that... "Donna tokimo" (どんなときも is one of the singles of the singer song writer Makihara Noriyuki)
O: Hai.
A: And probably... Probably... at something like a game center...
O: Hai.
A: there was a place where you could take CDs at the "UFO CATCHER". (this is a type of claw vending machine in Japan)
O: Hai.
A: Near my house... at Chiba.
O: Hai.
A: Then the CD I took at this machine was "Kinta no Daibouken". (Kinta's Great Adventures, I dunno what kinf of CD is that...)
O: Hahahaha!!
A: That was GREAT!
A: That one too... I think I didn't listen to the coupling of it.
O: Hai.
A: So I feel happy ne...
O: Hahaha!!
A: if the coupling...
O: That's true.
A: if people enjoy listen to the couplings too.
O: Hai.
A: On February 20th Arashi's new single...
O: Hai.
A: Step and Go will be out.
O: It will be soon ne.
A: Yes, it will be soon.
O: Hai.
A: I hope everybody will listen to the coupling of that too.
O: Hai.
A: All the listeners... please... yoroshiku onegaishimasu!
O: Hai.
A: Let's play that one!
O: Let's play that one?
A: Since we just said that it'll be released on February 20th! So which one? The A side... AH! Nowadays we don't say A side / B side anymore... Well, will we play the coupling or the "Step an Go"?
A: Which one?
O: So...
A: Well, since she said that she likes "Fuyu wo Dakishimete"...
O: Yes, that's right.
A: So let's play "Fuyu wo Dakishimete"?
O: Hai!
A: So please listen! Step and Go by Arashi! (XDDDDD... Aibachan...)
.....Step and Go.....
(Omoide Shredder) Memory Shredder
A: Omoide Shredder has the purpose of taking your shameful/embarrassing memories or past memories that you want to forget, and having them shredded by me, Aiba Masaki, using a shredder.
O: Hai.
A: So the "shameful memories" had arrived this week?
O: Hai. This week we received various memories as always.
A: Hahahaha!!
O: I wanna take them to the shredder, one by one!
A: Hahaha!! All right! I really enjoy this corner!
O: Hai. I think everybody started to realize how they should write.
A: In other words, everybody is amazing ne!
O: Yes, they are indeed amazing!
A: Looks like a postcard artisan!
O: Hai. I also think that it could be better for them to save those funny episodes.
A: That's true.
O: Hai.
A: Sure that it would be funny ne... In a party/meeting with friends or something like that.
O: Hai.
A: Let's go, let's go!
O: So let me start.
A: Hai!
O: Eeee... we got it from radio name akechan-san!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aiba-kun konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: I went to Okinawa for my school trip.
A: Hum.
O: When we arrived Okinawa many people said "mensooree!" to me.
A: Hum.
O: So I replied "mensooree!" with a smile.
A: Hum.
O: I thought the meaning for it was "hello!".
A: Hum.
O: But the meaning of "mensoore" was "welcome!".
A: Hahahaha!!!
O: Hahaha!!
O: I can't forget their expression looking confused and my friend's face when I replied.
A: Hahahaha!!!
O: Hahaha!!
O: Aiba-kun, please take this shameful memory to the shredder.
A: Hahahaha!!!
A: Aaaa...
O: But this one... Aiba-san, don't you happen to have similar experiences?
A: Yes yes yes!
O: Since you always go to many countries.
A: Yes, I have. Not only I have but I also thought "mensoore" was the same as "hello".
O: Hai.
A: If someone says "mensoore" I would reply "mensoore!" as well.
O: I think we would naturally reply to it.
A: It means "welcome!", "welcome!" ne?
O: Hai.
A: But recently I... at the beginning of the year...
O: Hai.
A: Not in the end of the year! At the beginning of the year.
A: The first moments of the year. I was very ashamed.
O: Hai.
A: I always go to that... I always go to "Hatsumoude"! (visit to shirines/temples during the first days of the New Year. I'm not sure but I think almost all JE members go to Hatsumoude... maybe together. Nino and Sho also mentioned something related to Hatsumoude on their radio shows in the beginning of the year.)
O: Hai.
A: We always go... to Hatsumoude. And then we were at a corridor and someone... a priest?
O: Hai.
A: Someone of the temple greeted us with the words "omedetou gozaimasu!" while we're walking by the corridor. Then we're greeted "omedetou gozaimasu!" and then I replied saying "arigatou gozaimasu!".
O: Hai.
A: At the first time I really didn't realize about the meaning of "omedetou"...
O: Hai.
A: It's "akemashite omedetou!", right? (Happy New Year!)
O: Hai.
A: Then you obviously should reply "omedetou gozaimasu!".
O: Hai.
A: But... It seemed that "I" was being congratulated!
(when the priest greeted "omedetou gozaimasu!" he meant "akemashite omedetou!"(Happy New Year!). He didn't meant "Congratulations!". So you should reply with the same words ("omedetou gozaimasu!") wishing "Happy New Year" as well. But Aibachan replied with "Thank you so much!".)
O: Aaah... I see...
A: I felt like that...
O: Hai.
A: I DID it. At the first moments of the New Year.
A: So let's take this, including my episode, to the shredder later.
O: Let's take them later.
A: That my memory too ne... together!
O: Hai.
A: So let's continue.
O: Let me continue. From Niigata-ken, radio name fumiko-chan!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibachan, Otsuka-san konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: Please, erase my shameful memory.
A: Hai.
O: Some time ago I went to have lunch with my friend at Aibachan's home.
A: Oh!
O: It was lunch time so the place was very crowd. We should wait our turn in the restaurant. So the attendant asked us "What's your name?".
A: Hum.
O: My friend who enter the restaurant first, looked at me. So I did a sign like "tell you" telling her to answer. Then my friend, with a confused face, told her name...
A: Hum.
O: "Aiba desu"... That's it. My friend's surname is AIBA.
A: Heeeee...
O: The restaurant attendant heard that and then looked a bit confused. And I end up doing a nasty thing to my friend. Then we felt uncomfortable with each other while we were waiting and also while we were eating.
A: Eeeh? But I think there was no need to feel uncomfortable with each other ne.
O: But sure it's like... well, if you go to Aiba-san's home and when you're asked what's your name your answer is "My name is Aiba"... it's possible to think something like "hey, are you making some jokes? are you serious?"...
A: Huuum... well, well... I wonder... I wonder how would it be... Huum...
O: Well, that person probably felt like she was bothering (causing some inconvenience)...
A: Huum...
O: Hai... The letter of "BA"(婆) is different. It's the kanji of "nami"(wave).
(her name is written as 相婆 which is different from Aibachan's 相葉)
A: "nami"??
O: "AI"(相) from "aite"(aite = 相手 - means "opponent" or maybe "partner" too) and...
A: "nami"... of the sea??
O: Hai.
A: oooh... Ah! kakkoii!
O: Yes.
A: A nice battle with "ha-ppa"(葉っぱ = leaf, or simply 葉 = HA = leaf)
O: No... "happa" is also nice (kakkoii) too...
A: Hahahaha!!!
O: Hahaha!!
A: Let's continue.
O: Let me continue.
A: Hai.
O: From Niigata-ken, sumaafu-san!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: KonAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: I always enjoy listening to your radio every week.
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: My friend is telling me that she had a shameful experience and wants to forget it, so please take it to the shredder.
A: Hai.
O: For my friend it's something basic to sleep wearing no bra(brassière).
A: Fufu...
O: On the next day she went that way to take immunization of influenza.
A: Oh!
O: The nurse raised her clothes behind and approached the stethoscope.
A: Hum.
O: Of course she wasn't wearing bra...
A: Hahaha!
O: The "uncle" doctor (the doctor was an "ojisan". I suppose he might have 40-50 years old... maybe? I don't know...) saw her breasts "live" but the "uncle" doctor continued without changing his face expression. Even so she told me that she was really embarrassed and wanted to rush back home.
A: aah...
O: Aibachan, do you have a similar experience?
A: No, of course not!
O: Hahaha!
A: Hahaha!!! I don't wear such thing!
O: Hai.
A: But I bet that doctor who raised her clothes was surprised as well.
O: I think so ne.
A: For example if you go to the toilet and forget to lock the door... whose is the fault? The one who opened the door by accident or the one who didn't lock...
O: Hai.
A: There are situations like that.
O: Hai.
A: This is the same situation. The doctor was probably... very surprised!
O: I think so ne.
A: Like "HEY, WAIT A MOMENT!?".
O: Hahaha! Hai.
A: "C'mon, please wear (bra)!".
O: Hahaha! Hai.
A: "Hide it!"...
A: I wonder if there wasn't a way to do something like a first aid?? (to cover her breasts)
O: Hum...
A: Or maybe stick an adhesive bandage?
O: Eeh? But I guess it...
A: Or seashell or also scallop!!!
O: it looks like...
A: Hum.
O: just when she raised... (her clothes)
A: She realized that only at the moment she raised.
O: Then she finally noticed about it.
A: Oh well... Since it's possible to happen things like that... women shall take care ne... though if you compare to men it might be some troublesome...
A: You're always with no bra, right? Otsuka-kun?
O: Yes, I suppose I'm not using bra.
A: Hahaha!! Always??
O: Hai.
A: All time?
O: All time.
A: I see... For women there are many things to concern about!
O: Hai.
A: So please take care ne.
O: Hai.
A: So we had those three? Let's read one more?
O: So one more?
A: Let's go! Since we still have time.
O: From Hyogo-ken, radio name F4-no-hassaku-san!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibachan konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: I grew up in a countryside called Innoshima.
A: Hum.
O: But when I was 18 years old I came out to Osaka to be able to continue my studies.
A: Oh.
O: I did the moving with my parents using our car.
A: Hum.
O: We entered a small parking on the way.
A: Hum.
O: Then me and my parents went to the toilet. My mother who was carrying a large sum of money told me "I'm worried. You hold my wallet while I am in the toilet." So I took her wallet and made my way to the toilet with a short delay.
A: Hum.
O: When I was waiting at the entrance of the toilet my mother came out and then my father also came out from another entrance.
A: Hum.
O: At that moment I noticed something. My father came out from the toilet I was willing to enter. That's it. My father came out from the lady's toilet.
A: Fufufu...
O: And of course the men's toilet was where my mother was. Then when I asked "mom, did you enter the men's toilet?" my mother answered "oh, that's true... that's why I thought it was so dirty."
A: Hahaha!
O: Then she told that my father was who enter the lady's toilet first, so she automatically went to the opposite toilet. And tried to shift the responsibility for the mistake. Since it was a small parking, fortunately there was no one there, but please, take my parents' innocence/naive-ness to the shredder. Please.
A: Sugoi nee...
O: Hai.
A: The "Men" and "Women"...
O: Haha! Hai.
A: mistaking them...
O: But sometimes... there are some toilets that are a bit confusing to find out which is the lady's toilet and which one is the men's toilet.
A: Aaah... If they are not differed by the colours.
O: Hai.
A: It turns difficult... Sometimes... When I went to the countryside...
O: Hai.
A: You know the mark after Tsunku-san's name... (つんく♂ - His artist name is written like that. He is well-known as the producer of Hello!Project and also the vocalist of the group SharanQ)
O: Hahaha!!
A: The one like "man" or "woman". (those ♂ and ♀ symbols)
O: Hai. Hahahaha!!
A: That... I really don't know them!! I wonder which one is for "man"?
O: Aaah... Think I don't understand them too.
A: They're difficult, aren't they?? There is one... how can I say... it looks like a key... that symbol.
O: Hai.
A: Those "man" or "woman" thing...
O: If you glance at it... If those (symbols) are put (at the toilet's entrance door) I would probably enter the opposite one.
A: I agree... I wouldn't know... My way for distinguish which one is the men's toilet and which one is the lady's toilet is...
O: Hai.
A: to peek and check if the tile is pink or blue.
A: Isn't it?
O: That's right, that's right, that's right.
A: But it is changing nowadays.
O: Hai.
A: So it started to be a bit confusing...
O: Hai.
A: But... I wonder if her mother couldn't notice that.
O: Oh well... her father...
A: Because...
O: Since her father entered instead...
A: But think with me... at a men's toilet... obviously a lady wouldn't do it standing ne...
O: That's true...
A: If you go until the innermost part...
O: Hai.
A: there are many "traps" on the way, right? Like those "traps"... to pee, standing...
O: Hai.
A: I wonder how she didn't notice with such things...
O: Well...
A: Maybe she was in a hurry?
O: She was "away" (distracted) ne.
A: Hahaha!! "away" ne.
O: Hahaha! Hai.
A: Since it wasn't at home...
O: Hai.
A: Oh well... must take care ne! Really!
O: Hai.
A: Really! We must take care... otherwise there are high possibilities to happen such things! That thing!
O: I agree. Aiba-san, you're very well-known... (like a celebrity for making such mistakes XD)
A: Things like that!
O: More than us!
A: Yes. There is a high possibility of being in a such situation, so we need to take care ne.
O: Hai.
A: Well... those memories...
O: Hai.
A: Let's take them to the shredder? Goodbye, shameful past!!!
A: Well... Really! There are still many more!
O: There are ne.
A: This is a corner that I still would like to continue for a long time!
O: Hai.
A: So please, I would like to ask all of you to send us a shameful past that you have.
A: No more! That was the "Memory Shredder"!!
(Oshiete, Aibachan!) Tell us, Aibachan!!
A: I'll answer to the questions I received from the listeners by mails/letters. So they arrived?
O: Today we have lots of them as always!
A: "Oshiete!" (tell me!)
O: Hai.
A: Really? I'll tell EVERYTHING!
O: We received lots of questions asking to "tell me! tell me!".
A: It's OK!! Let's answer to anything!
O: Hai. So let me start.
A: Hai.
O: From Fukuoka-ken, ayako-san!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibachan konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: As well as Aibachan, I have a younger brother.
A: Hum.
O: My younger brother calls me everyday sometimes with "chan", sometimes he calls me only by my name, and also sometimes he calls me by a nickname that my friend uses for me.
A: Hum.
O: That really irritates me. So Aibachan...
A: Hum.
O: How does your younger brother call you?
A: Oooh... I... My brother calls me "Nii".
(I suppose it comes from "oniichan" which means older brother, as well as "oneechan" for older sister.)
O: Nii?
A: Hum. It has always been "Nii".
O: Heee... And also...
A: When his tension gets high he calls me "niipuri"!
O: Hahaha!!!
A: I wonder what is that "puri".
O: Niipuri??
A: Hum. I almost can't understand why that...
O: Hahahaha!!
A: There are times that I am called like that... but basically it has always been "Nii".
O: How young is your brother?
A: Our difference is 4 years.
O: 4 years.
A: We have 4 years of difference but if he calls me by a nickname...
O: Hai.
A: I think it probably wouldn't irritate me.
O: Huuumm...
A: Well, I don't know because I have never been called like that.
A: I wonder how many years is the difference between them?
O: Oh well...
A: I suppose they have a great difference... if she says that it irritates her.
O: In other hand if they have a great age difference...
A: Then it won't irritate?
O: I don't know...
A: Twins?
O: Hahaha! It seems clearly that they aren't twins.
A: Hahaha!! They aren't twins...
O: Hahaha!!
A: Well... my younger brother is recently working hard...
O: Hai.
A: at a hotel...
O: Hai.
A: in a chinese cuisine.
O: Heee...
A: Then I went there to eat... the other day.
O: Hai.
A: So I went there... well, it was amazing! It is 10 times more expensive than our family's chinese restaurant!! Everything!
O: Hahahaha!! Really??
A: My younger brother is working in a place like that.
O: Hai.
A: So I went there with my family.
O: Hai.
A: I went with my dad... my dad, my mom and me. We went there.
O: Hai.
A: Do you know my friend Taku-chan? He came here once, at this radio.
O: Ah, hai.
A: Echiura's. (don't know what it is...)
O: Hai.
A: With Taku-chan, our 4 went there.
O: Hai.
A: To have dinner. Oh well... my dad was making faces...
O: Hahahaha!!!
A: Like "Are you working in such place??"
O: Hahaha!!
A: While eating "fukahire". (a sophisticated dish prepared with dried shark fin)
O: Ah, it was the first time your father went there?
A: Yes yes yes yes yes. He was complaining that the setting of the price is amazing.
O: Hahaha!!
A: But... Well, it's a hotel ne.
O: That's right.
A: It might have some cost of the place ne.
O: Huum...
A: Eeeh... So that's it. Let's continue?
O: Let me continue. From Tokyo, radio name kon-maiba-san!
A: Huh?
O: We got it from konmaiba-san!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Arigatou gozaimasu! Eeeh...
O: Aibachan konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: I enjoy listening to your radio every week.
A: Hai.
O: I would like to ask Aibachan something!
A: What is it about?
O: We decided to have a dog at my home.
A: Oh!
O: I don't know the name of the type/breed but I heard that the puppy is so small that it could fit in a mug.
A: Hum.
O: So I want Aibachan, who loves animals, to choose a name for my dog. Anything that come to your mind is OK.
A: What she is asking is difficult ne.
O: Well... naming theme is for Aiba-san ne.
A: It could fit in a mug.
O: Hai.
A: The dog ne.
O: Is it so small like that?
A: A small dog like that... Like a tea cup noodle... AH! Not "noodle" ne. Hahaha!! What was that?
O: Hahaha!! Poodle!
A: Poodle.
O: Do you mean poodle?
A: Yes, poodle! Yes yes yes.
O: Hahaha!
A: Yes, the tea cup...
O: You turned it into a noodle!!
A: I guess her dog is like a poodle. ("tea cup poodle" - small-sized like a toy poodle or a miniature poodle)
A: Probably.
O: Heee...
A: The other day I had a photoshoot with a puppy like those tea cup poodles. (<--- Wink Up?)
O: Hai.
A: It was REALLY CUTE! (Aibachan said "sugee kawaikatta!")
O: Heee...
A: And it doesn't have any smell... though it is a dog.
A: Sugoi yo! It wasn't stinky!
O: Was it like that?
A: Huum...
O: Did it really have the same size as a mug?
A: A round... it was a round puppy.
A: Then let's choose the name from "mug".
O: Magu-chan?
A: No... That's too obvious...
O: That's true.
A: Maca-chan?
O: Hahaha!! Ma...
A: Taking the "ca" from magu-ca. Isn't it kawaii?
(Mug in Japanese is "mug cup" - マグカップ [magu cappu] )
O: Maca-chan.
A: Or maybe... magu... what about "Mappu"?
O: Hahaha!
A: Mappu?
O: Mappu? Is it OK? Mappu...
A: Mappu... Wait...
O: What about "Makapu"?
A: Ah! That could be the best.
O: Hahaha!
A: That's the best until now!
O: Haha! Sorry...
A: Makapu! That's the best one!
O: Hahaha!
A: That's cute!
O: Makapu...
A: Makapu~!!
O: Hai.
A: I wonder if it's easy to call.
O: I think Makapu is easy to spell.
A: Easy to spell ne.
A: Then comparing to Mappu which one is easier to spell?
A: Say the both names.
O: Mappu~
A: Hum.
O: Makapu~
A: I think it's Makapu!
O: Hai.
A: So let's choose Makapu!
O: I would like to ask her to send us a photo of the puppy ne!
A: That's true!
O: Makapu's.
A: Hum. Hahaha! I took the freedom to choose the name...
O: Hahaha! Hai.
A: I would like to ask you to send us a photo of Makapu! Please, please! Onegai shimasu!
A: So let's continue!
O: Let me continue. From Shizuoka-ken, suzuko-san!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibachan konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: Thank you so much for bringing me joy in this cold season.
A: no no no... don't say such thing...
O: Truly...
A: No, really...
O: That's really thankful ne... to hear such things.
A: I'm really grateful for it. Hai.
O: In seasons like this what would Aibachan most like to eat? Please tell me.
A: In cold seasons I like to eat motsu nabe! (dish made from beef or pork offal in a hot pot. motsu means offal)
O: Aaah!
A: WITHOUT offal.
O: Eh?? Hahaha!
A: That's what I always eat. I like motsu nabe but I don't like the offal.
O: Hahaha!! Wait... wait!
A: What??... What??
O: Hahaha! It means that you like the soup prepared with offal?
A: Yes. I like the SOUP prepared with offal.
O: Haha!
A: I like the SOUP! Only that!
O: So you have it with vegetables.
A: Yes!
O: Heee...
A: When I go to a restaurant to eat motsu nabe it comes with motsu in it. But I NEVER eat the offal! If I go with a friend I apologize saying that I don't like the offal.
O: So there is someone in charge of the offal.
A: In charge of the offal??
O: Hahaha!!
A: I ask someone to be in charge of the offal... something like that...
A: The other day I saw for the first time...
O: Hai.
A: A very bad-looking guy... Then there is a chinese cuisine restaurant where I always go.
O: Hai.
A: It's not my house.
O: Hai.
A: It wasn't at my house. It was at another chinese cuisine restaurant.
A: That guy had a VERY scary face.
O: Hai.
A: Try to imagine!
O: Hahaha!
A: Just like those scary faces (looking mad/angry) of some bad guys/characters that appears on manga!
O: Hai.
A: See? That guy ordered "tantan-men WITHOUT noodles". (tantan-men is similar to lamen - soup with noodles)
O: Hahaha!!!
A: Then the restaurant attendant went like "Haa?? What is it?".
O: Hahaha!
A: Like "So it means... that it'll be only "tan"..." (without "men")
O: Hai.
A: Then they prepared it... since the guy had a mad-looking face...
O: Hai.
A: So they brought it... just some vegetables floating on the soup. Then he ate that and left.
O: Hee...
A: What I wanted to point out is that things like that happen! Depends on the person...
O: Hahaha!!
A: For me it's motsu nabe without the offals.
O: Hai.
A: Don't you have such things, Otsuka-kun?
O: Oh well... they're like... it means that you're asking to take off the MAIN ne??
A: Yes, asking to take off the main!
O: Eee?
A: Like "the main... I don't like it... I like that one..."
O: It means that you prefer the "secondary" one.
A: "secondary"...
(...silence...)
A: Well, seems that you don't have... So forget it.
O: Hahahahaha!!
A: Hahaha!!
A: So we're waiting for your questions that may surprise us! Mail address is arashi@joqr.net or mail box 〒105-8002 文化放送「嵐・相葉雅紀のレコメン!アラシリミックス」!!
A: So now let's play a song.
O: Hai.
A: Since we played "Step an Go" just now...
O: Hai.
A: next will be the coupling for that. Please listen! Fuyu wo Dakishimete by Arashi!
.....Fuyu wo Dakishimete.....
A: Well, the ending time is nearing. An information about arashi is that the 21st single "Step and Go" will be released on February 20th. For the first press limited edition there will be a DVD! Oh! Sugoi! The DVD contains the promotion video. Sugoi ne!
O: Sugoi!
A: The first press limited edition... The other day we had the filming of the promotion video... Ah! I already mentioned it before ne.
O: Hai.
A: I did ne. Then you should stop me!
O: That it was very slow...
A: Yes yes yes yes yes... a very slowly...
O: Hai.
A: I saw it done.
O: Hai.
A: You can see that Arashi is trying to do their best!
O: Hee...
A: It looks stylish. So I would be happy if you can get the limited edition and watch it. Also for the regular edition... it includes "Fuyu wo Dakishimete".
O: Huum...
A: Then it means that for the limited edition it's not included.
A: That's right ne? That's amazing... "Fuyu wo Dakishimete"...
O: Hai.
A: that was C1000's CM song. So I would like to ask you to listen to it. Well, that was Arashi Aiba Masaki's Rekomen Arashi Remix! Your partner was Aiba Masaki! See you next week!!! Bye bye!!
-END-
Our lovely Riida promoting his art exhibition on Shukudaikun!!! O no Arashi!!
The artworks created by Ohno along 10 years...
...will be in his artbook FREESTYLE!!
Photos of the original figures taken in various situations...
...and also landscapes of the artwork creation, objects, paintings and others.
Ogu-san asked how did he make those figures.
"Firstly I make that face using clay. Then I pour "gypsum" into the mould. After that I make another mould and pour resin into it. Then it becomes like that."
The funniest part is when Nino starts telling Riida that all Arashi members are saying things like "I want this one! I want that one!".
Jun was browsing Riida's artbook FREESTYLE and he said that actually there is one artwork that he really would like to have.
Nino then asked him "How much would you pay for that?".
Jun answered that he was willing to pay any price that Riida decides.
Then Riida went like "EH??"
and asked if it's OK even if the price is about a hundred millions!! XDD Hahaha!!! Riida is so cute!
After that Jun's answer was that smile...
Aibachan doing backflip on this week's Tensai Shimura Doubutsuen! >___<
They were trying to guess what an ural owl of a hotel at Okinawa does when the owl sees a dustpan.
Aibachan's answer: backflip!
Well, of course his answer wasn't correct! But he is so kawaiii!! Aoki-san also said "I want to consider this as the correct answer." !!
Rekomen 2008.01.25
Words in blue are my observations.
Many thanks to Tess-chan for the audio file ^__^
Aiba-chan: Konbanwa! Arashi no Aiba Masaki de~su!!
Really... January is almost ending ne.
Otsuka-kun: Hai.
A: If it keeps going like this... this year will really going to end.
O: Soon it will be December again ne.
A: Hahaha!! But we're still on January!
O: Hahaha!!
A: We still have a long long long time...
O: Sorry! Did I exaggerate?
A: Yes, you're really exaggerating...
O: Hahaha!!
A: I think you're doing too much radio shows, aren't you?
O: Hahahaha! no no no...
A: Recently... don't you notice any repercussion? ...as Otsuka. (people's reaction towards DJ Otsuka)
O: No...
A: You always always take a back seat on each radio show, don't you? If we see... it's only on this program that you take the front side.
O: That's right.
A: and talk.
O: Hai.
A: Any reactions from the people around?
O: Reactions... no.
A: Neither your dad nor your mom listen to it?
O: Haha... Aaah... but my parents are already sleeping ne.
A: I see...
O: Hai.
A: So the next time let them listen to it at least once.
O: Right.
A: They will be surprised, won't they? Like "Aah! That's our son who is talking!"
O: But if they knew how their son is always misspeaking so many times...
A: Hahahaha!!
A: So you don't want to let them know that part.
O: Hai.
A: I see... So today let's do our best to not misspeak ne!
O: Hai.
A: So let's go. Let's start by a mail.
O: Ah, wait... today...
A: Hai.
O: Since I'm afraid of misspeaking while reading a mail, let's do different today.
A: Oh.
O: It's been a while but today we received a mail about psychological tests.
A: Ooh!
O: From the listener.
A: So it'll be the first psychological test of this new year.
O: Hai. Means that we'll forecast our psychology for 2008.
A: Ooh! Let's go. Let's go.
O: Hai. From Tokyo, radio name aibachan-no-namida-ni-kandou-san! (radio name "I was touched by Aibachan's tears")
A: Arigatou gozaimaaasu!
O: Aibachan konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: Please do this psychological test.
A: Hai.
O: Firstly tell 3 terms/conditions for a woman... for a girl, who is Aibachan's type.
A: Fufufu... favorite type of woman? Hey, don't say woman...
O: Hahaha! Tell 3 terms/conditions for your favorite type of a GIRL.
A: Eeeeh!?
O: And please, also the 4th one.
A: You don't need to write, Otsuka-kun? Isn't it better to write? Since this is a psychological test. All the listeners should do this too.
O: Hai.
A: Considering the opposite sex ne.
O: Hai.
A: So firstly... favorite type's... what? Ideal?
O: Many things like woman's... things like...
A: One, two, three.
O: Hai.
A: So is it like a ranking? From the most important to...
O: Yes, in order of priority.
A: Order of priority.
O: Based on what?
A: Eeeeh... What could it be? That's difficult!
O: There are many things.
A: Hum. I... Wait, I'll write it here, then I'll announce it later. So while I do it you can go on. (Aibachan is asking Otsuka-kun to fulfil the time while he thinks)
O: Hahaha!!
A: Did something funny happen to you recently? That would be new! Something funny.
O: Hahahaha!!
A: Tell something funny!
O: (.....)
A: ...what could it be here... (Aibachan talking to himself)
O: Eeeh!?
A: (Aibachan whispering something to himself)
O: Eee... so for me... (Otsuka-kun trying to talk alone and continue the program... XD)
A: (Aibachan keep whispering something to himself)
O: Well... I like fair-skinned women...
A: Hahaha!!!!! WHAT KIND of way to keep the program going on is it??
O: Hahahaha...
A: ...what else... what else...
O: So let me continue... (laughing)
A: ...what else... what could it be? ...
O: Eee...
A: Huumm...
O: Aiba-san! Take the position of attack ne.
A: I know. I know.
O: Do not take the position of defense yo.
A: All right. Attack ne.
O: Would be boring if you go and leave the psychological test.
A: Boring... yes, the result ne.
O: Hai.
A: What else...
O: All of you, the listeners, too. Position of attack, please.
O: Eee... what else... what else could it be? Is it OK? It's better not to think too much ne.
A: Eh?
O: Ah, tell it.
A: Huh? Also the 4th one?
O: Hai. The 4th one too.
A: 4th one...
O: There are various things ne.
A: There are various ne.
O: Hai.
A: The 4th one is... 4th one...
O: For example if you prefer short hair.
A: Aaa... right. The hairstyle too ne.
O: It would be funny if everybody comes to this year's concert in shortcut(short hair) ne.
A: Nobody would do that.
O: Hahaha!!
A: Just because I said "I prefer shortcut!"?
O: Hahaha...
A: No-one would have shortcut only because of that.
O: We don't know.
A: Why?
O: Ah, nothing.
A: Just one more. What could it be... the 4th one... if I am asked so suddenly... but it must be sudden ne.
O: Hai.
A: In a psychological test we should answer without thinking too much ne. That's it. Hai. Aiba-kun. Please, annouce Aiba-kun's answers.
O: Just for your information... on this psychological test...
A: Hum.
O: As Kanna-chan says, actually there is a reason for asking the 4th one.
A: Hum.
O: Your real mind is shown in the 4th one.
A: ARE YOU SERIOUS!?
O: So let me start from the first one.
A: NO WAY!! NO WAY!!
O: Hahahaha!!!
A: HEY, WHAT?? WHAT IS IT!? I suffered a LOT to decide the 4th one! I suffered because there was nothing and then I had no other choice!
O: Hahaha! The first one!
A: Fufufu...
O: What's the meaning of "staying at home"?
A: No, that's wrong. Should be "homely"...
O: Ah, homely...
A: Why did you read it "staying at home"?
O: Hahahaha!!!
A: Hahaha!! A home/homely person.
O: Home person.
A: See... For example someone who can cook well.
O: Hai.
A: Also cleaning the house and launder...
O: Hai.
A: Isn't it better someone who is able to do things like that?
A: Than someone who can't do.
O: That's the first one ne. To be mentioned.
A: Hum.
O: The 2nd one! A sexy body line.
A: Huum.
O: Oh well... can't help yourself since you're a man ne.
A: Either type are OK for me.
O: Hai.
A: I don't care if the body line is a "strong" type.
O: Hum.
A: As well as thin..
O: Just be sexy and it's OK ne.
A: Either type are OK.
O: The 3rd one. Can run fast. Haha...
A: I like girls who run fast.
O: Why?
A: I like girls who run fast since I was at elementary school.
O: I see...
A: Yes.
O: Well...
A: Now the "problematic" one.
O: So the first 3 were like this.
A: Yes.
O: The problematic 4th one.
A: I had no choice for it.
O: Hai.
A: I REALLY didn't have choice.
O: Aiba Masaki's...
A: Hum.
O: real...
A: Hum.
O: priority... the 4th one... "oketsu" (bottom/butt)
A: Hahahaha!!!
O: Hahahaha!!!
staff: (laughs!)
O: After all your answer was like that??
A: NO! Things aren't like this. I couldn't find another one. I had no choice!!
staff: (laughs)
A: There was nothing else! I had no choice!!
O: Hai.
A: ..... I end up writing "ketsu" (butt) ne...
O: Arigatou gozaimasu!!!
staff: (laughs)
O: You did well. Hahaha!
A: Huuumm... Otsuka, you told me to attack...
O: Hai.
A: I'm surprised. Really. That's why I hate psychological tests!
O: Hahahaha!
A: Really...
A: Well, let's start this week's! Arashi! Aiba Masaki's Rekomen Arashi Remix!!!
A: Again... Konbanwa! It's Aiba Masaki from Arashi! This program is broadcasted having Tokyo Hamamatsu's Bunka Housou as the key station.
A: Quickly, let's play tonight's first song!
O: Hai.
A: Eeee... Arashi will release a single on February 20th. A new single. "Step and Go" is the name of the single. And it'll be separated into "First Press Limited Edition" and "Regular Edition". I want to introduce a song which is included on the Regular Edition. So please listen, Fuyu wo dakishimete by Arashi.
.....Fuyu wo dakishimete.....
A-1 GP Strongest Competition
A: The "strongest" thing though it wouldn't be able to go to the Guinness Book. This is a corner where you can boast about something familiar to you that you think it can be the strongest/largest/biggest/amazing.
A: So let's introduce this week's "strongest" informations from everyone. What did we receive?
O: Today we have one which is very special.
A: Ooooh! Let's go. Let's go. Right now!
O: From Nagano-ken, radio name mee-chan!
A: mee-chan, arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Nice to meet you. KonAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: Here where I live it's almost impossible to listen (to this radio show) because of the noise due to the bad reception. But then I received a mail from my friend telling me that Aibachan was looking for "Suwa Seiryou" 's school anthem. (Suwa Seiryou High School - the name of the high school which is in Nagano-ken)
O: So I hurry up to write you this letter.
A: Hahaha!!
O: mee-chan... well, recently we introduced the currently longest school anthem in Japan...
A: Yes yes.
O: the one which has 18 parts.
A: Hai hai.
O: We introduced that, right?
A: Hai.
O: She sent us a MD of it!
A: Really??
O: Hai.
A: And this is the lyrics card ne.
O: Yes, she also sent the lyrics card.
A: Just a bit, let's play it just a little bit.
O: So let's play it just a little bit?
A: Let's play!
A: This is the longest one in Japan...
O: Hai.
A: The one that is supposed to be the "strongest" on this program ne, this school anthem.
O: Hai.
...music is playing... the school anthem
A: Suwa High School.
O: First part...
A: Seiryou High School.
O: Suwa Seiryou High School in Nagano-ken.
...music is playing...
A: That song... how long it'll take?
O: It's OK, let's play only the first part. It took about 10 minutes to play all the 18 parts.
A: It has 18 parts and takes 10 minutes.
O: Hai.
A: Well, if it takes 10 minutes... I suppose they sing the whole anthem until the end ne.
O: I think so.
A: For example on Sports Festival...
O: Hahaha!! Hai.
A: Also on the school's Culture Festival and morning meetings... I suppose they sing during events like that.
A: It's possible, isn't it?
O: Yes, it is.
A: But it's such a troublesome to memorize it!
O: Hahaha!
A: It'll be like they finally were able to memorize it on the 3rd year of junior high...
O: Hai.
A: Or maybe only at the 3rd year of high school.
A: It's possible to happen things like this ne.
O: One more information, I did a research after we received it.
A: Hum.
O: The anthem of this high school... in the setting of "Tsuri-baka Nisshi" Suu-san and Michiko-san's father were graduated from Suwa Junior High School which is supposed to be an antique/old education of this high school. That's why this school anthem also appears in the story of "Tsuri-baka Nisshi".
(Tsuri-baka Nisshi - 釣りバカ日誌 is the name of a manga. This is very famous and it started many many years ago. If I'm not wrong the manga is still going on. The main character "Hama-chan" is a very common businessman working in a office and he is CRAZY for FISHING. "Suu-san" and "Michiko-san" are also characters from the manga. Suu-san is the president of the company Hama-chan works for. Michiko-san is Hama-chan's wife.)
A: Heee! Sugoi!!
O: Seems that it's like this.
A: Sugoi ne.
O: Hai.
A: So "Tsuri-baka Nisshi" Suu-san is from Nagano ne.
O: Eh?
A: The setting.
O: Eh? It's his father... eh? Don't know about Suu-san's origin... but the setting is that Suu-san's father...
A: Ooo...
O: is from this school's antique education...
A: Suwa High School.
O: Suwa JUNIOR High School.
A: Junior High.
O: The story is that he was graduated here.
A: Heee...
A: Well, if we continue listening to this our program will end.
O: That's true.
A: We're so sorry about it, but...
O: Arigatou gozaimashita.
A: we'll have to lower the sound.
O: Well, we would like to receive more school anthems.
A: That's true.
O: Hai.
A: So let's continue.
O: Let me continue.
A: Hai.
O: The next is from Saitama-ken, arashi-consaato-saikou-datta-san! (radio name "Arashi's concert was really great")
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibachan KonAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: "Otsukaresama deshita" for the concert! (or something like "thanks for your effort at the concerts!")
A: Thanks!
O: I was able to attend the concerts since the winter concert (the concerts in the beginning of 2007 right after their Around Asia tour) until the one which was held on October 7th.
A: Oh!
O: Last year Arashi members brought me comfort many times.
A: Hum.
O: Thank you very much.
A: Thank you so much too.
O: This time the A-1 is related to the concerts.
A: Hum.
O: My seat was exactly the same in both spring Dome con on April 29th and Dome con on October 7th. Isn't it the "strongest"?
O: She sent us the proof for it. The tickets.
A: Let me see. Let me see...
O: They're exactly the same... in Tokyo Dome.
A: Sugoi!!
O: They're exactly the same ne.
A: Yes, exactly the same. They're exactly the same ne.
O: Hai.
A: Sugoi ne!!
O: She went to the concert twice and took the same seat in both. This is indeed amazing ne.
A: Sugoi! The probability for it is 1 within 55,000 ne!!
O: Hahaha!! Hai.
A: She hit this probability twice!
O: Even if you aim for that you can't hit it.
A: Yes!
O: Hai.
A: Wow, this is the "strongest"!
O: Well, it's still possible for someone to hit it three consecutive times.
A: Well, that's true. Haha!
O: Hahaha!!
A: I'll be waiting with anticipation.
O: Hai.
A: Sugoi ne!
A: Sugoi... hum.
O: Let me continue. From Tokyo, mai-chan!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibachan KonAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: My A-1 is about my cousin's wedding which was realized recently.
A: Hum.
O: What is the A-1 on a wedding is that...
A: Hum.
O: the place for the marriage ceremony was at the Tokyo Dome!!
A: SUGOI!!!
O: Hahaha! That's awesome ne!
A: REALLY?
O: Eh?
A: Are there any proofs for it? Proof...
O: A photo.
A: Oh!
O: Seems that they did it at the Dome.
A: Ah, that's true... (looking at the photo)
O: Hai.
A: Ah! That's true!
O: At the beginning I thought it must be a joke but when I got there, there were a couple of chairs distributed at the middle of the stadium.
A: Oh!!
O: And a pastor was there too.
A: Wedding!! Heee... Sugoi!!!
O: It must be hard to use the Dome ne.
A: Then Otsuka-kun, did you search about it? Although it might not be so polite...
O: Maybe it may not be polite but I thought about the possibility of being asked about it... so I did a research.
A: OK, but let's keep it secret from everbody. I'ts only me who will see that.
O: I understood.
A: Let me see HOW MUCH did this wedding cost.
O: Hahahaha!! That's indeed amazing!
A: EH?? Is it? That value?
A: Ah, but people say that wedding demands money.
O: Hai.
A: Haaa... of course it is a pretty good price.
O: Hai.
A: Of course! Considering that Uehara-san (a baseball player) plays from that mound ne.
O: Hai.
A: Also Kuwata-san too.
O: Hai.
A: Just being able to stand at the mound where those players use to come is indeed a great thing.
O: It'll stay in memories ne... since this is an once in a lifetime memory.
A: Huum. That's indeed "strongest"!
O: Hai.
A: Well, I'm really astonished by that! Wedding at the Tokyo Dome! This is good ne. Sugoi ne.
A: So please, if you have something that you think it might be the "strongest" then send it to this corner! That was the A-1 GP Strongest Competition!
(Oshiete, Aibachan!) Tell us, Aibachan!!
A: I'll answer to the questions I received from the listeners by mails/letters. Let's go!What we have?
O: Today we have many so let's go!
A: Let's go! One after one!
O: Hai. From Saitama-ken, radio name onarappe-san! (onara = fart)
A: onarappe-san arigatou gozaimasu!
O: I wonder what kind of question it will be...
A: Yes...
O: Aibachan KonAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: This is a weird question...
A: Fufufu...
O: but I'm really curious about so I wanna ask Aibachan.
A: Hai. Please.
O: At my home it's very normal for us to fart. At Aiba home do you fart normally? Do you fart in the company of Arashi members? Please tell me.
A: Firstly from Aiba family.
O: OK, the Aiba family version.
A: Aiba family version does.
O: Hai.
A: It happens normally... probably we don't strain to hold it ne.
O: Hai.
A: Everybody... seems that they might get stressed...
O: Hai.
A: Then we do... we do, we do.
A: We even don't take care on going to the toilet for it.
O: Hum.
A: We do somewhere around... How about Otsuka home?
O: In Otsuka family there isn't any woman besides my mother. And if you fart like directing down then it doesn't make noise.
A: Yes, it turns difficult.
O: At least seems that it doesn't make noise.
A: Hum.
O: So acting a little bit like this...
A: Ah, rising slightly... the butt.
O: Rising slightly. And letting it escape... fart normally.
A: How is it supposed to be? Since we're both male I don't have idea.
O: Hai.
A: For a woman in the same situation, I wonder if they don't care about farting in front of their family. So... WinkUp-san? (asking someone from WinkUp magazine)
O: Hahahaha!!
A: WinkUp-san doesn't do it.
A: But if it's in front of your family...
A: You don't... so does it mean that you strain to hold it?
A: This is not good for your health...
O: Yes, this is bad for your body. I'm worried about your health.
A: I really want WinkUp-san to do it ne.
O: Hahaha...
A: Aaah... well... With Arashi members... when we're only within Arashi members it's completely OK to do it.
O: Hai.
A: But if we're with a staff that we don't know well, then of course we take care to not do such things.
O: Yes, of course.
A: Of course. Imagine that we just met each other like "Nice to meet you..."
O: Hahaha!
A: and then "puri puri puri"... that would be very unpleasant ne.
A: That's right... So that's like this. Let's continue!
O: Let me continue. From Ibaragi-ken, radio name nangoku-no-nappou-san!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibachan KonAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: In winter season we use to have "nabe" (hot pot).
A: Hum.
O: At my home after finishing "nabe" we make "zousui" from it and eat. Our zousui always has moti in it.
(zousui is kind of a Japanese rice soup made from pre-cooked rice and water. It's very common to make zousui from the remaining soup in the pot after finishing nabe dish. Just put pre-cooked rice into this soup and cook a little bit.)
A: Oh.
O: Besides "zousui" it's also very common for us to eat moti with the normal rice (gohan).
A: To put moti in the rice... What does it mean?
O: Huum... I also wonder what does it mean... maybe they simply put moti on the rice.
A: Normally... in the "chawan" (bowls for rice)
O: Hahaha!!
A: Wait, I really can't imagine it.
O: Hai.
A: For example if you have hamburger (grilled patty, not the sandwich) as the main dish then you have it with gohan ne. In a normal chawan.
O: Hai.
A: So you serve the rice and then put moti above it...?
O: And then maybe you put shoyu on it...
A: Hahaha!!!
O: The other day I told about it to my friend...
A: Hum.
O: then she said that normally people don't do such thing... and she laughed at me. Aibachan, do you also have something that you think it's a habit that exists only at your home?
A: Eeeeh???
O: But when we're having a talk with someone, we occasionally notice that there are some weird ways of eating that we have only at our home.
A: White stew with rice it's not common ne.
O: Aaaa...
A: But at my home... at my home it's very common.
O: White stew... Eh? Do you serve white stew with gohan?
A: Yes, I do.
O: The same as curry?
A: Yes. For beef stew it's like that. And white stew too.
A: What else? I also prefer hamburger made of fish than the normal hamburger. Well, that's a matter of preferences ne.
O: Hahahaha!!
A: Marushin Hamburger is sold for about 100yen. (frozen hamburger manufactured by Marushin Foods)
O: Ah, those in orange colored packing?
A: No, those are sausages ne.
O: Ah.
A: There was a hamburger... from Marushin... 98yen... at that time it was 98yen. I'm not sure if it still exists.
O: Hai.
A: That was my favorite food!
O: Heee...
A: Then sometimes my mom used to make (hamburger)... kneading... at night.
O: Hai.
A: And I complained saying "Huh? Today it won't be the Marushin one???"... and I have that memory that I hurt my mom's heart.
O: Something that you shouldn't say.
A: Huum.
O: I see...
A: There were things like this. Let's continue!
O: Let me continue.
A: Hai.
O: From Saga-ken, sakkun-san!
O: Aibachan konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: I always enjoy listening to your radio!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: My birthday is coming...
A: Hum.
O: and Sho-kun's birthday is also coming ne.
A: Right.
O: Then I was thinking, when Aibachan gives birthday presents for the Arashi members, do you have something that you take care of?
A: Huum... Basically is not to choose perishable things and things that are alive.
O: Hahahaha!! Well, this is the prime condition ne!
A: Yes, they are. I think besides those things anything is possible, since it's just to express our feelings.
O: It's been a while since the group was formed.
A: Huum.
O: It's been a long relationship.
A: Huum.
O: Did you never try to surprise more than the previous year?
A: Oh, well... Every year...
O: Hai.
A: when we're too busy...
O: Hai.
A: I'm not able to do it. For example, this year I didn't give any present for Riida yet.
O: Huum...
A: NOT this year! It was last year.
O: Hai.
A: In November.
O: Hai.
A: So this is hard ne. Then there are times when I give after a long delay and also there are times when the time goes by without giving anything.
O: Oh well...
A: There is nothing I can do. BUT this year I'll give!! I wonder what should I give.
O: Hahahaha!!
A: What could be good?
O: What could be good...
A: Eeh?
O: What does he like? Sakurai-san...
A: WHAT??
A: The only thing he does is reading newspaper... So maybe I should subscribe to some newspaper... for his home.
O: Without asking??
A: Hahahaha!!! What a troublesome for him ne!!
O: Hahaha!!
A: It would be a great inconvenience!
O: The first morning newspaper arriving on his birthday...
A: Hahaha!!!
A: "This is from Aiba-san... Thank you for subscribing to us..."
A: What could it be? This is difficult ne... I'll think a little more.
O: Hai.
A: I'm not the type of person who can decide things so easily.
O: Right.
A: Yes.
A: So we're waiting for your "peaceful" questions! Mail address is arashi@joqr.net or mail box 〒105-8002 文化放送「嵐・相葉雅紀のレコメン!アラシリミックス」!!
A: Now let's play a song!
O: Hai.
A: Arashi's new song which will be released on February 20th. So please listen, Step and Go by Arashi!
.....Step and Go.....
A: So the ending time is nearing... Seems that Otsuka-kun had something that he really wanted to search about. So you did a research...
O: I did a research right now.
A: Oh!
O: Today's A-1...
A: Hai.
O: about the wedding at the Tokyo Dome.
A: Ah, sugoi!
O: There was that great person who sent it.
A: Hai hai hai.
O: I'm not sure if this is a plan...
A: Hum.
O: but from my research today, to do weddings at the Tokyo Dome...
A: Hum.
O: In case the wedding reception is held at the Tokyo Dome Hotel, then by this plan...
A: You can go to the Dome.
O: You can do (the wedding ceremony) at the Dome.
A: Heee... This is awesome!
O: Then about the budget...
A: Hum.
O: This is really amazing... inviting 80 people the budget is... from ¥2,800,000.
A: So maybe this is an average amount for a wedding. Isn't it? The average for a hotel. Heee...
O: Sometimes there are more than one couple planning to reserve the same day. In situations like that it's decided by drawing/casting lots.
A: Ah, well... Thanks for searching.
O: Hai.
A: Well, Arashi in February... we played it right now, but on 20th, the new song "Step an Go" will be out. So minasan yoroshiku onegaishimasu! Arashi Aiba Masaki's Rekomen Arashi Remix! Your partner was Aiba Masaki! See you next week!!! Bye bye!!
