MMC News
It was really sad to listen Aibachan reading all the MMC news alone, without Otsuka-kun by his side to read together, comment and laugh together.
Oshiete Aibachan!
- Aibachan was asked if he joined any club activity (or extracurricular activity) when he was at junior high or high school. He was in the basketball club.
- A listener who wants to give a present for her parents with her first salary, asked Aibachan for some advices of what to give.
- Some time ago Otsuka-kun read an e-mail sent by a girl from Tochigi-ken, and Aibachan asked where is Tochigi. So a listener from Tochigi-ken sent an e-mail complaining if Aibachan was asking it seriously or if he was joking.
Songs played during this program:
- Hello Goodbye
- Kimi no tame ni boku ga iru
- WISH
- My Answer
More songs than usual ne... Aibachan usually plays only 2 songs during the program, but this time...
Words in blue are my observations.
As always, many many thanks to aibaland for the audio file.
A: Yabai! Me ga juuketsu shiteru!
(Oh no! My eyes are red!)
O: Radio desu.
(Don't forget that this is a radio.)
A: Ah, that's true... Arashi・Aiba Masaki no Rekomen! Arashi Remix!
Konbanwa! Arashi no Aiba Masaki desu. Eee... I have an... announcement for everyone. Eee... It's about Otsuka-kun who was always with me in this radio... The writer and editor Otsuka Toshiki-kun passed on yesterday.
When I received this news... I was really shocked...
He didn't suffer from any chronic disease. And I was told that it was a sudden cardiac disease.
I also went for the visitation.
And it's still tough for me to take the reality...
We also thought a lot about whether to tell everyone about this or not. As a result of what we staff decided together, we thought that we should tell, since this program goes on.
I would like to try to renew my feelings, to be able to continue.
Today I'll up my tension for me and for Otsuka-kun!
Let's go!
So firstly, I'll start playing the first song. Eee... So please listen, Hello Goodbye by Aiba Masaki.
.....Hello Goodbye.....
O: The radio has already started, so now what are you waiting for?
A: Eh? Spring!
A: Arashi! Aiba Masaki no Rekomen Arashi Remix!
It's Aiba Masaki.
The very very small news. I'll transmit the MMC News.
An incident happened in Souka City of Saitama-ken, when a junior high student girl who was skipping rope during Physical Education class, stumbled over the rope when she performed a double under, and had a swelling on her leg. And that swelling had the shape of the letter "A" of the alphabet. The junior high student girl told that she's feeling a bit sad, a bit happy, thinking that it must be an A of Dream"A"live, A of Arashi, and A of Aiba Masaki.
I see... Let me continue!
There was a happening in the afternoon of April 19th, when Ayako-san of Fukuoka-ken was going back home after having lunch. There was a frog sitting on the windshield of the car. The frog kept sitting on, even after the car had started to move. But it disappeared when Ayako-san arrived home. Although Ayako-san is saying that the frog hitched a ride at her car and ran away without paying, there is the possibility that the frog suffered an accident on the way, so the investigations will be proceeded in both, incident and accident, conditions.
WHY!?
Continuing.
According to the informations coming from the reporter in Itagashi City, on the day 16th, before 9 o'clock in the morning, a cell phone drowned in the toilet of the school located in the town. The drowned cell phone was purchased only 2 weeks ago, and it was in conditions of not having any scratch. Immediately after the classes had finished, the user of the cell took it to the cell phone shop, but the cell phone was already flooded and it was given a diagnosis that it'll need a surgery of emergency. 10 days for the fully recover and there is also the risk for the memory to suffer from the sequel of the injuries. The owner of the cell is currently using a substitute borrowed from the store. This user was in a hurry because the class was going to start, and the only salvation was that the user dropped it after flushing the toilet. That's what was reported.
Well, well, I agree with that.
Aiba Masako-san from Niigata-ken was washing her face with soap at the bathroom, holding her breath, but she felt out of breath and breathed through nose. The soap came into her nose and she suffered from a great pain. Masako-san warned to take care with soup.
This may happen, sometimes.
Chirori-san from Aichi-ken, on her 18 years old birthday on April 20th, received many presents, like a drumstick, T back, among others. But some unidentified person sent a package written "Finally a mummy of tsuchinoko was found out!" What was inside the package isn't possible to know through Chirori-san's e-mail, but when Chirori-san opened the package, she was so surprised and her eyes were tearing.
Tsuchinoko?? Doesn't it sound sort of perverted? That package?
Let me continue. Continuing...
A 22 years old teacher whose name is Sakurai Sho was admitted at a school located in Inage of Chiba City. This was revealed by an e-mail from Kyochi-san, a student who is frequenting that junior high school. It's also said that there is a person called Kojima Yoshio in the junior high OB. Teacher Sakurai Sho teaches Social Studies, he's responsible for the soccer club of the school, and he's from Hanamigawa. But he doesn't look like Sakurai Sho-kun of Arashi, in any way.
Sugoi! The kanji are the same too! 22 years old. So there are people with the same sex and same name. Heee... And he teaches Social Studies. I wonder if some Aiba Masaki won't pop up, having the same sex and the same name.
Well, today there were only very tiny news again. I... How can I say... I really don't know how to read them in a news-like way. In any way! This is really difficult... That's why Ogura-san, for example, is impressive... But maybe Ogura-san also doesn't make in a news-like way... I think he doesn't do, does he?
staff: Tomoaki-san?
Yes, Tomoaki-san...
(Ogura Tomoaki-san, our beloved Ogu-san in Shukudaikun ^^, is the caster in a TV program called Tokudane broadcasted by Fuji TV, but this is not exactly a news program, it's more like a wide show, bringing informations about famous people, events and happenings.)
staff: (.....)
Yes, since he doesn't read news so often...
Well, this is surprising. It's difficult.
They're so small happenings, that it irritates me while reading. When I can't read. Shit. I'll do my best to don't be defeated by this corner! So everybody, if you have a news that caught your attention, or a news that surprised you, please send them to this corner, to the MMC News.
Mail address is arashi@joqr.net or mail box 〒105-8002 文化放送「嵐・相葉雅紀のレコメン!アラシリミックス」!
So here I would like you to listen to a song by Arashi. "Kimi no tame ni boku ga iru" by Arashi.
.....Kimi no tame ni boku ga iru.....
It was "Kimi no tame ni boku ga iru" from Arashi!
Now WISH by Arashi.
.....WISH.....
O: paio-tsu kaide na, derumo no chan-nee mo kiiteru!
(What a big breast, model gals are also listening it!)
A: REALLY?? (maji de??)
A/O: Arashi・Aiba Masaki no Rekomen! Arashi Remix!
(Oshiete, Aibachan!) Tell us, Aibachan!!
I'll answer to the questions I received from the listeners by e-mails and letters! Here we go. Today we received a lot, as always. So, really thank you very much!
Firstly... I'll start from this one.
Eee... I received this from Saitama-ken, pen name Pink-chan! Arigatou gozaimasu!
Eee... I'm sending you an e-mail for the first time. I became a high school student from this Spring, and I joined the dance club of the school. But since I'm still at the 1st year, I have to run 5km everyday and after that, do the strength training. Only at the last few hours, my senpai teaches some steps of dance. Honestly, I want to be able to dance well soon. Aibachan, did you join a club activity when you were at junior high or at high school? And if you actually joined one, how did you manage to overcome the sad and tough moments? Please tell me.
Alright. Heee... How surprising! The dance club is practically strength training?
So there is a dance club. At my age, there wasn't. Dance club at high school? It looks like a circle.
staff: I suppose it's not a ballroom dance, right?
Yes, I suppose it's not a ballroom dance... Since she's saying "kakkoii"... But well... Ballroom dance may also be kakkoii... I suppose there are various genres in that dance club.
staff: (I can't listen what he said...)
Yes, yes, yes, doing such thing... Eeeh... This is amazing. And she told that they run 5km everyday.
Well, I was in the basketball club. And I was obliged to run everyday too.
If you arrive late for the training early in the morning, then during the training after classes, you are told to make 5 rounds around the school outside, and join the training only after doing that. But since they don't check if we ran or not, there were always many people who swindled. Huum. There was a shortcut if you pass through inside the school, so there were people who did it too.
But the main point is that those activities like running and strength training, they're all a battle with yourself. So if now you have to run 5km everyday, I think it'll certainly bring strength for you. So Pink-chan, ganbatte kudasai. (Please do your best.)
How did you manage to overcome tough or sad moments?
It's the willpower! If you stay thinking negatively, it won't work. So let's go ahead, always forward! Ne, Pink-chan? Ne?
Hai! So I would like to go to the next question.
Eee... This is from Kanagawa-ken, Hiromi-chan. Pen name... radio name Hiromi-chan... No, it's Romi-chan! I received this from Romi-chan. Arigatou gozaimasu!
Eee... In this Spring, I became a worker. With my first salary which I'm going to receive in May, I want to gift something to my parents, but I can't think of anything. If it was Aibachan, what you would gift? And have you ever gave?
Aaah... First salary ne... It's quite memorable. The first salary. I still remember about mine. Of one summer.
staff: Was it the first salary of when you were at Johnny's Junior?
Yes, yes, because besides Johnny's I've never worked in other places, like a part-time job and such. I still remember about it, but I think I didn't buy anything... I have an impression that I just saved it in the way it was. And I created a bank account at that time.
I wonder what could it be. I wonder what would be good to give.
What would be good?
staff: Have you ever gave a present to your parents?
I already gave presents to my parents many times. When I go overseas on location, for example, I usually buy a souvenir which is sold only at overseas, and it includes some expensive stuff and cheap things as well. I usually buy such things there.
But I think that... How can I say... I think what's better is... Those things that you can have and keep with you forever.
staff: As a present that my son/daughter bought for me with his/her first salary.
Huum... Then it'll be more easy for the mother to say...
staff: Or something that doesn't break.
Things that don't break ne.
staff: (.....)
I think so. Then maybe we should choose a hat?
staff: (Again, I can't listen what he said... Where is Otsuka-kun to talk to Aibachan and answer his questions... T___T damn...)
It doesn't break, so we should choose a hat. A hat is nice. Or maybe her mother doesn't wear hats? If she doesn't wear hats, then choose an accessory. So she can have it with her forever. So please do it ne, Romi-chan.
Let me continue. The next is from... Eee... This is from Tochigi-ken, pen name Rumi-chan.
KonAiba!
KonAiba!
On to the main topic, during the previous episode of this corner, Aibachan was asking "Where is Tochigi??", but was it serious or just a joke? It made me really sad.
I guess she must be angry ne... I'm sorry, Rumi-chan. When I asked where is Tochigi... Well, if I say that it was a joke, it was a joke... But if I call it a fiction, then it may be a fiction...
But I know quite a lot of things about Tochigi yo! I know that there is the Nikko, and I also went there. To Nikko. And also the Nasu Kougen, I used to go there every year when I was a child. As a family trip. Nasu Kougen, right? What else? The gyoza of Utsunomiya! It's very good ne. I know many things, so don't be so angry and please continue supporting this Aiba Masaki ne.

Your partner was Aiba Masaki! See you next week!! Bye bye!!
-END-
I was really in doubt whether to translate this week's Rekomen or not. I almost gave up in the middle many times. It's so hard to believe that we won't hear Otsuka-san's voice during Rekomen anymore. Some people may think that I sound exaggerated, but this news was really shocking for me. I was looking through some Japanese blogs, and reading so many entries and comments about Otsuka-san, really made me cry. Otsuka-san was such an adorable person. I start to cry whenever I remember about the funny talks between Otsuka-kun and Aibachan, Aibachan teasing him, Otsuka-kun laughing, and how Otsuka-kun and Aibachan did get along very well. All those jingles played during the program were the jingles that Aibachan and Otsuka-kun recorded together. To hear Otsuka-san's voice in those jingles really broke me down. If this news was so sad for us, fans, who knew Otsuka-kun only by listening to him in the radio, for Aibachan who was in touch with him so often, it must be a lot more tough. Although Aibachan was trying his best to hide his sadness and keep the program going on in high tension, I can view him trying to hold his tears. For each thing that Aibachan reads, I couldn't stop thinking about what Otsuka-kun would say or how he would react.
Otsuka-san... Thank you so much for everything that you did, for making Rekomen so funny and cheerful, for helping and taking care of Aibachan.
I was reading some Japanese fans' blogs, and some of them reported about this night's Rekomen... I'm still so shocked and I don't know what to say... I didn't listen to Rekomen yet, so I don't know any details, but there was a sad announcement tonight. Otsuka-san passed on yesterday. It was so sudden. I can't believe, he was so young, always laughing with Aibachan. I'm afraid of listening to this week's Rekomen, I'm afraid of hearing Aibachan's sad voice. I'll miss Otsuka-san...
Can't wait to watch it!!! This week's Gakkou e Ikou MAX was super funny and I couldn't stop laughing the whole time when I was watching it, but next week's seems to be even more interesting! XD
I can't believe that "girl" is actually a boy! These boys are much more beautiful and cute than many girls!!
Jumping to a completely different subject... ^^;; I've been listening non-stop to "Take me faraway" and "Hello Goodbye" alternately, in repeat mode!! I looove them!! I think they're my favourite songs in the new album! "Take me faraway" is so beautiful and Ohchan's voice is so so so beautiful too!! Really love this song since the first time I listened to it! And "Hello Goodbye" is so cute and so Aibachan style! Can't choose which one I like more! ^^
嵐・相葉雅紀のレコメン!アラシリミックス 2008.04.18
Opening mail
Aibachan was asked about what kind of seasoning does he like. Aibachan likes mayonnaise! And he likes to add shichimi and shoyu to mayonnaise.
Do-S ba Masaki's Sermon Room!!
Another new corner starting from this week! Aibachan yelling and trying to be do-S is very funny!!! XD though I think it sounds kinda... huum... artificial? But I like when he shouts "Bakayaroo!!" XDD Must listen it!!
Oshiete Aibachan!
- Aibachan likes to watch a TV show called "Suiyou Doudeshou" and a listener, who is a fan of this show as well, asked Aibachan how did he get to know about the program.
- As we all know, Aibachan likes to play imitating "Jaws" when he goes to onsen with the members. ^^ Onsen is a place to relax and get rid of tiredness, but he usually goes out from there more tired than he was XD
- If Aibachan would work in a part-time job, what he would like to challenge?
Words in blue are my observations.
As always, many many thanks to aibaland for the audio file.
You can lock the cell phone, but don't lock your heart! Arashi! Aiba Masaki no Rekomen Arashi Remix!
Aiba-chan: Konbanwa! Arashi no Aiba Masaki de~su!! This time a new corner is starting again!
Otsuka-kun: So it means that?
A: Yes! Shall we announce it? Or let's save the surprise for later? What do you prefer?
O: Let's announce it!
A: No, let's look forward to it. Hahaha!
A: So firstly, let's start from an e-mail.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
O: We received it from Chiba-ken... Chiba-ken, radio name Saki-chan!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibachan, Otsuka-san konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: Eee... During the previous broadcast, you guys were talking about visiting a soy-sauce factory.
A: Oh! We talked about it!
O: Well, I'm from Noda, in Chiba-ken, so of course I went to visit there when I was at elementary school.
A: Oh!
O: Even when I'm at home, depending on the direction of the wind, sometimes I can feel the smell of soy-sauce.
A: Heee...
O: Here I have a question to Aibachan.
A: Hai.
O: Aibachan, what kind of seasoning do you like? And also, do you have a way which is different from the other people, to taste or put the seasoning?
A: Me...
O: I see...
A: Wait, what "I see..."??
O: Hai.
A: I really like the mayonnaise!
O: Mayonnaise?
A: I really like to add shichimi or soy-sauce to the mayonnaise. (Shichimi is a mix of spices)
O: I understand, I understand!
A: Do you? It's delicious, isn't it?
O: Yes! To put not only mayonnaise over "kara-age", for example.
A: Add shichimi...
O: And add soy-sauce too.
A: Yes yes! How is it called? Shoyu-mayonnaise?
O: Maybe "shoyu-mayo-shichimi".
A: Shoyu-mayo-shichimi?
A: Hahaha! Shoyu-mayo! Shoyu-mayo is delicious, isn't it?
O: That's indeed delicious.
A: Really good.
O: You can eat everything with that.
A: For example, squid.
O: Yes, squid. Aaah! I agree.
A: That's the best.
O: Hai.
A: Huuum... Amazing...
O: When those 3 "brothers" are put together, it becomes really good.
A: If you add garlic it becomes even more tasteful. Have you ever tried it?
O: I never tried.
A: That's really good. What else... Try adding various kinds of things, everything will match.
O: Hahaha!!
A: Curry powder, for example.
O: Curry powder?
A: Everything matches! Really delicious! So please, I would like you to try it.
O: Yes.
A: Hai! So let's start this week's Arashi! Aiba Masaki's Rekomen Arashi Remix!
A: Again... Konbanwa! It's Aiba Masaki from Arashi! This program is broadcasted to the national network, having Tokyo Hamamatsu's Bunka Housou as the key station.
A: Quickly, I would like to play tonight's first song.
A: So please listen, "Move your body" by Arashi.
.....Move your body.....
A: Yabai! Me ga juuketsu shiteru!
(Oh no! My eyes are red!)
O: Radio desu.
(Don't forget that this is a radio.)
A: Ah, that's true... Arashi・Aiba Masaki no Rekomen! Arashi Remix!
Do-S ba Masaki's Sermon Room!!
A: In my right hand, a whip! In my left hand, love! Sinners! Your name is young people. Do-S ba Masaki's job is to direct correctly that weak youth which makes young people to commit sins! Welcome to the do-S ba Masaki's Sermon Room!
A: The new corner is starting!
O: Finally it's starting.
A: I think I'll need energy for this!
O: Yes, you'll!
A: I think I'll spend a great amount of calories today! Can I truly get angry?
O: Yes!
A: Alright! It means that there are some people who want to be scolded!
O: Yes. And today we already received from those do-M people...
A: Hahaha!! Alright! M-san!
O: We received many.
A: So I'll change into a S-san... I'll!
O: Please, go ahead in do-S mode.
A: All right. So introduce the sinners of today!
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
O: Hai! Eee... The first sinner. Eee... We received this from Ibaragi-ken. radio name Mii-chan!
O: KonAiba! Something that I can't avoid even if I'm scolded to not to do, is the habit of sticking to someone. I always stick to the person that I like. Although it's something relatively cheap, if the person who I like says that he wants something, I'll gift it immediately. The other day, he was asking for my favourite game soft, and I couldn't help giving it to him. My friends always scold me, telling me to stop doing such thing, but if the person who I like looks happy, I can't resist giving a present. Aibachan, please scold me.
A: BAKAYAROO!!! Giving game soft??? Are you by any chance thinking that you're Takahashi Meijin???
O: Fufufu...
A: Hai! That's it! Although I understand her feeling of wanting to gift a game soft.
O: Although we understand...
A: Nee?? It's difficult to find my tension in this corner...
O: Hahaha!! But it's hard to find a so do-S Aiba-san.
A: Huuum...
O: I'm sure that she'll correct her habit.
A: Really?
O: Yes.
A: So should I go once again?
O: Yes.
A: Stop giving game soft!!!!! Are you thinking that you're Takahashi Meijin?
A: Hai... Let's continue...
O: Arigatou gozaimasu!
A: Hai...
O: Continuing... The next sinner.
A: Hai. Let's go.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
O: We received this from Fukuoka-ken, radio name "These muscles are gati gati!" san.
A: Hahahaha!!!
O: Aibachan konAiba! I'm writing this e-mail for the new topic. I always click my fingers and whatever joint of the body, like "poki poki". It became a habit and I can't stop doing it so easily. I'm always scolded by my parents. So Aibachan, please yell at me like "I don't like girls who do such thing!".
A: BAKAYAROO!!! What are thinking, to do "poki poki" with your joints?? Are you Giant?? (Giant is a character from Doraemon.)
O: Hahahaha!!
A: Either that, or are you a body re-adjusting specialist???
A: I think this one wasn't necessary, the last one...
O: Hahahaha!!
A: I should have stopped at "Giant"...
O: Hahaha!!
A: But I understand it! That she wants to do "poki poki".
O: But do you think it's normal to do it?
A: But it's said that if you do it, the joints of the fingers will become thicker.
O: Yes, it's said.
A: It's said, right?
O: Yes.
A: So if you think about it, you'll stop doing such thing.
O: I think so. Especially for girls.
A: Yes yes yes.
A: Well, let's continue...
O: Fufu! The next sinner is...
A: Hai!
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
O: We received this from Iwate-ken, radio name "Your mother seems to have an awkward navel" san.
A: Hahahaha!!
A: Aaah... I'm losing my will of scolding...
O: I would like to ask people to not send radio names that can affect the character.
A: Hahaha!! That was funny.
O: Aibachan konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: Since when I was a child, I have a habit that I can't stop even if the others keep calling my attention. Are you usually wearing socks before going to sleep? I'm too lazy of taking these socks to the washing machine, so I have the habit of accumulating them under the bed. My mother always scold me asking why there are less socks. In the beginning I was doing that because of my laziness, but now it became a habit. I really want to correct this habit, so do-S ba Masaki-san, scold me please.
A: BAKAYAROOO!!! It's only a few meters to the washing machine, and yet you feel lazy?? How many square metres does your house have?
O: Hahahaha!!
A: Is it so far to go to the washing machine?? Walk!! Walk!! Think of your health!
A: But I understand her situation.
O: Me too!
O: And also, those socks accumulated in the bedroom... If they're from 2 days before, it's possible to use them once again.
A: Hum... Maybe they won't be smelly.
O: Yes.
A: I understand her feeling. Maybe we feel that 2 or 3 meters seem to be about 200 meters.
O: I agree.
A: Do you?
O: Yes.
A: But I still think that it's better to correct this habit. Especially if it's the bedroom of a girl.
O: I think so.
A: Hum... I would like you to stop doing this.
A: Let's continue.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
O: Continuing! The next sinner is Yui-chan from Fukuoka-ken.
O: Aibachan konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: I have something that...
A: Wait a moment! I'm not "Aibachan" now, not during this corner. And I also should not answer.
O: You're right.
A: It's a little confusing because it's the first time. Let's repeat. Once again.
O: We received this from Yui-chan of Fukuoka-ken!
O: Do-S ba san! KonAiba! I have something that I can't stop doing. It is, to smell the feet. It's not stinky, but I can't help smelling. Do-S ba san, please scold me!
A: BAKAYAROOOOO!!! What are you thinking, to smell the feet?? Are you a foot sommelier???
A: Haaaaa..... (<--- so cute ^____^)
O: Hahahaha!!
A: Aaah... But I can understand it.
O: Me too.
A: I really can relate to this. Even if it's not smelly, even if actually it's not smelly, you start to think that it is smelly. So you'll check it many times.
O: I agree.
A: And don't you think that if you notice that it's a little smelly, then it rises your tension?
O: Hai...
A: On the contrary.
O: Hai.
A: On the contrary, your tension goes high and you'll check it repeatedly.
O: Haha!
A: I wonder why...
O: Maybe we'll naturally smell...
A: So maybe there is no problem if you don't do such thing in front of the others.
O: Huum... I see...
A: What do you think? If you do it in front of the others, you'll give people a fright.
O: I think so. If my girlfriend starts to...
A: Hahaha!! If she comes in, saying "Ojama shimasu!" and at the moment she sits down, she...
O: She'll smell her foot? Hahaha!!
A: Smelling her feet. Acting like a sommelier? Hahahaha!!
O: Hahaha!!
A: The feet sommelier. She'll know various kinds of feet.
O: Hai.
A: Like "This is ○○ kun's!"
O: Like "I wanna be your sommelier!"
A: Hahahaha!! Well, I understand that situation, I really can relate to this. Huum... Otsuka-kun, are you the type that usually smell your foot? Or not?
O: I think I have this habit of smelling...
A: Me... I think I usually smell the shoes. Not the foot.
O: Aaah...
A: Hummm... Boots are more easy to become smelly, aren't they?
O: I agree.
A: More easy, right? And women usually wear more boots. I wonder if there is a way to avoid that smell. Ah! Maybe to put some charcoal in the shoes.
O: Hahaha!!! A very particular way...
A: We usually put some charcoal in the refrigerator.
O: Yes.
A: So in the same way, if you put some charcoal inside... maybe it'll work.
O: I see...
A: Then maybe she'll stop smelling her feet.
O: Hai.
A: Hai! So... Sinner people... We'll still continue this corner from now on. The sermon room. It's quite tough for me... How many times I became angry today?
O: Four times today.
A: What did you like the most?
O: Today...
A: From my way of becoming angry.
O: Well, I liked the "feet sommelier" thing...
A: Hahahaha!!
O: But I also liked the "how many square metres".
A: Aaah... High class home.
O: Yes.
A: I thought "Takahashi Meijin" was also nice.
O: It's nostalgic, isn't it?
A: Nostalgic indeed.
O: Specially for our age.
A: That's true.
O: His image is like if he was a god.
A: I agree. And that person who can't help giving game soft to the person she likes.
O: That's true.
A: Hum... But it's said that even the most tiny things, if you join many of them, they may become something valuable.
O: That's true.
A: Huum... But it's still better to take care!
O: Hai.
A: That's what I think. But since this is something that she's doing for her own will, she must take the responsibility by herself. Giving or not giving, it doesn't matter.
O: Hahaha!!
A: Hai! We'll still continue this corner from now on, so everybody, please write something that you want to be scolded and send it to this program! Mail address is arashi@joqr.net or mail box 〒105-8002 文化放送「嵐・相葉雅紀のレコメン!アラシリミックス」!!
A: Do you wanna have dinner? Or do you rather take a bath? Or maybe... Arashi・Aiba Masaki no Rekomen! Arashi Remix!
(gohan ni suru? ofuro ni suru? so-re-to-mo... Arashi・Aiba Masaki no Rekomen! Arashi Remix!)
(Oshiete, Aibachan!) Tell us, Aibachan!!
A: I'll answer to the questions I received from the listeners by e-mails and letters. Let's go?
O: Let's go!
A: Let's start. Now that "do-S ba" went off.
O: Please don't tell them in do-S mode!
A: Alright! Of course I won't say "Bakayarooo!!"
O: Hahaha!
A: Don't worry.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
O: We received this from Saitama-ken, "KonAiba! I always look forward to listen to your radio with my little sister every week." san!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: On to the main topic, I have a question.
A: Hai!
O: The other day I read in a magazine a question asking "What's the TV show that you like?" and Aibachan answered "Suiyou Doudeshou" to this question, right? ("Suiyou Doudeshou", or "How do you like Wednesday?" in English, is the name of the TV show.)
A: Yes.
O: Actually my entire family is a big fan of "Suiyou Doudeshou" too.
A: Oh!
O: Aibachan, from where did you know about "Suiyou Doudeshou"? Please tell me.
A: I knew from DVD. I watched the DVD of "Suiyou Doudeshou" which is sold only at the convenience stores. It's very funny!
O: It's very funny indeed.
A: The first time I watched it, was the final episode in Vietnam.
O: Oh.
A: That one was extraordinary.
O: Hahaha!
A: Really! And it was so funny. He arrives longitudinally by moped. He's riding the bicycle, but if you see the meter it's showing 0km.
O: Haha!
A: He arrives longitudinally in such kind of moped. The helmet was already screwed up. Then I was thinking like "Aaah... Is it possible to become like THIS?"
A: And it's also possible to see how the city of Vietnam looks like.
A: With Oizumi-san and...
O: Yes, Oizumi Yo-san.
A: And the talk between him and the other person, with the president, is also really funny. Hum... It's wonderful.
O: Well, I would like to recommend watching it for the other listeners too.
A: Yes... If you have a chance to. Hum... That's it. Let's continue.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
O: Continuing! We received this from radio name Seri-chan!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibachan konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: This topic may be kinda embarrassing, but seems that when Aibachan goes to onsen together with the members, it's possible to affirm that you always play "Jaws" using that part of the body that only boys have. Is it true? Please tell me.
A: It's not always! There are days when I'm tired too.
O: Hahaha! That's true. It would look like the Jaws is walking alone...
A: When I'm genki/excited, I'll do like "de dein!... de dein!... de de de de de dein!!" But when I'm tired, I take bath very quietly. And when I'm tired, I basically don't go to "sentou". (a type of Japanese communal bathhouse where customers pay for entrance)
O: Hahaha! But isn't it good to go to onsen when you're tired?
A: Better saying, the objective of going to onsen is to relax and get rid of tiredness. So it's not a place to stay playing "Jaws"! Hahaha!! I'm usually even more tired, when I go out from onsen...
O: I see... Hahaha!
A: Like "Today's Jaws was fine..." or "I'm the Jaws 3!", "Jaws capture!" Hahahaha!!
O: Hahahaha!!
A: Aaah... So silly... Really...
A: Let's continue.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
O: Let me continue. From Tochidi-ken, radio name...
A: Hahaha! Where is Tochidi-ken? Where is Tochidi? Where?
O: .....
A: Eh!?
A: What do you mean by "edit"??
O: Hahaha!!
A: It won't be edited!
O: Tochigi-ken! We received this from radio name Toutomu-san!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibachan konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: I'm a College student and I'm working hard at my part-time job.
A: Oh!
O: After starting to work, I knew how valuable is a "100yen".
A: Oh, oh, oh...
O: Aibachan, if you would do a part-time job, what kind of work would you like to challenge? Please tell me!
A: Aaah... Part-time job...
O: 100yen is very important, isn't it?
A: Of course it is.
O: Hai.
A: Money is something that it's never a loss to have. To spend money is so fast...
O: I agree.
A: It's so easy to spend.
O: Hai.
A: But to earn money is so hard. Huum...
O: And what kind of part-time job?
A: I wonder...
A: There was one that I heard it's very good... Ah! It's that one! Who was saying that... Matsushima-san of Othello was saying that. Seems that the salary of the part-time job of solving customer's claim, is very high.
(Othello is a female comedy duo, Nakajima Tomoko and Matsushima Nahomi, they're regular on "Himitsu no Arashi chan")
O: Heee...
A: But people can't stand this job for more than 1 month, because of too much stress.
O: Hahaha!! I understand... Staying all time on the phone...
A: Full time on the phone. To solve the claims that the company receives.
O: Hum.
A: But what type of person you're? Do you prefer higher salary even if it means that you may harm your health? Comparing to a job where you'll earn a lower salary, but you won't need to work so hard. Slow type or aggressive type, which one?
O: For me, I prefer the "aggressive" type.
A: Aaah... Same as me.
O: Hai.
A: I'm like this too. So I prefer working in a food stall during midnight, to work in a convenience store, for example.
O: A long time ago, when I was at high school... Well, I'm still tiny, but when I had even less muscles than now, I thought of earning money during vacation, so I tried a part-time job in a place specialized in moving pianos. A guy who never had an experience in moving, tried it.
A: Hahahaha!! And why did you have to choose a place specialized in piano?
O: I really thought I would die... Hahaha!!
O: My arms weren't able to support, and I almost dropped it from my arms... But if I had dropped it down...
A: It would be a great trouble. Since it's an object of moving...
A: I think there are many part-time employees working in moving service. I wonder what happen if a guy like Otsuka, who is working as a part-time job, drops something fragile/valuable by accident.
O: Must refund, I think.
A: The moving service will have to refund, right? In this case, will you receive your salary? Or not?
O: Certainly you won't receive.
A: Certainly not?
O: Yes.
A: To make things worse, it'll be minus. Cause you'll have to pay instead, though you went to work.
O: Yes.
A: Haaa... So hard! But people say that working in moving is hard. My friend is now working in works at Tokyo Station.
O: Hee... At the train station.
A: Yes. And it seems that it's nice to work there. Well... I wonder what I would like to challenge.
O: I would like to try that job... to deliver mail to countries overseas. I wonder how is it called.
A: Is it a part-time job?
O: There is a job where people who have passport, and of course you must know foreign languages, deliver documents to overseas. Stuff that is allowed to deliver only in person.
A: Such thing exists? Does it exist? Eh? Isn't it possible to send by air mail?
O: No, it's truly a job.
A: A business?
O: Yes.
A: Heee... So it really exists... And the salary is high?
O: Actually the salary is not so high, but what's nice is that you'll be able to visit various countries. Cause you're free to spend at least half a day doing what you want.
A: Aaah... I see...
O: Yes.
A: That would be nice. Very nice indeed.
O: The only problem is that I can't speak English.
A: Huum... But maybe you can find a way to get rid of it. Not?
O: Haha!
A: Haaa... There are so many kinds of job.
A: So we're waiting for your weird questions! Mail address is arashi@joqr.net or mail box 〒105-8002 文化放送「嵐・相葉雅紀のレコメン!アラシリミックス」!!

嵐・相葉雅紀のレコメン!アラシリミックス 2008.04.11
Opening mail
About the origin of the name of the "hot pants". Aibachan and Otsuka-kun were talking about it a couple of weeks ago.
MMC News
Starting the new corner! Lots of MMC news. Kinda silly but very funny!
Oshiete Aibachan!
- During Music Station 3hrs SP, why Jun-kun wasn't sitting there after the CM?
- Aibachan, how much time do you take to dress up before going to work? And also, if you know a way to dress in a short time, please tell.
- The listener asked Aibachan to tell some funny episode from Tokyo Friend Park. He just talked about getting 7 tawashi, and that Arashi beat a record of tawashi in TFP.
Ending
Otsuka-kun said that he's going to buy 5 copies of Arashi's live DVD of TIME. Aibachan said that he'll bring the invoice together with the 5 copies! XD
Words in blue are my observations.
As always, many many thanks to aibaland for the audio file.
A: Do you wanna have dinner? Or do you rather take a bath? Or maybe... Arashi・Aiba Masaki no Rekomen! Arashi Remix!
(gohan ni suru? ofuro ni suru? so-re-to-mo... Arashi・Aiba Masaki no Rekomen! Arashi Remix!)
Aiba-chan: Konbanwa! Arashi no Aiba Masaki de~su!! Today in the morning I went to play baseball, from 5:30AM till 8 o'clock in the morning.
Otsuka-kun: Haha! Otsukare sama de~su!!
A: It was so early. Then it finished at 8 o'clock, and after that, from 8:15, we had a reflection meeting.
O: Hahaha!! Like "Why you didn't hit there??"
A: Hahaha! Well, that's it. Quickly, let's start this week's program.
O: Yes.
A: Seems that we received a mail?
O: Yes, we received a mail.
A: Here we go.
O: Well, this mail is sort of related to the topic we talked about some time ago.
A: Hum.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
O: Eee... We received it from Okayama-ken, radio name Kamo-chan!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibachan konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: Eee... The other day, during the "Oshiete Aibachan" corner, you guys were talking about the origin of the name of hot pants.
A: Yes, we talked about it.
O: Yes. The origin of "hot pants" is that... Eee... This name was because the woman receives a hot glance, coming from the man. This is what it's said.
A: Heee...
O: The other day we talked about it, right?
A: As for our opinion, did we talk that only the "important part" is hot?
O: No no no! It wasn't like that. Well...
A: Hum?
O: For us, men...
A: It is hot?
O: We said that it might be hot because the topic is hot.
A: Hum.
O: And seems that it was close to the correct reason.
A: That's true.
O: Yes.
A: So that was the origin.
O: That the men take a hot glance... Well, a hot stare.
A: Heee...
O: Well, being THAT short, it is really a hot pants.
A: Huuum... Since it's almost close to wearing nothing.
O: Yes.
A: That's surprising. Well, I suppose it's going to appear again during summer season of this year. That kind of boom.
O: I'm looking forward to it.
A: Hikaru Genji san also used to wear it.
O: Hahaha!! They're men.
A: They used to do it. Oh, well... I'm also looking forward to it.
A: So let's start this week's Arashi! Aiba Masaki's Rekomen Arashi Remix!
A: Again... Konbanwa! It's Aiba Masaki from Arashi! This program is broadcasted to the national network, having Tokyo Hamamatsu's Bunka Housou as the key station.
A: Quickly, let's play tonight's first song.
O: Let's go?
A: Well, Arashi's new album. Eee... From Dream-A-live, I would like you to listen to "Niji no kanata e" by Arashi.
.....Niji no kanata e.....
Anata no mimi ni checkmate!! Arashi・Aiba Masaki no Rekomen! Arashi Remix!
(checkmate to your ear!)
MMC News
A: So from today a new corner is starting!
*clapping hands*
A: This one... It's the one we decided together during the Publishing Planning Meeting, right?
O: Yes.
A: MMC News. Its name... Well, its name... What was its meaning?
O: It's a "Mecha Mecha Chichai" news. (very very small news)
A: Hahaha!! A very very tiny news which happened around you.
O: Yes.
A: So we're going to transmit them.
O: Yes.
A: That's how the corner looks like. Eee... So I want everybody to listen it without expecting too much.
O: I agree.
A: Please don't rise the hurdle ne.
O: Hai.
A: Really! Lower the hurdle, in a way that you can almost pass even without jumping.
O: I think so ne.
A: Eee... I'm going to start reading first.
O: Hai.
A: Let's read alternately.
O: Alright.
A: Can I? I'm going to start. Here we go.
A: I'll transmit the MMC News.
A: Sawara Sake-san, a 15 years old student who lives in Kagawa-ken, passed his/her first choice high school, in this spring. The name of the school is Sakurai High School. The fact is that it doesn't have nothing to do with Arashi's Sakurai Sho-san.
A: That's so MMC, but shall we continue?
O: Yes.
O: A female student from Ibaragi-ken, "Kara-age maximum umai" san, on March 28th, about 11:24 in the evening, finished using the eraser which she has been using since 1st year of junior high. The female student told that she wants to praise herself, because she worked hard for the sake of the Earth. Any details like what grade the female student is now, or what subject she was studying, are all unknown.
A: Fufu!
A: In Kumamoto, there was an incident where a female student at the 3rd year of junior high, after her graduation ceremony, drunk water from ALL the faucets that there are at the school. According to investigations, the female student told that she, after attending the graduation ceremony, felt so sad when she thought that today was the last day of frequenting the school, that she and her friend couldn't resist and ended up doing such thing. The teacher of the junior high school, who saw that scene, asked the 2 female students if it was OK that the last thing they want to do during junior high, was THAT.
A: This is really MMC...
O: I think so.
O: The child actor Suga Kenta-san, who acted in the movie "ALWAYS - Sunset on Third Street" and TV drama "Kuitan" among others, went out with fellow actors, to the leisure park Disney Sea located in Urayasu City of Chiba-ken, and was harrassed by junior high student girls, who asked for handshake and asked to take a photo together. That girl is a junior high student from Ishikawa-ken, identified as radio name Riri. According to investigations, she graduated elementary school, so she took a bus and came with her friend to the Disney Sea. Then she reported that she was so happy when she saw a famous person, that she couldn't contain her excitement. Although he was spending his private time, Suga-san kindly answered to the handshaking and photoshooting, and after that, he didn't forget to promote the movie he'll appear, telling that "We four are going to be in the upcoming movie called "Shinizokonai no Ao", so please watch it ne!".
A: Sugoi!
O: Sugoi indeed!
A: What a really nice person ne.
O: Yes.
A: Haaa... Let me continue.
A: Zenmai Samurai-san, who lives in Souka City of Saitama-ken, managed to complete 20 units of the point card stamp of a takoyaki restaurant located in the neighbourhood.
O: Fufufu!
A: Hahaha! With this, Zenmai Samurai-san had the opportunity of receiving a portion of takoyaki as a present. She told that "I've always been waiting for this day. I'm so happy." and then showed off a smile with aonori stuck on the front teeth. (aonori are flakes of "nori" sprinkled over takoyaki, okonomiyaki, etc)
O: Hahaha!! Continuing.
O: According to the report of the correspondent Azusa-san from Shizuoka-ken, it was found out that the DVD of Arashi is displayed in the Humour/Comedy section of a rental video store at Hamamatsu City.
A: Hahahaha!!
O: The DVD is "C no Arashi / D no Arashi / G no Arashi", broadcasted on Nihon TV, and it is lined up in the letter "A" of the alphabet among the humouristic/comedy artists.
A: Hahaha!! Aaah... I don't have nothing to do with that, but this is kinda frustrating.
A: An incident happened on March 31st, when a woman who was watching Sekiguchi Hiroshi's Tokyo Friend Park broadcasted by TBS, couldn't stop nosebleeding. The woman is "Maximum Happiness" san, who lives in Nagano-ken, and apparently the reason for her nosebleeding is the idol group Arashi, who was participating in the program. Happiness-san told that "It was my first time that I had my nose bleeding. Arashi was so kakkoii when they were singing, that I couldn't help nosebleeding." The nosebleed finally stopped after 20 minutes, and didn't cause any deep damages.
A: That was the MMC News.
A: Oh, well... There were so many MMC.
O: Yes, there were.
A: Here and there... Or better saying, for me all of them are.
O: Hahaha!
A: Really tiny news.
O: Yes, they make us laugh after few seconds.
A: Yes, a little later.
O: Yes.
A: Like a body blow...
A: Well, within those 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 that we read today...
O: Hai.
A: The most... Eee... The most MMC news, let's decide the MMMC news?
O: Hai.
A: For the most outstanding person, we'll send a most tiny thing.
O: Hahaha! Hai.
A: Ne?
O: We can't tell it yet.
A: We can't tell it yet. Eee... Which one, which one? What?
O: Just my opinion, but that one of super idol Arashi being in the letter "A" of the alphabet among comedian artists.
A: Aaah... That one also caught my attention.
O: Hahaha!
A: Although it's very tiny.
O: Hai.
A: It's kinda surprising.
O: Yes, it is.
A: So maybe it'll be that one. Either that, or Suga Kenta-kun. He's such a nice boy ne.
O: I agree.
A: But then the scale will going to increase. If it's about Suga Kenta-kun.
O: I think so.
A: Either that, or personally, I also would choose the takoyaki point card. I liked it.
O: I agree.
A: But well, this time let's choose that person who wrote about "C no Arashi / D no Arashi / G no Arashi" of Arashi being in the letter "A" of the alphabet among comedian artists.
O: Azusa-chan from Shizuoka-ken, right?
A: Azusa-chan is the MMMC! Yeey!!
*clapping hands*
A: Let's send something to Azusa-chan!
O: Alright.
A: What will arrive is a surprise, please wait with anticipation.
O: Hai.
A: So, well, I would like to continue with this corner. Please send us your really tiny news. Mail address is arashi@joqr.net or mail box 〒105-8002 文化放送「嵐・相葉雅紀のレコメン!アラシリミックス」!!
A: So that was the MMC News!
A: I'll answer to the questions I received from the listeners by e-mails and letters. So this week we also have something that they want me to tell.
O: Yes. Many of them asking to tell them.
A: Shall we tell them many things? So let's tell them!
O: Hai.
A: Let's start.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
O: We received it from Chiba-ken, radio name "Aibaba Bye" san.
A: Hai! Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibachan konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: I watched Music Station the other day.
A: Oh! Thank you very much!
O: I was sitting in front of the TV all the time, even during the CM.
A: Hum.
O: I was surprised when I saw that Jun-kun wasn't there after the CM.
A: Ah, after coming back from the CM ne.
O: Yes.
A: Hooo...
O: Then I was talking to my mother, that maybe he went to the toilet. I was curious about it, so please tell me.
A: Hahaha! It was because our turn was coming, so it was to prepare for our turn, I think.
O: Aaah... In advance.
A: Hum. I think so. Well, me...
O: Hai.
A: It was a 3 hours special.
O: Hai.
A: Eee... But I went to the toilet 30 minutes after the program has started.
O: Hahaha!
A: I thought I could bear for 3 hours, but it last for only 30 minutes. Then I went to the toilet but I came back in time. I went and came back really quickly.
O: I suppose the toilet was near.
A: It was near. And I also went twice.
O: Hahahaha!!
A: In 3 hours.
O: Hai.
A: Don't you think that 3 hours are quite long? If you think.
O: It's long indeed.
A: But then, when we're there, I don't feel that it's so long. Since we're watching there, at the VIP seat.
O: Aaah... Together with various artists.
A: Various artists, yes. So I really enjoy that time we spend there. The time when we're waiting. It was really enjoyable. Eee... Let's continue.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
O: Continuing. We received it from "Chiki-chiki-chicken" san of Saitama-ken.
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibachan, Otsuka-kun konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: I always enjoy listening to your radio every week. On to the main topic, I always take a long time to dress me up before going out.
A: Hum.
O: So I have a question to Aibachan. Aibachan, how much time do you take to dress up before going to work? And also, if you know a way to dress in a short time, please tell me.
A: I see. I usually wake up about 1 hour before leaving home.
O: So you're kinda fast.
A: Do you think so? Because of the shower time.
O: Haha! Shower?
A: I always take a shower in the morning.
O: Shower, brushing teeth...
A: Brushing, dressing...
O: Hai.
A: Drink coffee...
O: Drink coffee...
A: And then go. So at least 1 hour is necessary for me.
O: Of course to do all the things, you'll need 1 hour.
A: Huum... That's it.
O: Hai.
A: But well, I think there are so many ways to go out earlier. I can leave in 5 minutes.
O: Hahaha!!
A: When I'm late.
O: Hai.
A: So as a way to leave home quickly, maybe the best is to...
O: Hai.
A: Well, I used to do it...
O: Hai.
A: When I was a student, I used to sleep wearing uniform.
O: Hahaha!!
A: This is really good.
O: Waaa... Can't beat it, I think.
A: Isn't it?
O: Yes.
A: Already wearing uniform, the Y-shirt and such.
O: Without paying much attention if it's wrinkled or not.
A: Hahaha!! I don't mind. Hanging there only the blazer.
O: Hai.
A: Then pants and Y-shirt.
O: On the next day, if you're already dressed in the day before.
A: Yes, if you're previously dressed and prepare your bag in the day before... Ah! But for the girls, they also have to make-up, I think.
O: Yes, of course.
A: But what's her name? Is she a student? If she's a student, probably she doesn't use make-up.
O: Ah, but we can't take any hint by the name "Chiki-chiki-chicken" san...
A: I think so ne. But I guess she likes the chiki-chiki machine, don't you think so?
O: Hai.
A: So maybe she's an OL-san.
O: Looks like OL.
A: Don't you think that it's quite hard to find a student who knows the chiki-chiki machine?
(I'm not sure but seems that chiki-chiki machine is the name of a game.)
O: I think so. If it's at that age, she must be an OL-san.
A: Then what about doing the make-up before going to sleep?
O: Aaah!! But it's quite tough for the skin, isn't it??
A: Tough...
O: Yes... Can I say my technique too?
A: Go ahead.
O: I... Well, I also usually arrive at very short notice in the meeting place, or arrive like 10 minutes late.
A: Ah, a little bit late ne. There is always someone who comes with a small delay.
O: Because of that, I always use the delay of the train as an excuse.
A: Hum.
O: But well, recently I have been doing something to avoid delays, and I would like to recommend it.
A: Oooh... What is it?
O: You know the train interchange/transfer informations?
A: Train transfer information?
O: They inform through cell phone...
A: Yes yes.
O: JR (Japan Railway), for example, is doing that.
A: Yes yes yes.
O: I usually search the route of the train that allows me to arrive 30 minutes earlier at the destination place.
A: 30 minutes earlier?
O: Yes. For example, if we're supposed to meet at 12 o'clock...
A: Hum.
O: Then I would arrive at 11:30 at the destination place. To do that...
A: Hum.
O: You can take a look at the time table...
A: Yes yes.
O: If you try to dress up in time for this, then you'll be able to arrive with a small delay.
A: I see... It's previously calculated.
O: Yes. If you do that, as a result you'll be able to arrive with 10 to 15 minutes in advance.
A: Haaa... I see...
O: Hai.
A: The time set.
O: That's it.
A: Put it earlier.
O: Everyone can do it.
A: But if you plan that, in your mind you know that you're 30 minutes in advance. So let's do something with the clock. Many people ususally do it. To bring forward the time by 5 minutes.
O: Yes.
A: But since 5 minutes are not enough, so maybe 1 hour!
O: Hahaha!!
A: Let's advance the clock by 1 hour. That way you'll never arrive late.
O: Although you'll have a long long wait at the meeting place.
A: Yes yes yes. But I think it's still a good idea.
O: Well, it's beter than being behind time.
A: Isn't it?
O: Yes.
A: I'm getting confused with those calculations, so let's go to the next one?
O: Hahaha!! Let's do it.
A: Hum.
O: Eee... Continuing.
A: Hai!
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
O: We received it from Wakayama-ken, radio name Akka-san!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Eee... I watched the Friend Park aired on March 31st.
A: Ah! Arigatou gozaimasu.
O: Aibachan really stood out!
A: Really?
O: Hai.
A: It sounded like it was said by Otsuka-kun.
O: It's not me who is saying this.
A: Thank you very much.
O: Here I have a question to Aibachan.
A: Hai.
O: Please, please, tell me about some funny episode from Friend Park!
A: Funny happenings in Friend Park?
O: Yes, since there are many kinds of games.
A: Yes, there are.
O: Hai.
A: Darts...
O: What did you guys win this time?
A: This time, TAWASHI.
O: Tawashi?
A: 7 tawashi!
O: Tawashi??
A: Everybody was so good at darts that we all hit the center of the board. We weren't able to mistake! We, Arashi, even beat the record of tawashi in Friend Park. They brought 7 tawashi... That was funny. Otsuka-kun, you also should try to appear there once.
O: I wonder if I can.
A: No no... Just go! You just need to go! Appear there! YOU! Go!
O: So maybe next month...
A: Next month, if someone called Otsuka appears there, think that he's Otsuka from Bunka Housou.
A: Hai! So we're waiting for your SEXY questions! Really? Is it true?
(laughs)

嵐・相葉雅紀のレコメン!アラシリミックス 2008.04.04
Opening mail
Who is "Otsuka-kun" afterall?? What does he do?
Omoide Shredder
- Her father was using her yellow toothbrush by mistake... Aibachan told that at his home such mistake doesn't happen coz the color of their toothbrush is fixed. Aibachan's mom uses the pink one, his dad has a dark blue one, his younger brother uses a light blue one, and Aibachan's toothbrush is always green!
- At a family restaurant, there is a place to take ice to prepare your drink. She went to take ice, and didn't realize that the place from where she was taking ice was the place where the rest of the drinks are thrown away.
- A girl who was rejected, sent a message through cell phone to her mom, telling that the boy rejected her, but she wrongly sent the message to the boy instead.
Oshiete Aibachan!
- Did you have some moment, recently, when you saw a woman and felt your heart caught by her "femininity"? In what kind of situation?
- A listener asked what kind of places Aibachan visited during student life as one of school activity.
Words in blue are my observations.
As always, many many thanks to aibaland for the audio file.
You can lock the cell phone, but don't lock your heart! Arashi! Aiba Masaki no Rekomen Arashi Remix!
Aiba-chan: Konbanwa! Arashi no Aiba Masaki de~su!!! It's already April ne.
Otsuka-kun: Yes, it is. Already.
A: Nee? This year the pollen was quite tough again. This year it was tough again. This time I...
O: Hai.
A: I take injection every year.
O: Hai.
A: But this year I had it really early.
O: Hai.
A: I think I took injection in mid-February.
O: Did you take it earlier on purpose?
A: I didn't even tried to bear, in the beginning.
O: Hahaha!
A: I thought "It (the pollen) came!" and went to take injection as soon as possible. Last year I tried to bear as much as I could.
O: Hai.
A: Because I wanted to pass 1 season with one injection only.
O: Hai.
A: So I tried to bear till my limit, and then finally had the injection. That way, in the end of the season it's all right. But this year I didn't make effort in the beginning, so during the second half, the effect of the injection started to weaken.
O: Hai.
A: It was really tough. Really!
O: Just taking injection earlier doesn't suffice.
A: Yes. So you have to bear in the beginning, or you'll have to bear in the end.
O: Hahaha! That's true.
A: Eee... This time it was tough. But well, please read the opening mail for that tough Aiba-kun.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
O: Hai. Eee... So we received it from Aichi-ken, radio name Ayaka-chan.
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibachan konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: I always enjoy listening!
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: On to the main topic... Eee... Could you please listen my naive question?
A: Yes.
O: Eee... What does Otsuka-kun do afterall?
A: Hahahaha!!
O: I mean, in the place where I live, Aibachan's radio sometimes is broadcasted, sometimes not. But when it used to be broadcasted before, Kuro-P used to be in Otsuka-kun's position, right?
A: Yes, he was.
O: Every week, in my mind, Otsuka-kun is still a mystery.
A: Hahaha!!
O: Please tell me.
A: Well... I guess it must be a mystery indeed. For the listeners, they must be wondering who is Otsuka afterall.
O: Hahaha!!
A: They must be like "He's a Johnny's??" This person!
O: Oh well...
A: Eee...
O: Well, since this kind of question came out... Actually, when I'm at work, I usually...
A: Hai. Hai. Hai.
O: You know that there are many listeners who write about this program in their blogs.
A: Yes, yes, yes.
O: I think it's something very thankful.
A: On the internet.
O: Then when I was looking through those blogs...
A: Hum.
O: When I'm searching through net, I usually type various keywords.
A: Hai. Hai. Hai.
O: Like Arashi Rekomen (space) Aiba-chan.
A: Hum.
O: Then I found out... Do you know the "Yahoo! Answers"? (In Japan it's called "Yahoo! Chiebukuro")
A: I don't know. I've never tried it.
O: There are some dorky and kinda silly questions.
A: Hum.
O: And some naive questions.
A: Hum.
O: Well, you send those questions through Yahoo!.
A: Send and...
O: And then other people will answer it for you.
A: Ah, someone will answer what they know.
O: Yes, solving the problem that way.
A: But you won't know if this answer is correct or not.
O: Yes, it doesn't mean that the answer will always be 100% correct.
A: Hum.
O: Then when I was looking through them...
A: Hum.
O: There was a question in "Yahoo! Answers" asking who is Otsuka-kun of Rekomen.
A: Oh.
O: Probably a listener sent it.
A: Hum.
O: And the answer which was chosen as the best one, was "I think he's an active College student."
A: Hahahaha!! Otsuka-kun, you're already 30, right?
O: Yes, I already have a good age...
A: You're 30 years old ne.
O: Yes.
A: Eee... And you're a writer ne.
O: Yes, I am.
A: You're from Chiba ne.
O: Yes.
A: Near my house.
O: At the next town.
A: Hahaha! That's it. Well, I suppose there were many people in doubt, with that mystery.
O: I think so ne.
A: With this, they must felt relieved now. Really.
O: Hai.
A: Quickly, I would like to play tonight's first song. Let's go. What will we play?
O: From the new album Dream-A-live.
A: Let's go.
O: So please listen, Your Song by Arashi.
.....Your Song.....
A: Yabai! Me ga juuketsu shiteru!
(Oh no! My eyes are red!)
O: Radio desu.
(Don't forget that this is a radio.)
A: Ah, that's true... Arashi・Aiba Masaki no Rekomen! Arashi Remix!
(Omoide Shredder) Memory Shredder
A: Omoide Shredder has the purpose of taking your shameful/embarrassing memories or past memories that you want to forget, and having them shredded by me, Aiba Masaki, using a shredder.
A: Did the shameful memories arrive?
O: Yes, this week there are lots of things that seem to be really shameful...
A: I think now there aren't so many. Are there?
O: Well, we received many.
A: Oh! So let's start, let's start.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
O: We received it from Saitama-ken, Momoko-chan.
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibachan, Otsuka-san, konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: The other day our entire family changed our toothbrushes for new ones. And after about 3 weeks, I saw my father using my yellow toothbrush!
A: Hahahaha!!
O: The toothbrush of his true daughter... "Dad, I can't believe..." I was shocked and told him "Dad, that's mine!". Then my father replied saying "No, this is mine! I've always been using this one!".
A: Hahahaha!!!
O: I was convinced about it because only the yellow toothbrush was strangely becoming dirty too quickly. Aibachan, please take it to the shredder.
A: Aaah...
O: Do you have such experience?
A: I don't have. Haha! The toothbrush is mine.
O: I have such experience quite often.
A: Are you serious?
O: Yes.
A: At my home we separate by colors.
O: Hai.
A: My mom's is pink.
O: Hai.
A: Then my dad's is dark blue, mine is green, and my younger brother is light blue.
O: Hai.
A: It's been always like this, so there is no way to mistake.
O: Heee...
A: Even when we buy a new one, it's in those colors, so there is no way to happen mistakes. But do you have such mistakes?
O: Yes, I have.
A: Whose toothbrush were you using?
O: Whose... Whose is this, is not defined but...
A: Hum.
O: The types and colors of those toothbrushes usually sold in convenience stores, are very limited.
A: Yes, they are.
O: So when I occasionally buy those one, it happens for my older brother to use the same one by coincidence.
A: Aaah...
O: Then I start to wonder if mine was so skew?
A: Haha! Aaah... The listener must have felt it really deeply.
O: Hai. Well, she might have felt uncomfortable with her father. Especially if she's a teenager...
A: I think so ne. But it was good that her father wasn't doing that for his own will.
O: Yes.
A: It would be a serious problem if he was doing that for his own will.
O: It would be a great problem if he was having fun in secret.
A: Hahaha!! Yes, like a joy of everyday.
O: Hai.
A: If it was like this, then it would be a serious problem, but since he's even affirming that it was his toothbrush, so I think there are no worries.
O: No worries ne.
A: Eee... We'll take it to the shredder later.
O: Hai.
A: Let's continue.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
O: Let me continue. We received it from Moe-chan of Tokyo City.
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibachan konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: Eee... Please listen my shameful memory.
A: Hai.
O: One day when I went to a family restaurant together with my family, we ordered the drink bar.
A: Hum.
O: I went to take the drink, and when I was going to take ice, a high school student girl was also there taking ice.
A: Hum.
O: Then I realized that next to the girl, there was another place where we could take ice.
A: Hum.
O: So I decided to take ice from there.
A: Hum.
O: And then, when I went to prepare drink for the second time, this time my younger brother came with me. I was going to take ice at the same previous place.
A: Hum.
O: But I realized, after my younger brother telling me, that the place where I was taking ice till now, was the place where the rest of the drink is thrown away.
A: Hahahaha!!
O: I thought it was strange that the ice was half melted and there was a few amount of ice, even so I drunk without any worries. And I was almost doing the same thing at the second time. At that time, I was full of worry, wondering if I won't end up being sick. But now, I'm full of shame thinking that the high school student girl was watching me doing such a fiasco.
A: Yes, it must be indeed embarrassing.
O: But I think it's understandable. You can end up putting your hands on it.
A: Hum. I think so ne. That's something that she must have done without realizing.
O: I think she must have thought that since many people take ice all the time at the restaurant, they couldn't avoid the ice melting.
A: Hum. I think so ne. Well, I'm glad that she didn't become sick. Really glad... We'll shred this one through shredder.
O: Hai.
A: Let's go to the last one.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
O: So the last one. We received it from Kagoshima-ken, radio name Kurumi-chan.
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibachan konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: My past that I want to throw away is something that happened after being rejected.
A: Hum.
O: When I was at the 2nd year of junior high, I was rejected by a certain boy.
A: Hum.
O: At that time, I used to talk to my mom about those stuff related to love.
A: Hum.
O: Right after being rejected by him, I sent a message to my mom.
A: Hum.
O: But then, after a few minutes, I received a message from the boy.
A: Oooh...
O: But I was telling to my mom. (laughs). At the moment when I saw that, I was blank. Yes, I thought I sent a message to my mom, but actually I sent the message wrongly to the boy instead.
A: Aaah...
O: It's a shameful memory that I can't forget till now.
A: Haaa...
O: It hurts ne.
A: Yes, it hurts.
O: Besides being rejected and feeling down... The boy read the content of her message telling to her mom...
A: He read everything... It really hurts.
O: Yes, it hurts.
A: Her mother... but why did she have to message her mother? I suppose she lives with her mother.
O: I think so.
A: So it was better to talk to her when they met each other.
O: I think so.
A: Well, it's just a hypothesis.
O: Hai.
A: But I wonder if the boy who read it, didn't felt moved after looking at it... I wonder.
O: I wonder too.
A: Well, I think it depends on what was written too.
O: But the boy who replied to the message is also insensitive.
A: Insensitive indeed. He could have pretended that he didn't know.
O: Well, he's the side who rejected her...
A: I think for the girl, it would be more gentle of him if he pretended that he didn't know and ignored it.
O: I agree.
A: Hum... But well, this is not exactly shameful, this is painful.
O: Kinda dark...
A: Yes, a painful memory.
O: Hai.
A: All those memories, let's shred all of them.
O: Hai.
(wiiiiinn...)
A: Good bye, shameful past!! That was the "Omoide Shredder"!
A: Do you wanna have dinner? Or do you rather take a bath? Or maybe... Arashi・Aiba Masaki no Rekomen! Arashi Remix!
(gohan ni suru? ofuro ni suru? so-re-to-mo... Arashi・Aiba Masaki no Rekomen! Arashi Remix!)
(Oshiete, Aibachan!) Tell us, Aibachan!
A: I'll answer to the questions I received from the listeners by e-mails and letters. Let's start this week's one!
O: So let me start quickly.
A: Hai.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
O: Eee... We received it from Tokyo City, radio name "Aiba-kun is a white shirt Prince".
A: Hai! Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Hahaha!!
O: Did you have some moment, recently, when you saw a woman and felt your heart caught by her "femininity"? In what kind of situation? Please tell me.
A: Owaaa...
O: It doesn't need to be recently, but please tell me. By the way, when I was alone looking at Arashi's calendar, Aiba-kun's shaving shot was so manly that it caught my heart, and my hand unconsciously stopped browsing the pages.
A: Shaving scene ne. Haha!! Hai hai hai...
O: There is such shot?
A: Yes, there is... Hahaha!!
O: Hahahaha!!
A: Let me try to explain. There were many itens on the table, like perfume, hat, razor, etc.
O: Hai.
A: There were many many things available.
O: Hai.
A: And I was the first one to choose one within those itens.
O: Were you joking?
A: No, I wasn't. I was choosing seriously which one I wanted to use as an accessory for the photoshoot.
O: Hai.
A: I was wondering what would be better, and finally I chose a very cool one. But then, someone from the staff of the calendar came and I was told that "No, Aiba-kun should use the razor". And I thought "So, razor?" and it made me wonder if my beard is so thick.
O: On the contrary, your beard is sheer.
A: Hahaha!! Maybe that's an image.
O: Hai.
A: So I became a razor character... At that time, I did the photoshoot holding a razor... And what we were talking about? The main topic?
O: Eee... A moment when you feel the "femininity" of a woman.
A: I wonder what it could be... What? Looking at the appearance, in which situation do you feel the femininity, long hair or short hair?
O: Aaah... Well...
A: Very unexpected. I think in both cases there is a moment when I feel the femininity. Long hair and short hair, both have their qualities.
O: I personally like when the girl ties her long hair up.
A: Long hair tied on the top of the head, like a bun.
O: Yes, bun.
A: Ah! Like Kuroyanagi-san's style?
O: Hahaha!
A: That one is extremely big. (If you're curious about her hairstyle, this is Kuroyanagi Tetsuko-san ^^;;)
O: That's true. But not that worldwide sized one.
A: Aaa... It's not the size that counts.
O: Not the size.
A: On the top of the head ne. I see... Eeeh... So what about if it's short hair?
O: Short hair?
A: Short hair.
O: So until how much short is it OK?
A: Like Uchida Yuuki-chan's hair when I was at elementary school.
O: Oh, well, well...
A: I really liked that hairstyle a lot. I liked a lot. I even had the photobook!
O: Hahaha!!
A: Of Uchida Yuuki-chan.
(Uchida Yuuki-san acted in Bambino, remember?)
O: Really?
A: Its name was Sun and Yuuki and... something else... Eh? It's not! It was something like Yuuki and Sun and Cisco Moon... Hahaha!
O: Hahaha!!
A: I had it.
O: Hai.
A: So short hair is also very attractive.
O: Huum.
A: Long hair is attractive too, isn't it? I like the moment when the girl is tying her long hair, or also, the moment when she looses it.
O: It's good ne. Especially the smell of hair conditioner.
A: Aaah! That's the best!
O: That's the best ne.
A: Yes. I prefer those smell of hair conditioner to smell of perfume.
O: When it's different from the smell of the hair conditioner that I have at home, it catches even more attention.
A: A shampoo which is different from the one that I use at home ne. Yes, I understand it. I really understand that feeling very well. What else?
A: Eee... Glasses.
O: Aaah... Do you like glasses?
A: Glasses are nice, don't you think so?
O: What kind? Those with a black frame?
A: No... I think those types that look like a teacher. Like a tutor?
O: Aaah... Without frame? Those that don't have frame?
A: Hum. What do you think? You aren't so interested.
O: Well...
A: But only eventually, depending on the situation.
O: Those types of glasses...
A: It's nice. It's nice when it is only sometimes. The point is the gap! Like something that you usually don't wear, but today you decided to try it.
O: That's true. The gap is very interesting.
A: The gap is nice.
O: I don't have such experience, but for example, working at the same office, she's always wearing pants because she's at work, but to go out in private, she comes wearing skirt.
A: Ah, yes yes. That's it.
O: Huum...
A: So although she's always in long hair...
O: Hahaha!! When it's off, she becomes like Uchida Yuuki?? She'll cut her hair??
A: Hahaha!! Doesn't cut, but maybe that thing... It's getting popular, that thing to put on the head...
O: Ah! Wig?
A: Wig!
O: Hai.
A: It could be nice.
O: Hum. I see...
A: If you do it in front of your friends, or someone who you're interested in... At school the hair is really long, but when going out to have fun with friends, go wearing shorter hair. Then I think it'll work. Like a body blow.
O: It may be a point up.
A: Yes, I think it'll work.
O: Hahaha!!
A: Later.
O: I think so. KO without any doubt.
A: Without any doubt.
O: Hai.
A: I would like them to try it.
O: I agree. The listeners should also try it.
A: Hai. Let's continue.
O: Continuing, with the second mail.
A: Hai.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
O: We received it from Yuki-chan of Hiroshima-ken.
A: Arigatou gozaimasu!
O: Aibachan konAiba!
A: KonAiba!
O: The other day I was watching TV and a certain program was telling that it's possible to affirm that all the students in Chiba-ken have a visit to a soy-sauce factory/plant as a school activity.
A: Yes yes yes.
O: Aibachan, did you go to visit a soy-sauce factory during your student life? And also, where else have you visited? Please tell me.
A: I went to a soy-sauce factory.
O: I'm also from Chiba-ken, right?
A: Yes.
O: I went too.
A: At Noda.
O: There are many soy-sauce factories near Noda.
A: There are many. I went to Noda. Where did you go? Noda?
O: I went to Noda too.
A: I think everybody usually go to Noda. And also miso. (miso used to prepare miso-shiru, miso soup)
O: Did you visit miso?
A: I went to visit a factory of miso. And also Daibutsu.
O: Daibutsu??
A: At Kamakura.
O: Kamakura?
A: Yes. We went to Kamakura as one of school activity.
O: Heee...
A: We visited the Daibutsu, I think it was in the 6th grade.
O: Kamakura, and not Nara.
A: Kamakura. Not Nara.
staff: What about Kamagaya?
A: Not Kamagaya too.
O: Ah! There is one in Kamagaya too.
A: There is one in Kamagaya.
O: At a place called Kamagaya in Chiba...
A: In front of the train station ne. The Kamadai.
O: Kamadai.
A: There is the Kamadai. That's very impressive ne. The Daibutsu of Kamadai.
O: Its impact is very big.
A: I agree. It makes us wonder why it's placed there.
O: Why here...
A: Yes, its presence there.
O: A Daibutsu is really present there.
A: Hahaha! And also when we're already at junior high, students usually go to Nara or Kyoto.
O: Aaah... That's true.
A: Everybody goes.
O: Yes.
A: But we went to Nagano.
O: Hahaha!! Nagano is not so common.
A: It's very unusual ne. I went to Nagano-ken.
O: What? What exactly you went to see there? In details, when you went to Nagano.
A: Ski.
O: Ski. Aaah... So it was like a skiing class.
A: Well, maybe we could choose. I wonder why, but I didn't go to the Daibutsu at Nara, so I've never seen it. I suppose we could choose.
O: So you didn't have a chance to feed the deers?
A: I didn't feed the deers. I just went for skiing.
O: Hai.
A: But it was very enjoyable. When we're at junior high, we usually do dances around camp fire.
O: Like a folk dance...
A: Yes, we used to do it.
O: Yes.
A: What else? Kimo dameshi! For me, that was what I most enjoyed. The camp fire was also enjoyable.
(Kimo dameshi is a kind of play, usually played during campings or school trips, to test the fear. It happens at night, and the place is usually an inland area, or a montain area, and you have to walk alone or in couple, through a route, in the midst of the darkness, and come back were the rest of the group is waiting. One by one, they have to walk through this haunted path, where it's said that ghosts and spirits of dead people do exist.)
O: Hai.
A: The dance was also kinda enjoyable. The "kimo dameshi" is really very frightening, isn't it?
O: It's scary ne.
A: It's scary. It really overtakes the level that junior high kids can think.
O: And when we actually are at the place, it really seems that something will pop up. We always hear those frightening stories.
A: I agree. And there was also something that surprised me when we went to take bath. I think maybe my growth was just slow/delayed, but when I saw during bath that there were some boys who already have a "well-developed" one... (You must know what Aibachan is talking about ne? Boys in elementary school or junior high taking bath at a collective bathroom during a camping or a school trip...)
O: Hai.
A: It was kinda shocking.
O: Hahaha!!
A: Quite shocking.
O: Sometimes there were some elite ne...
A: There were ne.
O: Hai.
A: I have an impression that I was surprised when I saw that. If we go more far, we'll want some draft beer.
O: Hai.
A: I think we should stop here...
O: Just reminding that we're NOT drinking!
