Opening
Aibachan did 2 psychological tests!
Omoide Shredder
Many embarrassing and funny happenings sent by the listeners.
One of them told that she was always singing A.RA.SHI like "You're my son son~!" instead of "You are my soul soul~!" XDD
And Aibachan told that there is a song of NEWS that says "It's big NEWS", but he always thought that it was "1・2・NEWS!" (Read as "Ichi Ni NEWS!")
Oshiete Aibachan!
- For what reason and when Aibachan started to say "KonAiba"?
- Aibachan was asked in a magazine interview what anime character he likes, and he answered "Ayanami Rei of EVANGELION". So the listener asked him to talk about what are the qualities of Ayanami Rei.
- Who was the senpai that you admired in your Johnny's Jr. days?
Words in blue are my observations. Sometimes Aibachan talks to someone, but I don't know who he is. So I just put "staff" in orange, assuming that he's someone from the staff. ^^;
***NOTE***
This time I'm not translating what I listened. This is a translation of the many transcripts and reports of Rekomen that I read in Japanese blogs. I think it's very complete though.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
A: Do you wanna have dinner? Or do you rather take a bath? Or maybe... Arashi・Aiba Masaki no Rekomen! Arashi Remix!
(gohan ni suru? ofuro ni suru? so-re-to-mo... Arashi・Aiba Masaki no Rekomen! Arashi Remix!)
Konbanwa! Arashi no Aiba Masaki desu!
It's already getting very warm!
staff: Yes, hot.
Nee? We're almost in June. And today I got very tanned by the sun. See? My arm is completely red! And, this is, how can I say, a tan with a short-sleeved mark!? It's like, above the elbow it's totally white, and below is totally red ne.
The pain caused by sunburn is very tough. It stings a lot, doesn't it?
staff: Yes.
The sheet of when I go sleep stings so much. So I always take care and wear sunscreen. But today I didn't and ended up doing a photosynthesis. Yes, I did it.
But well, this time I would like to start with a psychological test. Let's start!
This is from... Eee... Iwate-ken, I received this from radio name "Masa King" chan! Arigatou gozaimasu!
Aibachan konAiba!
KonAiba!
There is an interesting psychological test, so please try it.
Firstly, fold your arms.
Hai, will do it.
Then check which arm is above.
For me, it's the right arm.
Is it only this? Let's check the result? Like this?
The result is... If the left arm is above, it means that the left brain is more developed, and if the right arm is above, then the right brain is more developed.
By the way, the left brain indicates a sharp/good sensibility, and the right brain means a great intellect.
But I don't understand very well what does it mean by sensibility or intellect...
Let's see the next psychological test.
I didn't understand it very well. What does sensibility mean?
staff: Art, for example.
Aaah... And what about intellect?
staff: Mathematics.
Aaah... Then I'm good in mathematical/exact science?
staff: I think so.
I see... Actually, when I was in the 1st year of junior high my mark in mathematics was 5. (5 is the best mark/grade.)
staff: Heee...
But it was only in the 1st year.
Let me continue.
I received this from radio name "cash register pro" san!
KonAiba! Eee... Today I'm submitting a psychological test which I want Aibachan to do it.
You're walking in the street and another person is coming in your direction from the opposite side. What's the age of this person?
That's the psychological test.
Eh? You're walking and another person is coming in your direction from the opposite side. What's the age of this person...
21 years old, I guess. Hahaha!!
The result... In this psychological test, the age that you answered shows your mental age.
Urusai! I'm almost 26!!
staff: Hahahaha!!
21... Well... I'm glad that at least I didn't answer junior high student ne.
I'm glad! Hahaha!!
So let's start this week's Arashi! Aiba Masaki no Rekomen Arashi Remix!
Again... Konbanwa! It's Aiba Masaki from Arashi! This program is broadcasted to the national network, having Tokyo Hamamatsu's Bunka Housou as the key station.
Quickly, I would like to play tonight's first song! This is a song that I want everyone to learn, please! This song may appear in the test afterwards! Please, memorize it! So please listen, One Love by Arashi!
.....One Love.....
Anata no mimi ni checkmate!! Arashi・Aiba Masaki no Rekomen! Arashi Remix!
(checkmate to your ear!)
(Omoide Shredder) Memory Shredder
Omoide Shredder has the purpose of taking your shameful/embarrassing memories or past memories that you want to forget, and having them shredded by me, Aiba Masaki, using a shredder.
This week we received so many as well ne! We received a lot of memories to be shredded, so I would like to introduce them!
Eee... From Fukui-ken, Chisato-chan? Chiduru-chan? Chihiro-chan? I made some mistakes... I received this from Chihiro-chan! Arigatou gozaimasu!
Aibachan konAiba! It happened when I was in the 5th grade of elementary school, and we were in the middle of our preparations to commemorate the students in 6th grade who were graduating. I suddenly wanted to go to the toilet, but I couldn't leave the place at that moment, so I tried to bear as much as I could.
When I was finally able to go to the toilet, I tried to lower the pants that I was wearing under the uniform, but I couldn't undress it. Because the waist of the pants was large so I tied it very firmly. The feeling of relief after reaching the toilet and despair mixed up, and before being able to lower my pants.......
Nobody noticed because I was wearing uniform, but I felt so ashamed. And in the end, I had to stay in those soaking wet pants, until we finish the preparations and go back home.
That was my worst and most shameful happening of my life.
Aibachan, please throw it away completely. Please.
I see... I think such situation may happen to anyone. For me too, after becoming Arashi, we were doing the rehearsals... And I wonder where it was... Perhaps in Osaka? I think it was in Osaka-Jo Hall. And I was already on my limit. Really in my limit. But the rehearsals had already started, and we can't just stop during the rehearsals. I can't say stuff like "Aiba-kun is going to the toilet, so please wait a minute!"
So I was really trying to bear as much as I could. I was almost to have a cystitis, but I had to bear.
Then, I ran to the toilet and... you know that feeling of relief... of the moment when we view the toilet in front of us... the moment of when we lower the pants... we feel that it takes so long...
Such thing happened to me. Yes, it happened...
But I didn't get soaking wet! Maybe just splashed a bit outside the toilet.
Let me continue.
I received this from ・・・san of Fukuoka-ken!
Eee... This is something that happened during my dance class, on May 15th.
We decided to use the debut song of Arashi "A.RA.SHI" to create the dance steps. When we first sang together, some people were making the same mistake as Taka-san of Tunnels (Ishibashi-san of Kuwazu Girai), singing like "Arashi Arashi Oh Yeah~!!" and I was making fun of them.
But we decided to do all over again, and sang one more time. But then I turned out to be the next one to be teased by them. I was singing "You are my son son~!" instead of "You are my soul soul~!"
If you think a little, it's directly translated into "You're my son, son" (Anata wa watashi no musuko, musuko~!)
Eee... For me, as an Arashi fan, and after making fun of the others so much, this mistake was really shocking. Because I've always thought that it was like that.
To make things worse, I realized later that the pronunciation of "soul" is not [son], but [sou]. It's like making mistakes after mistakes. As a high school student... Eee... This is indeed a shameful mistake.
But I think it may happen quite often, when it comes to songs. If you listen without looking the lyrics card, yes it may happen.
It happened to me too. There is a song of NEWS that says "It's big NEWS", but I've always thought that it was "1・2・NEWS!" (Read as "Ichi Ni NEWS!")
And I was always thinking that maybe they wanted to go like "1・2・3". Since such mistakes may happen, please take care ne.
Let me continue!
Eee... Continuing, this is from Yamaguchi-ken. I received this from radio name Poko-chan.
Eee... I enjoy listening to your radio show every week. Please, take my memory of a mistake that I committed some time ago, to the shredder.
The other day I went to a service area where there is a "Dog Run" ("Dog Run" are places where people can take their dogs to play, run, freely. Those places can be found along the highway, so that people who are traveling by car can stop over and take their pets to relax a bit.)
Maybe due to the Golden Week holidays, the "Dog Run" was very crowded. The dogs, tired of the highway travel, were all playing around, having fun. Although I myself don't have a dog, I was just looking at them, because I love dogs. Then, I noticed that there were some cats among the dogs, playing around in the grass, having fun together. I was going to say to a mother who was next to me, that "For cats, maybe it's called Cat Run." But instead of this, the word that came out from my mouth was "For cats, maybe it's called Dog Nyan!"
So I tried to correct saying "Ah, I made a mistake. I meant Nyan Run!" and ended up making another mistake. Then I said "No, it's not, it's not... I meant Cat Nyan", making mistake again! Although there were many people around me, I did a mistake all alone, and felt really embarrassed alone.
I see... I see... Huum... But misunderstandings may happen to everyone. I'll take this to the shredder ne, Poko-chan. Just wait a little ne. I'm going to read one more.
Eee... This letter is from someone who is writing for the first time. I received this from Emi-chan of Tokyo City! Arigatou gozaimasu!
Eee... I have a memory that I really want it to be shredded in the Memory Shredder. This is something that happened when I was working in a part-time job at a ski resort during my winter vacation of high school. I was in charge of the announcement of informations, and there was a work where we had to transmit the announcement to the entire ski resort, a couple of times during the day.
The phrase is almost always the same, so it's quite easy, we just have to repeat it, even so I did this mistake.
Near the end of the announcement...
It's written here "Please, read it like an elevator girl."
Eee... Where I should say "Please, attend the information place." I said "Impo... Aaah! Please, come to the information place." instead.
("impo" = abbreviation of impotence.)
I misspelled in the worst timing, and to make things worse, I was so shocked that I screamed like "Hah!!" I couldn't help it. For a moment, the whole ski resort burst out laughing, and I felt so ashamed that I couldn't go out from the announcement room for a long while.
I see... She misspelled and yet it became a word which makes sense ne... Especially, this "In... Impo, mation" right? This is kind of... It became a word that is not so nice...
Well, we can't help such mistakes. Let's move on with this life of high and lows, ne people.
So I'm going to take all those shameful memories from everybody, to the shredder.
(wiii~n!!)
Goodbye~ shameful past!
That was the Memory Shredder!
Now please listen to a song of Arashi! Happiness by Arashi!
.....Happiness.....
When the children fall asleep... In secret... Arashi・Aiba Masaki no Rekomen! Arashi Remix!
(Oshiete, Aibachan!) Tell us, Aibachan!!
I would like to answer the questions I received from the listeners by e-mails and letters! Today we have many as always. Let's start!
Firstly, from Kanagawa-ken. I received this from Yuri-chan. Arigatou gozaimasu!
KonAiba!
KonAiba!
It's been almost 1 year since I started to listen this radio show, and these days I'm curious about one thing. What's the beginning of "KonAiba"? Please tell me.
Alright. Yuri-chan. I also don't remember very well but... This was before Tsubouchi-san, right? When Tsubouchi-san first came, it was already "KonAiba" ne. So when the current director came, it already existed.
When was that? It was quite a long time ago... It's been 7 years since I started this radio show, right? I think that "KonAiba" appeared very in the beginning.
At first, a listener sent a mail and it was written in the beginning, "KonAiba" instead of "Konbanwa". And I thought "Uwaa~! This is fun!" and decided to use it. And since then, I've been using it all the time. That's it. So it began with a listener's idea. The "KonAiba"! It's been a long time. Well, sometimes I use it, sometimes I don't, but I want to keep using it, Yuri-chan!
Let me continue.
The next is from Saitama-ken, I received this from radio name Nappii-chan!
Konbanwa!
KonAiba!
I always enjoy listening to your radio show every week.
Eee... Some time ago, I saw in a magazine that Aibachan wrote that the anime character that you like is "Ayanami Rei from EVANGELION".
(Remember when Nakagawa Shoko aka "Shokotan" was the guest on Shukudaikun? They wore cosplay and Shokotan chose the cosplay of Ayanami Rei coz she loves that anime character.)
I would like to confirm, is it true?
I've never read it but I heard a bit about the story, and I couldn't understand very well what is so interesting in it. Though I understand the other Arashi members who answered "Minami-chan from Tacchi".
So please talk intensely about the qualities that Ayanami Rei has. Please.
This... Actually, I don't watch "EVANGELION"... Hahaha!
But I remember that I was asked about that. I was asked "What character do you like?" when I was talking to the writer and to the person in charge of the interview. And I couldn't answer any anime character girl that I like. Then I was asked instead "What about Ayanami Rei?" So I answered "Aaah... I think she's nice. She has a nice looks." and judged by her looks. And what else... Tsukaji-san. Sometimes I go drink with Tsukaji-san, and Tsukaji-san loves "EVANGELION". And the only knowledge that I have is what I heard from Tsukaji-san when he was talking intensely about her.
Seems that she's an adroid, right?
staff: Yes, actually she's not a human.
Nabe-chan, do you know?
staff: I know.
Ah, do you know?
staff: Yes, of course! Hahaha!!
Hahaha!! Do you like? Do you like Ayanami Rei?
staff: Yes, but...
Hum.
staff: I prefer the other one, called Asuka.
Aaah... Asuka ne... The one that has orange coloured hair, right?
staff: Yes, that's it, that's it.
I... Actually I only know from that... how can I say... Since I've never watched the anime, I only saw the characters in a special edition of some book or something. What else? Shinji-kun?
staff: Ah, I know him.
Shinji-kun is the one who pilots Evangelion, right?
staff: Yes, he does.
And his character is kind of ambivalent...
staff: Hum. You seem to be very well informed. Hahaha!!
Hum. But Ayanami Rei was the one who piloted before.
staff: Yes, before Shinji-kun.
She piloted before ne.
staff: Yes.
And Ayanami Rei used to come back all injured.
staff: That's right.
That was a very useless talk, but that's all I know about.
staff: Aaah... Hai, hai...
Because Tsukaji-san had inputted that on me.
staff: Hahaha!
Although that's all that I know... Well... What I find nice? Think it's the looks ne. Hahaha!!
staff: Hahaha!!
Nappii-chan ne, I'm sorry for this useless talk.
staff: Hahaha!
Let me continue.
Eee... Eee... I received this from radio name "Torihada Souritsu" san of Saitama-ken. Arigatou gozaimasu!
Aibachan konAiba! I always enjoy listening to your radio show.
Seems that Chinen-kun really likes Ohno-kun of Arashi ne.
My question is, in Aibachan's Johnny's Jr. days, who was the senpai that you admired? Please tell me.
Well, the main reason of why I wanted to join Johnny's was SMAP, and SMAP are a senpai that I still admire a lot.
And among the Juniors, there was a kind of hierarchical relationship among the Juniors too. We also had a great difference of age.
So at that time, I wonder if you'll know... Kohara Yuki-kun. He was a senpai who was way above me, so I was always looking at him. I admired him. As for the dance too.
Well, at that time, the dance was the main, and the dance was everything.
Hum. I think so...
AIR MAX was very popular at that time. AIR MAX 96.
96? Huh? 96... a yellow coloured one.
staff: That was 95.
Ah! 95. Yes yes yes.
staff: The one that had a gradation of colors.
Ah, yes, the one of gradation.
staff: It's the 95 then.
It was really popular at that time.
staff: Air Max hunt?
Hahahaha!! Yes, Air Max hunt!
staff: Hahahaha!!
That became also a news. Quite often.
staff: Huum...
How nostalgic... Indeed nostalgic!
Many recollections coming out.

The ending time is nearing... Today I played it twice! The new single One Love. Eee... It's going to be on sale on June 25th. This is the theme song of Fi... Eh? "Hana Yori Dango Final" ne.
Seems that the first press limited edition comes with a DVD.
We already recorded it! Just a few days ago. We did ne? We finished the shooting very smoothly.
This time, how does it look like? It looks quite tough to join all the CGs used in it.
Who was that director... He's the same director of another work... I think Arashi already worked with this director a couple of times, and the shooting went very well.
If I'm not wrong, the director has almost the same age as Riida. A very young director. And he's very good in works using CG and such.
So please, take a look at One Love. And please, listen to it too!
And also, we're in the midst of our 5 Dome Tour.
June 14th and 15th will be in Tokyo Dome, June 18th and 19th in Fukuoka Dome, and July 5th and 6th in Sapporo Dome.
